Our tour of this location of Brookdale was pleasant. We are unsure if the floor plans will work for our family member but the common areas & staff were all delightful. This Brookdale location is also nestled in a great area bordering Kettering & Beavercreek. Very close to the highway but not on the main road.

The community is awesome. Staff and residents are so supportive. It is not perfect, improvements can be made, but it provides a great many excellent services for the price. I have been very happy here. So glad I moved here! Hope you will join us!

Staff is very caring and dedicated, as with most work places they have issues with turnover at the lower positions. They do a great job of making sure the residents are cared for and feel like family. They just hosted a holiday meal for the entire facility and it was an enjoyable evening.

Outstanding staff...Lynn and Cheryl do a great job with the residents. Michelle does a wonderful job monitoring her patients. The cook, Marcus can cook with the best of them! Always go home miserable from eating tooo much. Happy hour on Fridays are very nice with entertainment, as well as holiday parties - which give family members a chance to interact with their love ones. Thank you all for your kindness.

I've had a very good experience with Brookdale Kettering. My mother has been a resident for approx. 3 years and the staff has always been kind and engaging with her.

I recently visited this facility and upon walking in, I immediately felt the warmth and kindness of the staff. It was happy hour with music and residents were having a wonderful time. The decor is a little outdated, but the friendliness is so much more important. My mom was in a brand new facility and it was beautiful. But the staff did not plan things for residents and it was very boring. I don’t understand the one star reviews, but I suspect a few are from disgruntled former employees. I highly recommend this facility.

My father was a resident in the independent living with additional paid assistance. He was able to bring his dog along with totally meant the world to him. The staff and everyone who mapped out a comfortable and successful stay there was beyond helpful and so nice. We are thankful to all of them. Unfortunately, we have moved him to Brookdale of Oakwood because he was in need of specific nursing care and are 100 percent happy there as well

I did a lot of research before committing to Brookdale Kettering. I toured the facility and spent some time talking with some of the staff before making my decision. They have been very accommodating to allow my two emotional support dogs. Even with the pandemic, they have provided a wide variety of activities to keep us all involved in the community here at Brookdale. I especially like the Catholic service on Thursday mornings. The staff I come into contact with on a daily basis are friendly and courteous and outgoing. I really appreciate them, and I enjoy the quality of life here at Brookdale Kettering.

We have been very happy with our Mom's home at Brookdale. She loves her apartment in Independent Living; the staff is very responsive and caring. My Mom feels safe and never worried at all during COVID - they followed every rule and protocol and kept a clean and healthy building. She loves the activities and most of all, she loves the staff. They are the best. Five star!

We are very disappointed with the quality of the "Independent Living" facility after all the promises before moving in. A mrsa patient under serious care is allowed to wander openly while being contagious. When a complaint was lodged about another matter, the resident was approached openly and told to mind her own business. Housekeeping? The apartment has only been "cleaned" twice in the past two months. There is NO water pressure, shampoo is virtually impossible to rinse, along with the residue left behind from the water. The water is so hard that it clogs a coffee maker after about four uses. The quality of the food has deteriorated that the meals are avoided if possible. There have been various other small things that to some would be petty. but meant very much to the resident. If we'd had any idea about the downgoing circumstances at Brookdale Kettering.renting here would not have been an option.

The residents and most of the staff are very lovely and pleasant people, however I will say that the less interactions you have with the "higher ups" (HR) the better. I recently discovered that being I guess "overly helpful or overly friendly" can leave a bad taste in some of, or at least one of their mouths. Professionalism is SUPPOSE to start with them. So for this reason, 2 stars..No one should be treated like trash because of someone else (HR) having a bad day. Unacceptable!
