It's hard to put into words how grateful our family is for everyone at Charter Senior Living in Bowling Green. My mom has called Charter home for the past six years, and during that time we've experienced nothing but compassion, kindness, and genuine care from every department. As Mom's health has changed over the years, the staff has continually gone above and beyond to make sure she is safe, comfortable, and treated with dignity. It truly feels like she is surrounded by extended family. A special thank you to Jim for his leadership and creating a culture where residents genuinely come first. Don has been an incredible resource from day one, always caring, responsive, and willing to help in any way he can. Jason, the Finance Director, has also been wonderful to work with. He takes the time to listen, understands each family's unique situation, and works hard to find solutions with both professionalism and compassion. We are especially thankful for Aida, who takes such wonderful care of Mom's medications and always makes us feel confident she's in good hands. Courtney is always welcoming with a smile and is a tremendous help both at the front desk and in the dining area. Also Ashley, the resident Nurse has been amazing and kind to work with when it comes to Mom's healthcare. The kitchen staff deserves so much recognition as well. Tammy, Jessica, Brandon, Rebecca ("Pop Tart"), and Massey work incredibly hard every day to make residents feel cared for and valued. They always greet everyone with kindness, and it's obvious they truly enjoy serving the residents. The housekeeping team also deserves a huge thank you. They are consistently friendly, caring, and take great pride in keeping everything clean and comfortable. We're also grateful for the Empower rehabilitation team providing Mom's occupational and physical therapy. They have been patient, encouraging, and accommodating throughout her rehabilitation, always treating her with respect while helping her maintain as much independence as possible. One of the brightest parts of Mom's day is the activities program. Kathy does an amazing job creating opportunities for residents to stay engaged, active, and connected. And Nonny is simply a joy”her energy, enthusiasm, and love for the residents are contagious. She brings smiles wherever she goes. To every caregiver, nurse, dining team member, housekeeper, therapist, and staff member whose name I may have missed”thank you. You don't just provide care; you provide comfort, friendship, dignity, and peace of mind for families like ours. After six years, we can honestly say choosing Charter Senior Living in Bowling Green has been one of the best decisions our family has ever made. We are forever grateful for the love and compassion you've shown our mom. I wish I could give Charter more than 5 Stars! I truly recommend Charter with all my heart.

Can’t say enough about how amazing the staff and director at Charter Senior Living are!!! They really care about their residents. When my mother-in-law moved there 2 years ago, my husband and I were worried she wouldn’t be happy there. Now, she runs us off when she has prayer group, church or bingo! But she loves her grandkids to come for arts and crafts activities. If you’re looking for a safe environment for yourself or your family member, this is the best! We looked at all of the facilities in Bowling Green before we picked this one.

Although my mom’s time was brief there, My mom absolutely loved her decision to move into Charter Senior Living and would say she wished she had moved sooner. From the moment she walked in the door she felt at home. The staff and the residents made her instantly feel apart of their family/community. Mom looked forward to the daily activities and loved the food!! Everyone at Charter was so caring and compassionate to our family, during what was a difficult time for us. I would highly recommend Charter Senior Living for any loved one.

We moved my mother to Charter 18 months ago and it has been a wonderful assisted living facility. The process to get her set up there was simple and she made friends immediately. The staff is attentive and friendly, the services to choose from were exactly what we needed to make her retired years comfortable and active. I highly recommend booking a tour and seeing all they have to offer if you are looking in Bowling Green!

Charter and its wonderful staff took exceptional care of my aunt for three years and I can't say enough good things about the care she received. Even after, when nursing home care was required, the staff kept tabs on her, visited her, and kept in touch with family. The staff is full of good people who are always kind and always helpful. The facilities aren't flashy, but the care is what people need. I recommend without reservation.

Don and Tracy are absolutely outstanding! It’s a pleasure to have them as a community partner on a professional level to help transition individuals to an ALF setting. I recently completed a tour at the facility. Everyone was so happy and welcoming! The atmosphere was one of a kind. You could truly tell the individuals who live in the community are happy to be there. Such a great experience. Also, the food was delicious! And they have a pool! Highly recommend!

I have never had anything but WONDERFUL experiences. I have always been treated with the most respect from all the staff and management. Don & Tracy are great at making a moving process so simple. Don is so kind and pleasant. Tracy makes sure with the process that all involved stays in the loop. Tracy is kind, sweet,and shows respect for someone transitioning to the next step of their life. I would highly recommend this community to anyone that is looking. The community may not have all the upgrades but it's what inside the walls of the community with the care that makes the difference!

Our 95 yr old grandmother took a fall May 2019 at home. She was previously very insistent that she would remain in her home. After her fall we were able to convince her to move into Charter Senior Living after she toured the facility. We were impressed with the amount of activity in the residents and how happy they all were. We even asked several of them during the walk through with Don Franks how they liked living at Charter. Every person we spoke with was upbeat, happy and had nothing but great things to say about Charter and the team. They were even asking Don to show us their apartments! It was adorable and a strong testament to how well they are cared for and that the Charter staff continually excel at their jobs. In speaking with Granny recently, she is very happy that she made this move. She was nervous at first because it was something new but the other residents and staff took her under their wing and really made her feel welcome. Now she enjoys hanging out with her friends watching TV and participating in activities like painting her finger nails and some arts and crafts. It is so nice to see the quality of life she has now and the gleam in her eye. Thank you Charter team for taking such wonderful care of her.

I moved to bowling green from cocoa florida , I have never given Kentucky a thought. My son lives in Morgantown and didn’t like me living alone after my husband his father died. A place for mom tried to talk me into buying into a coummunity but that was not something I wanted. I eventually reached Don and other staff here they made the move easier than I thought possible. He did a walk though with my son and a vertical one with me. I have a very comfortable one bedroom with kitchen . I’m very comfortable I have an outside door so l can toilet my dog with ease, the staff is great and very helpful and all things concidered I find this affordable. Having a Positive attitude when making this change in life will help a lot also .

My aunt has lived at Charter for over 8 years. Since the first day she joined Charter the staff have been absolutely amazing. My aunt has several needs and no matter what the need is, the staff and management at Charter have made arrangements for her care and support. I have many memories of staff going above and beyond for my aunt including bringing her flowers on a bad day, getting her involved in activities, and frequent hugs. My aunt lives in a spacious room that is cleaned regularly. The food at Charter is also fabulous. It's not what would be expected at a facility--it is on another level good! The staff and management at Charter are consistently available, approachable, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. Jim, Don, Tracey, Aida, Desiree, and countless others are simply wonderful. I have worked at Charter in Bowling Green since early 2018 and I love it. My mother even lives there now. The staff is committed to quality care and excellent customer service and there's lots going on if residents want to get involved. The building is a bit older but its super clean, well kept and we continue to invest in the building and property. Recently, we transitioned my Mom from her trilevel home to a 1BR apartment at Charter. Of all the facilities that we visited in Bowling Green, this one was the one that went out of their way to answer all our questions, provide multiple visits, including home visits to my Mom, and do everything possible to make the move a positive experience. All of the staff are friendly and have worked to develop a relationship with Mom. The residents truly care for each other like a neighborhood. Don Franks is a genuine, caring soul and will go to great lengths to accommodate your loved one. Tracy Chapman, the health and wellness coordinator, has bent over backwards to address my Mom’s health issues an ensure she is well-cared for. While it is an older facility that may need a little care on the outside, don’t let that deter you from considering this facility as a choice to help care for your loved-one when they reach that stage of their life.

When we were considering a place for our parents to live, Don gave my sister & I a tour of the facility. We were immediately impressed with the sense of family. Don knew every resident by name as did other employees. The residents were smiling as we passed them. It was an easy decision for where they would live. After our parents moved in, the administration and staff were always available to talk about my concerns and quickly responded. There was always a deep caring for the residents that I observed. Taking care of seniors is not an easy task! Add to that the nightmare of Covid-19! Being a senior is not easy at all! I observed great patience & love in the staff for the residents. Every time I stopped by to visit, my mother would tell me that they were taking such good care of her. She wasn't happy about moving there, but she was happy living there. If you are looking for a newer, fancier facility, you can find it. But from my observation, those places are cold and uninviting. If you are looking for a family environment, Charter of Bowling Green is your best choice! My family is so grateful for the care given my parents at Charter at a very difficult time in their lives. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
