Village Green was wonderful! I needed to move my mom from out of state and needed a safe landing spot until we got her into a more permanent living situation. They worked with her doctor to make the transition to Seattle seamless. Everyone there was kind, supportive and such a pleasure to work with. My mom’s stay was short, but they treated her so well for the time she was there. The facility was clean, the food was good and the care team was great. I would highly recommend them.

If I can describe Village Green in West Seattle and its employees in one word it would be, FAMILY. Our father hesitated to sell and move out of his home that he built and was in for forty plus years. He was in his late 70’s and was very independent in his day to day function. We convinced him to move into the Village Green’s (then called Day Star) 55yo and over apartments (bldg #1). Once there, he loved the secured building and its proximity (across the street) to the bank, Starbucks, grocery store, Target and 24hr Fitness as he had Silver Sneaker benefits. He was welcomed in by other tenants/residents and employees and it didn’t take long for him to feel at home. He enjoyed Village Green’s social activities such as group work outs, card games and field trips. He particularly enjoyed the trip to the Tulip Festival. As our father aged and progressively needed more and more assistance, we were fortunate enough to be able to move him in different care levels/buildings within the Village Green compound. He often spoke about how he loved the community there and that he felt secure and well cared for by his Village Green WS family. Thank you all for always going over and beyond for Dad. Our family is forever grateful. Special thanks to Amber, Mel, Dustin and Jimmy. Your kindness will never be forgotten. The Ballard Family

I have a relative that has been living here. What I've discovered is that the people determine the success of a retirement home. Boy, does Daystar have the best staff! Eva, the Executive Director, is one of the kindest, most caring people I know. She always tries to help, has a terrific relationship with my rellie, and is always available if I need a word. Melodee on the Front Desk is equally helpful, upbeat and loving. This is a special place!

I have a friend there an she has gone downhill ever since..They don't have someone 24/7 she called her lifeline took 45 min. she needs more than they can give even though they say they have a nursing staff. Now looking for somewhere else to put her. Every time I call to get information the person is always out..they take messages only..an never call back. For the money they charge, Oh getting mail cost to be delivered if you can 't pick up your own.

I toured the facility for a family member, and found it to be one of the best in West Seattle, unfortunately my family member required more assistance than what was offered. The place was clean, and well kept. A major plus were the washers and driers in every unit. The staff were all friendly, and it felt like they wanted to help, not just a job. The building is a little old, but was well maintained for the age. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the young lady who toured me and was a little on the "fake" side, I'm glad the building, staff, and residents spoke for itself, they were what really sold me.
