Held a Celebration of Life at this facility. Leo the cook provided a fantastic Lasagna lunch that everyone raved about and had second serving along with a very tasteful salad and french bread. Dessert was ice cream and jello. All for a very reasonable $15 per person. All the servers were very friendly and extremely helpful. The dining area is very roomy and can accommodate 35-40 people very comfortably. Also had a large screen television for our slide show. I would highly recommend this venue for any occasion.

Where can I even begin, my grandmother is a resident here at Rio las Palmas and she loves it and so do I. The caregivers are so sweet and caring and so helpful. They are so kind and always have a smile on their faces. You can tell when someone loves what they do. Management is great as well, everyone here is always so willing to help and answer any questions or concerns. They have great activities for the residents and even communion which is my grandmother's favorite part because it's done in the community.

After 15 years of caregiving my sister, I lost her this past June. In May, I had to make the difficult decision about where she would live after leaving a skilled nursing facility. I toured several assisted living communities in the area, looking for a dedicated, highly trained, compassionate nursing staff to help my sister thrive. After speaking with the Director of Health and Wellness, Jennifer Almendarez, her colleague nurse Karen and her staff, I gratefully chose Rio Las Palmas. I knew my sister would be in expert hands. And she was. Her major organs compromised, my sister was extremely sick. Yet Jennifer, Karen, the exceptional Med Tech Gloria, the culinary staff and many others fought to keep her healthy and happy. I cannot write enough positive statements about the care she received. Although she had little time left, residing only 2 weeks at Rio, Jane was lovingly cared for by the Rio caregiver staff. They anticipated her every need, spent time getting to know her and adopted her and me into their family. She was happy during her last days at Rio. I am beyond thankful. Kathryn D

Rio Las Palmas is absolutely the best!!! You walk in the door into a well laid out lobby that is clean, bright, and cheerful. With a big waterfall and lots of room for people to congregate. We put my mother here when she could no longer live by herself. She loves her apartment here! It looks brand new and is very bright and cheerful too! She is in a five star resort. The Staff here are very kind, caring, and attend to her every need. When mom needs something she doesn't have, they will bring her something to use until I get it for her. The nurses Jennifer and Karen are over the top! It is amazing how attentive and caring they are. They saw my mother had a problem and sent her to hospital for care. Then they visited her in the hospital to make sure she was well cared for!! They along with Gloria are the absolute best care team you will find anywhere! The food at Rio Las Palmas is excellent too. Aside from the day's planned menu, you also have choices from an a la carte menu of everyday favorites. you will always find something good to eat here. They have their bus to take guests to appointments or on field trips. And they have an on site beauty shop. There are so many more amenities that I can't mention them all now. But be sure to check them all out. Seriously, if you take a tour of Rio Las Palmas, you will be very impressed. And if you or a loved one move in here, you will absolutely love it here!!

I researched and toured several assisted living communities for my father and am incredibly thankful for finding Rio Las Palmas. I was initially impressed when I scheduled our tour and saw how nice the residences and grounds were maintained and the amount of daily activities they offer, but what truly stood out were the people. My father requires a high level of care and this transition has not been easy, but I could not be happier with the support we have received from everyone on staff, especially the Health and Wellness Team! Without doubt, I highly recommend scheduling a tour and considering this community!

Wonderful community! My family member lived here for a short amount of time however, Rio Las Palmas made a lasting impression. The staff was beyond wonderful. Nurses Jennifer and Karen made a great impact on our family. The nurses always offered time and attention. Care staff showed kindness and compassion. My mom had to transition from independent living to assisted living and the care she is receiving is beyond the scope of what I expected. I brought my nana and my brother for the Easter Eggstrvaganza , and we had such a great time! We really enjoyed the music, food, and all the fun activities. The staff was so kind and welcoming especially Elena, who gave outstanding service and made sure everyone felt included. The outstanding thing is the service for the elderly residents. The staff are long term and stable. Many other places have very high turnover of staff. The combination of higher service and room layouts and balconies are the best around. Food service is fine also. My mother has been in 3 places over the decades. She’s happy here.

My parents lived at Rio for 3 1/2 years and enjoyed their time there. The staff is very caring & kind, understanding the different stages seniors go through as they age. They are patient & treat their residents with dignity, respect & compassion. There are lots of activities to participate in from exercise to movies to crafts, and special holiday events. I especially appreciated the way they celebrate their Veterans on Veterans’ Day, and I could see how honored each Veteran felt. Thank you for caring for my parents!

Rio Las Palmas is truly an exceptional place! Everyone there is professional, caring, and creates a warm and inclusive environment. Jennifer, Johana, Liz, and the rest of the staff are there to help you and your loved ones. They will go out of their way to make sure your loved ones are cared for. Since 2018, four of our relatives have lived there and we have had nothing but positive experiences. The facilities are clean, the food is delicious, and the caregivers and med techs are excellent! My mom has been living her for just about 2 years, first independently and now in assisted living. It’s very clean and there are a ton of daily activities for her to participate in if she chooses (art classes, bingo, music, movie nights, etc) the food is good according to my mom. But the nurses here in assisted living are THE BEST! They are patient and kind and are available to me and my mom when I have questions or need any info about her, I’m specifically talking about Jennifer and Karen. I live about two hours away and they have always been incredibly helpful.

This place is amazing! We looked at other places for our mother but none compared to Rio Las Palmas! It's clean and the grounds are beautiful. The staff, you will not find any place that has a more friendly or helpful staff. They always have a smile. The food is always amazing! Better than alot of restaurants. I would definitely recommend Rio Las Palmas, the people are so caring at Rio.. the residents are called by name, treated with respect and are happy to be there . My experience with all staff member's has been nothing but top notch. I enjoy seeing how happy residents are at Rio.. karen and jennifer have done a great job helping my family stay on top of meds and making sure theyt stay on top of there appointments. When it was time for my mom to choose an assisted living facility, the family was obviously worried. My mother was set in her ways and independent, but health wise it was time. She was at Rio Las Palmas for 4 years, and recently passed peacefully. I cannot express enough gratitude to this place for the compassionate care they provided, and the peace of mind the family had. The staff became her extended family, the food was good, and she thrived. When you walk in the accommodating lobby will grab your attention, and some fun activity will be happening.

The staff were so helpful after my mother passed. I came in from so cal to deal with her apartment and had never been there before. The facility was VERY nice. It was clean and when we came there was a karoke guy singing to the residents, many of whom were "rocking to the oldies". The staff helped me deal with a lot of issues I had and have been very prompt with communications. Lizeth, the manager has been very helpful. The apartment itself was pretty darn cute. and their prices were very fair. I had priced other places for other people a few years back down in so cal and they were at least 2,000 a month more a month. The only issue I knew about what that my mom said they had 5 star gormet food and she was super excited about that, only to find out after she was in she HAD to eat in dining room w other residents (she didn't want to I guess) or pay a charge per day to get it to her room. Then once she did get it, she said it was not good. I found extensive bills for door dash, etc paid in her stash of paperwork, so it seems she chose to not eat what was offered. I do have to say the day I was there the menu looked good. It had chicken fried steak and veg and mash and some dessert, but I didn't actually taste any of it. Apparently, the company that provides the food is named 5 star gourmet, which is not the same as being ranked as a 5 star gourmet meal. I did not take off any stars from that in my ranking because I never actually ate it. I had terrific help after my mom passed and the entire staff was quite helpful.

I moved my 84 year old cousin to Rio Las Palmas in November, 2017. I live in Michigan but visit CA annually to check up on him. Up to that point, he had lived alone with a very small social group. His first impression was the marvelous food and the varied menu (not available nowdue to COVID). Food was very important to him! He really liked the environment, having his own 1-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor. He always kept much to himself but he was happy and content. I was exceptionally pleased with the ambience of Rio as well as the care my cousin received. The entire staff Is well trained and I was immediately notified at any hour of day if there was a problem or emergency. Moving my cousin there was the best choice! I had total peace of mind about his care and was pleased he adapted well there. Even though he never participated, there were always activities going on. I recommend anyone looking for a beautifully appointed, reasonably priced assisted living local for themselves or loved ones To check Rio Las Palmas out. I believe you will be pleased and excited about what they offer there!

Just recently moved a loved one to Rio Las Palmas. The staff and leadership have been overly helpful, accessible, kind, and respectful during this move/ transitional time. My parents have recently moved to Rio Las Palmas and it has been quite an adjustment after living independently for so long, but the staff have been so kind and really come to the aid of their needs as they adjust. The staff has been so accommodating to helping them adjust that it gives me such a piece of mind since I live over 5,000 miles away and an only child. We had looked at several other facilities, but Rio stood out to us for we never heard a negative comment from anyone, all was positive and as we met more residents there they were all very happy. Rio provides so many activities that everyone can join in or just to sit in the lobby and meet new friends. I'm so glad that during this transition in my parents lives that there is a place like Rio Las Palmas!!

The staff here has been incredibly attentive to our needs during our Mother's stay here, from helping with the move in, the wonderful environment during her stay, to assistance in her transition into an in home care facility. We cannot thank you enough.

My friend has been a resident here for six months. I visit three times a week. The staff knows me by name and are very polite and cordial. The activities and efforts the staff go to to create an exciting, creative, mentally stimulating and enjoyable environment just continually amaze me. They are holiday and seasonal, as well as daily oriented. As someone said, the place is spotless always, no odors and above and beyond any expectations of an assisted living place. Liz Guerrero and desk staff always greet me with a smile and my name! My friend is fed three gourmet meals a day, has housekeepers clean and change her bed for her weekly and as needed. Room is spacious, well-lighted and patio is clean and safe. Intercom system is awesome: can be to individual room (to remind them to come to dinner) or all rooms, "The mail is in").

If and when my elderly parents need a place to stay whether independent or assisted living, I will consider bringing them here! Their facility has a wonderful staff, from their resident director, Karen and Executive Director, Lizeth Guerrero all the way to the kitchen staff! They have restaurant dining, transportation that takes the residents on field trips. The community is so clean, and you can smell the cleanliness as soon as you walk in. They always have activities to do for the residents. It’s centrally located in Stockton so that’s a plus!

I give this place 5 stars because it’s a great place and I admire Lizeth Guerrero. She is a great person, very intelligent, understanding, welcoming, generous, and she is constantly thinking of new ideas and ways she can improve Rio Las Palmas, she remembers all the residents names & their families as well, all the residents love her, everyone does. She knows how to do her job and she bends over backwards to get the job done.

I am a hospice nurse. I visit Rio Las Palmas at least twice a week to see patients. Rio is honestly one of the best (if not THE best) facility I visit as the staff is so friendly and helpful. The nurses, med techs, and caregivers are very forthcoming in providing me information so I can better serve my hospice patients and their families. The staff at other facilities in the area are not as amenable as Rio and obtaining information can be like pulling teeth. I appreciate the collaborative approach that Rio offers because caring for a hospice patient is a team effort.
