Location is everything. Lakewood Park Manor has it. There are two malls across the street. A third mall is just a few blocks away. Major retailers, restaurants, shopping, services, and fast food is everywhere. I came here a while back after a long stay in a nursing home due to complications from throat cancer. I lost my home, and this assisted living facility was recommended to me. I am treated well, with respect, dignity, and kindness. Everything I need is provided. Healthy delicious meals, housekeeping, medicine, laundry, and experienced care from excellent caregivers. There are recreational activities, as well as special holiday meals and events. I have had a good life since I have been here. I really enjoy living here. I come and go as I please, and all the assistance I need to live a healthy, happy life is provided. Thank you Lakewood Park Manor for all you have done, and continue to do, to keep me a happy camper.

Ok, this was one of the places that were recommended through Kaiser. This place isn’t far from Kaiser, it’s literally across the way. The facility is surrounded by attractions. As it is across from the shopping center, Starbucks, movie theater, Walmart and restaurants. It’s definitely a great location as everything is in walking distance since everything is across the way. As we arrived, we got a good vibe of the place. A lot of smiles and there were residents and staff in the lobby welcoming us in. As we toured the place, we saw live entertainment for the residents to enjoy. Music, dancing and everyone socializing. The place is very clean and beautiful as they recently updated the look. We decided to pick this place!

Lakewood Park Manor was the only Senior Living Community that my family and mother toured. She expressed to us after our visit that this was the place was where she wanted to move to when she was ready. We looked no further. Well, ready came a couple years later when our mother finally got tired of the responsibilities of owning a home and desired more socialization. The wonderful staff and residents at Lakewood Park made our mother's transition to the community a very pleasant experience. I would highly suggest that if you are looking for a senior living community for yourself or a loved one, you visit Lakewood Park Manor. You will not be disappointed.

My mother had a fall last year and her recovery was definitely difficult and made it frankly impossible for us take care of her full-time. She ended up having to go Lakewood Park Manor in Downey CA because it just made more sense to have her in a well respected convalescent home rather than having untrained family members trying take care of her properly. She liked it so much she has already decided that she wants to move back in a few years if her mobility stars to to deteriorate again. Thank you so much to everyone who is treat her so well.

We were unsure for a long time of whether or not this was actually the right call but since the facility was right here in Downey near us and because it was getting harder and harder to take proper care of her ourselves we decided to go ahead and let her have her way. It's never fun be searching for things like convalescent homes I know but it's a decision that is so important so I highly recommend doing your homework. We did ours for months and everything we saw kept pointing us back to Lakewood Park Manor. After my mother died my father was all alone and he refused to let us take him in because he thought he would be a burden on us. We thought him forever but he came to us and told us he wanted to go to a retirement home and he even picked out Lakewood Park Manor himself. We really didn't have a choice in the matter but as usual he was right. This facility is wonderful and every time we visit he smiling from ear to ear.

I never wanted to put my mother in a convalescent home but it turned out that the situation gave us no choice. With her health and our distance and my father passing away we had no choice but to get her round the clock help. We definitely did our homework when it came time to finding her a perfect spot and we were pretty confident that Lakewood Park Manor was it. We found the care at Lakewood Park Manor to be extraordinary. From the front desk to security to the dining room staff, everyone knew my dad and looked out for him. My mom has been in Lakewood Park Manor for a month. We have found her to be happy. She is making new friends. She is putting on weight. She looks better because she loves the food and eats more than she has in years! She is taking her medicine on a regular basis, which has also helped her to feel better. The staff is kind.
