Writing this review on behalf of Pat Miller a resident:I feel secure and I love the food. My best part is I love to play games and activities and we have so much to do. There are so many good people that live here and work here. I love the new bus and the drivers. The apartment are so nice and cozy. I love this place and I am so happy to be here. My mom receives excellent care at Five Star of North Woods. They have had to make many difficult decisions during the Covid pandemic, but I believe those are always made in the best interest of their residents, and they have kept everyone healthy as a result. They try very hard to accommodate visits and communication between residents and family.

Hi, my name is Kay Messick. Im writing this post to acknowledge and thank the staff of 5 Star Northwoods. This past month I have experienced the medical care and help of some exceptional nurses. I have grown to love them. Then there is the dietary department. They not only brought food, they brought cheer! The business staff took care of any of my needs. I am so thankful for all these people and to have this place to live while enjoying my fellow residents.

I have been employed with Northwoods Commons for going on 6 years now. I have NEVER worked anywhere where the Mgt. team and employees are so engaged (and happy to be) with the residents. Our Lifestyle 360 program keeps our family of residents happy and healthy, mind, body and soul! Its indescribable the laughter and family like atmosphere that surrounds each and every day. The spirit of happiness and contentment is very well felt here. We encourage family and friends to take part in our programs and experience this their selves.

I love the staff and their true love, compassion, and care for the residents from the management staff down! When we are coming or going, the staff at the front greets us and asks us about our outing. The food staff takes the time to learn their likes and dislikes and just like any good restraunt knows them by name and greets them like theyre family. The activity staff has things lined up that the residents enjoy and gives them the opportunity to win things they may not be able to get out to purchase. They also have special parties to include the families! And lastly but more importantly the care giving staff is priceless. They keep me updated when I come in and know the residents routines, needs and habits to better care for them. Most times when visiting I see several staff hugging my mom and talking to her about things as though they were her sons and daughters too. Most importantly she is well cared for and you can tell she loves the staff by the smile on her face when she interacts with them!! Love this place!!!

We moved my Great Aunt into North Woods Commons a couple years ago and I have to say it was the best thing we could of done for her. She has made many new friends thru the activity program and she loves the food. We take comfort knowing she is taken care of and is in a safe environment.
