I have been the Director of Nursing at this facility for over 3 years. I have the privilege of working with an outstanding leadership team who focuses on making our commitment to providing outstanding, personalized care for our residents reality. We have dedicated and caring staff who attend to our resident's needs 24/7. We focus on having our residents live as "independently" as they can with assistance provided for areas of need and safety. I am proud to be part of such an outstanding community.

The first day I walked into Benedictine on Western St. Anoka, MN. I could feel the love. I told my daughter, this is the place for us. She said, Don't be in a rush. She made me wait three days to sign the papers. I love my apartment with the balcony and can see the park too. Everyone is so warm and friendly. We help each other at the table if someone needs it. I don't know what I would do If I were to have to leave here. It is now my home. .

This community is very inviting. There are lots of activities for the residents to enjoy. 5 star meals and a dynamic leadership team! All staff are caring and passionate about the residents and their wellbeing.

My sister and I were looking for a place for our mother after we found she could no longer go home and live, she is 93 and said she never wanted to leave her home for her home was good to her. This was very hard to do, but as soon as we walked into the building, we were so impressed and didn't look any further for we knew in our hearts this was the place for our mom, and we are helicopter children. We expect our mother to be treated with respect and to be cared for just like she did with others and her children all her life. This was the best move we made; I love everyone at Benedictine. My mother now calls Benedictine her home and is very happy with all of the Aides, Nurses and ALL staff. The food is fantastic, the people that already live there are wonderful, and the staff is fantastic. If you are looking for a safe, loving place for your parent to live, this is the place. Our mom now thinks of Benedictine as her home and feels safe.

I'm so impressed with Benedictine! The facility, the activities, the food are all wonderful; however, the staff amazes me. They respond to every need—and quickly—with a listening ear and tender care. I saw how much they truly cared when my aunt passed away. Many of them sought me out as we worked to empty her apartment. They approached with sweet condolences—and tears in their eyes. What a gift to have others love our loved ones like the staff at Benedictine.

I love River Oaks for my mom. She is comfortable, safe and loved there. She has improved because she has the social life of a 20 yr old. Enjoys the activities and the intimate size of this place

This is a great place for Seniors. There is always something to do for them and they give them lots of choices and a restaurant if they choose eat out. The staff there are Fantastic. They are very caring, understanding with needs, willing to help when needed and always greet you with a smile!!!

My father has lived in River Oaks for 5 years after being diagnosed with mild Alzheimers, current age is 94. He adjusted well, and is quite happy with his quality of life, his apartment and maintaining as much of an independent lifestyle, despite his health concerns. From a family perspective, we have been pleased that Dad is in an environment that cares about his overall well-being, not only from keeping him connected socially and with day to day skills, which has served to slow the progression on Alzheimers. After 5 years, he continues to live in a private apartment, attends social activities and dining and navigates the building like a pro. The staff of River Oaks from top - down has been of great support, advise and advocacy in this cycle of his life.
