I've had nothing but great experiences with Chef Edward Gonzalez. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every meal. The service is friendly, the hospitality is amazing, and the place is always clean and welcoming. You really feel appreciated as a customer from the moment you walk in. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for great food and an all-around awesome experience!

My son has volunteered a couple times at this facility and the staff has been so kind. They care about the residents and have really fun and thoughtful activities lined up for them. They also know the residents well and engage with them in a way that feels like it’s more than just a job. The residents were super sweet, too!

My experience at Greenwood Villages included most of the services that are offered. What I discovered was that the staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make the residents comfortable and safe. They were very helpful in arranging financing, for developing menus to meet specific requirements, and working with each resident to meet their individual needs. I would recommend Greenwood Village as a wonderful place to consider when deciding to move to a retirement community.

I volunteered here with my aunt over the years since I was young, very fun and nice experience! I got to do activities and bond with the residents, especially coordinating bingo night! made me very happy to see all the residents enjoy the events GVS has to offer.

This is the greatest place to live! when you move here, you get the greatest care in nursing maintenance, Environmental, and every department is just super kind thoughtful treats you like a real person. In every case, even when they disagree with you strongly, they're kind to you. And it's also I shouldn't say this, maybe don't be offended, but it's a great place to die for when that happens, you get the ultimate care and respect also, so thank you, gvs, for almost 15 years. When I visited GVS I was greeted by the front desk in the pavilion. I found that throughout the building many different departments help make such a comfortable living space. I am very thankful to know that the residents get so much personal time with the activities department! Spending so much time with our loved ones and making each activity personalized for every person no matter the accommodation is not something you find everywhere! Thank you GVS!

If I could I would mention every single dining room server! Their pleasant attitudes and helpfulness make for enjoyable dining experiences. Whenever I make a request, the response is always, “Not a problem.” I will be sure to mention known servers for Extraordinary Impressions. I would like to take this opportunity to shine a light on Gabby, the lone breakfast hour server. Gabby knows everyone’s favorite breakfast and serves with a smile. She even laughs at my jokes! Gabby is a great way to start the day!

I love the all GVS activities. My favorite are Bingo,playing cards,Theme dinners,New Year's Eve party,the GVS bus trips for lunch different places,Happy Hour on fridays and the Flea markets. The residents at GVS and all the Staff members, and all the servers for our meals at GVS are fantastic and very friendly and helpful. My favorite server in the Orchard Dining room is Ki Lolo!! This lady knows what I want and like without telling her. She is always helpful, caring, happy, friendly ,fast taking our orders and receiving them. If any problems with anything she takes care of it immediately!!. Ki Lolo always looks very pretty and her friendship is genuine ’– I hope she wins!! She deserves it!!!!!

The activity staff here is fantastic. I was in rehab there for 10 months and the activity staff was great at including me in outings and fun parties. Mary is the greatest, and I’ve always called her Mary Marvel! The nursing is top rate, especially Kenda and Randy. They helped me through some rough times following my stroke. It has been a little more than a year ago since I left there and think of it fondly. I would have gone back to live there in assisted living, but the waiting list was too long. The therapist there were fantastic. They resurrected my body into a functioning. Individual, I’ll be in a powered chair forever, but they took me from a body that was a sloppy as a newborn baby to one who could sit up straight and use my arm and hand again. Renee and Gina are especially great Therapist!

Greenwood Village South is a wonderful community for seniors to live and, if needed, receive the highest quality care. I have known numerous residents at Greenwood Village in the independent living cottage homes and apartments, in their assisted living apartments, in their long-term care and in memory care. I have also known numerous people who have had rehab their and then returned home once they were well. I have heard from these people and seen for myself the exceptional, compassionate care provided by the staff at Greenwood Village. Their campus is always well kept (despite the current major construction project), and the buildings are clean and well maintained both inside and out. It is a community I would be proud for my parents and other family members to live.

When Mary Ann and I made the decision to move to Greenwood Village South in 2015, it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. We made this move both for ourselves and our sons, who now will never have to worry about “ who’s taking care of mom and dad?” For us, it meant no more worries about maintaining a now empty ( except for us) too large of a house and no more lawn care, driveway shoveling, and dealing with repair contractors and their costs and schedules. We were told by friends and some family we were too young ( both of us in our mid 60’s) to give up “ our freedom “! Not only did we not give up our freedom, we gained freedom from the worries I listed above and the freedom to enjoy and utilize all of the multiple opportunities available for cultural growth and learning, recreation and socialization, all within our Community. Indeed , Mary Ann has likened it to living in a resort with all of the activity offerings, along with the casual and fine dining.choices. Importantly, we made this decision electively and proactively, before a life changing crisis altered our “ hoped for” plan, and before we were told by family or professionals that we needed “help”. Such sudden or emergent life changes unfortunately are too often met with limited and less optimal residency choices. Why did we choose Greenwood Village South? In part because of its stable and excellent reputation over many generations. Multiple family members have and do reside here, including my mother in the 1980’s and90’s, my brother John and his wife Martha are here as well, and her mother lived here several years ago. In addition, it was important for us to move to a community with all levels of residential care; Independent, Assisted Living, Memory and Nursing Home care , meaning we would never have to leave our familiar surroundings. Lastly, as a health care professional at St. Francis Hospital, I witnessed first hand how well cared for were the patients we received from Greenwood Village South. Over our eleven years of residency here, I have been amazed at the remarkable number of years that the Pavilion Nursing Staff has achieved a “ No Deficiencies “ rating from the Indiana Board of Health and CMS ( Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services)) , which is a very difficult rating to achieve. We are secure knowing that if we need a different level of care, we will be attended by a very caring professional staff, so many of whom know us by name and have been employed here longer than we have lived at Greenwood Village South. We couldn’t be happier living now for 11 years in our Cottage ( single story home) where I can garden without yard maintenance cares and Mary Ann can enjoy not worrying about home upkeep and repairs. All of that “ worry energy “ can now be expended engaging in the numerous fun, active and educational opportunities that are a part of every day living at Greenwood Village South. My mom was in Greenwood Village in the memory care unit a few years ago and now my mother-in-law is in the skilled nursing facility. We love GVS and the attention they give to the residents there. They go above and beyond to care for each resident. They provide a lot of activities and outings for the residents as well. The facility is very clean. All of the staff are extremely helpful and attentive. GVS takes good care of their employees and there is a low staff turn over rate. We highly recommend GVS. It is a huge blessing to not to have to worry that your loved one is not getting great care or suffering in any way.

Greenwood Village South does a great service by providing a monthly luncheon for Veterans who have flown on Indy Honor Flight. Their staff is so caring and friendly. The facility is very nice. I would highly recommend a visit if your loved one is needing a place like this.

Mom spent 20 days on the rehab unit. She immediately felt comfortable and said that she felt the staff really wanted to take care of her. PT and OT really worked with her to get her ready to return home. The unit was well staffed, answered call lights quickly and the room and facility were kept very clean. We got the feeling that everyone working really wanted to be there!

Greenwood Village South is a wonderful community. I was reminded of this during a recent visit there, due to the compassionate care I witnessed and the exceptional hospitality that I experienced. The nurses and caregivers are kind and caring to the residents, and a substantial number of the staff have been working at GVS for many years. The community has excellent clinical and administrative leadership, and this is evident in the Quality Measure outcomes, Medicare 5 Star Rating of the community, and the ongoing history of recurrent superior State Survey Health Inspection outcomes.
