We were pleased to find Garden Plaza for our mom. The decorating made her feel at home. The rooms are big enough, but not too big. The staff is kind and caring. They have safe protocols for flu and other viruses. The dining room is inviting and mom could order ice cream at lunch and dinner time! Take a tour!

We were fortunate to find The Bridge at Garden Plaza after an exhaustive search for an assisted living facility for my elderly mom. During her stay there, she had the best of care and attention we could have hoped for. Staff is very attentive, kind and compassionate and my mom loved them! Food is good and they always had ice cream, a must for mom. Savanna was a great resource as we toured available rooms and considered options. Amber, the director, is wonderful and will easily guide you into the community. Everyone we encountered there was responsive and helpful. Don't hesitate to place your loved one here!

My elderly aunt recently moved from her home at Garden Plaza of Aurora’s assisted living facility into a long-term care facility. She will sorely miss the warm, caring and respectful staff at Garden Plaza as she came to see them as her friends. She loved her one-bedroom unit and the lovely decor in the hallways and in all of the lounges, as well as in the other nooks and crannies where she could roam. The residents were friendly and caring, and easily included new people into their social network. There were fun activities to participate in, as well. A nice place to call home.

I can’t say enough good things about Garden Plaza! I have partnered with them for the past few years and it has been a pleasure . From the Sales team, Executive Director, Wellness Director, Life Enrichment Director and to the Resident Care Coordinator, all the staff there are incredibly caring and take pride in what they do. Every time I’m in there, they are always doing something with and for the residents. The residents are so happy to be there and it shows that they are in good hands!

Edit to Update: The executive director of the facility reached out to me, apologized for the interaction and mentioned she would do some extra education. She also let me know something very important to my visit and was very helpful when it came to the protocols. I had a friend who moved into this retirement home recently, and I've never been to a retirement home on my own before, so I called to see if there was any protocol for visitors - I spoke with Rebecca and had a very strange interaction. When I asked what the protocol was I was told not to show up in the middle of the night (not something I was ever planning on doing) and then if I asked if I would need to be on a list in order to visit someone I was told that "this is not a prison". I was just trying to understand what I would need to do and was assuming there may be some rules in place to protect residents. This was a very off putting interaction, and I felt like I was being scolded.

My mom made her decision to move to Independent living at Garden Plaza this last summer. She lived alone for several years after my dads passing, and she started to feel very isolated. She is a young 86! Her best friend lived in Assisted Living there until her passing and we were all impressed with the care and attention she received. When you walk into the main entrance there is a feeling of warmth. Mom chose a one bedroom apartment and we all agree how cozy it is and how much we feel at home when we visit her! The staff are always very helpful and kind to mom and to us. Their staff is a huge plus at Garden Plaza! Mom can have enjoy all her meals prepared for her. When she attends the monthly staff/ residents meeting, residents may bring up concerns which are addressed and staff try to keep everyone updated on any changes occurring. There are many activities that mom can choose from, and she has been enjoying Bingo and Happy Hour. Her feelings of isolation are gone and we haven’t seen mom this happy for many years. Best decision she’s ever made!!!

The grounds are immaculate, the buildings are resort style and the staff is amazing. They ask for the residents' feedback on activities, the way the facility is operating and even the meals. The first 2 years were great. After covid and a change of personnel my mother supposedly lost her hearing aids which were supposed to be put in and taken out by care givers. Was sitting in a feces chair that was never cleaned nor was I told about for months. Said they had to do laundry every day and was taking 81 tide pods in a 2 weeks period. I know their stressed and short handed but at $4500 a month should get better care.

After touring several local retirement communities, we decided that this was the place for my mother in law to call home! The staff is outstanding! I can not say enough about how caring they are and how they go above and beyond every single day to ensure the residents are happy and taken care of. The facility is beautifully decorated, they have a koi pond to sit by and relax out front, and a gazebo to enjoy in the outside common area. The residents are wonderful and have helped my mother in law settle in and explain the variety of things that are offered at Garden Plaza. It is an awesome place!

We searched dozens of communities, but many didn't compare to the beauty, amenities and the care that Garden Plaza of Aurora provides to their residents. There are many facilities available for seniors, but I wanted a place for my father that provided the comfort of home. Their activities keep him active and he really loves the food. He has made many friends there and that makes me feel good that he's so happy. There is no better value for the money, this is really resort style living and no other community is quite like it. I give this assisted and independently living community an A+ and I would recommend any seniors look at this place, you won't be disappointed.

We are a family from Illinois with an uncle who resided at Garden Plaza for a short period of time. Garden Plaza is an excellent facility for Assisted and Independent Living residents. The staff was very helpful in meeting all our needs. It is beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The dining room's Maitre d" and his employees were accommodating and professional.. The food was tasty, delicious and well-prepared. We visited several assisted and independent living facilities in the Aurora, Colorado vicinity. We would rate Garden Plaza as Excellent (#1) among the various facilities we visited.

In 2010, my Mother moved into the Independent Living Facility at Garden Plaza of Aurora. My Mother, brother and sister have been extremely pleased with the quality of the facility, the professionalism of the staff, excellent entertainment and activity options available and the quality of the food. It has been important to us that my Mother was able to quickly get involved and find wonderful people and activities. In late 2014, my Mother had to move into the Assisted Living Facility at Garden Plaza of Aurora. The staff made this transition smooth and uneventful for my Mother and the family. The quality of the assistance to my Mother has been outstanding. We have no worries about her getting quality care or being safe and we receive feedback as necessary from the staff. The staff cares about the people living there. I find it a pleasure to visit with the staff whenever I am in the facility visiting my Mother. She has been able to continue with the activities and entertainment she got use to and is able to take occasional shopping trips with the other residents. My family and I recommend you take a look at Garden Plaza of Aurora if you are looking for an Independent or Assisted Living Facility for yourself or a family member.

From the first time we walked through the doors at Garden Plaza everyone we met was wonderful. We worked with Michelle Hannah, Mike Nelson and Amanda Schuler who were all professional, upbeat and did everything possible to find the best situation for our mother. They were so patient with us throughout our decision process. On moving day we needed to switch to an apartment closer to the dining room, luckily there was one available! They all accommodated the change seamlessly. The apartments are bright and sunny. All the common areas are very comfortably furnished and tasteful. Everything is well maintained and the outdoor areas look like they will be nice when the weather warms up. Thank you Garden Plaza for providing such a homey community!

Had I not decided to move back to California to be closer to family, I would already have moved into this beautiful community. The apartments are quite nice; the common areas are well-appointed and aesthetically pleasing; the facility has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate those of us with special needs. My mother recently moved to Garden Plaza and our experience has been fabulous - the assistance I received in getting her moved in (she came directly from a rehab facility after a hospitalization) was great, and the residents are very friendly and helpful. The staff's responsiveness to my questions and concerns has been prompt and often beyond my expectations. There are many great activities, and a well-kept facility. Mom loves the food, as well. We're looking forward to many more years of enjoyment at Garden Plaza!

We were looking for a place for my mom to live now that Dad is gone. She is legally blind and has been house bound without friends of her own for years. We looked at a lot of places and found a few that we thought would address mom's needs. What struck me after visiting all these places was that just a couple of them had residents that were truly happy. I found this at Garden Plaza. Several residents stopped to talk to me when I was by myself and told me it was a good place to live and the people living there were helpful to one another. Many of the residents are involved in different aspects of the operation such as the library and gardens. There is a real feeling of community. The facility itself is relatively new and in excellent condition. The staff there have been great. There are all kinds of activities going on there, many of which are community focused. We were able to get mom into a very nice two bedroom apartment that included a full kitchen. It's extremely well laid out and each residence has nice architectural features, which is something I found rare when looking at other places. Compared to other places I looked at there was better value here. Transportation is also available and included. When mom first got there she didn't come out of her room. The staff were very helpful and continue to be. They encouraged mom to participate in different activities and didn't give up on her. Now mom is making new friends, participating in the low vision group, and attending exercise classes on her own because she wants to. This is what my family had hoped for. I strongly suggest giving Garden Plaza a look.

My company, A Move Handled With Care, has had the pleasure of moving seniors into Garden Plaza of Aurora since 2010. The community is beautiful and offers a wide array of amenities and activities. The apartments are very large. This is important because new residents usually have to downsize, but most of them can still bring their favorite things to Garden Plaza. The seniors whom we move to Garden Plaza look forward to their new home, new friends and new lifestyle. We see their smiles on move-in day! Staff members are professional, personable and welcoming.

I had the opportunity to visit the Garden Plaza of Aurora a few months back and I cannot say enough about it. It is absolutely gorgeous! The apartments, dining room, library, social area, etc... Our tour guide was extremely helpful and answered our many questions. It was comforting to see the assisted living facility and know our loved one would be in very good hands if needed. As soon as our elderly father is ready, he will relocate to the Garden Plaza. A+ facility, highly recommended.

I am not an employee, but had the opportunity to visit Garden Plaza in Aurora, CO. I have to say, it is one of the most impressive communities I have seen in my 28 years in senior housing. The design, furnishings and fish level was beyond impressive. It's obvious that the staff here pay attention to detail. The community was warm, inviting and gorgeous; the staff warm, friendly and professional. The community has my highest recommendation if you are looking for yourself or a loved one.
