I normally don’t write reviews, but I feel like people really need to be aware of what’s going on here. When I first got involved with this facility, I was under the impression that it was true assisted living. That is NOT the case. There are residents there who require total care, which is completely different from what many families may be expecting when they choose an assisted living environment. One of the biggest issues is the lack of communication. There is very poor communication between staff and management, and it directly affects the residents. On top of that, the building is run heavily by agency workers—there are often more agency staff than actual employees. Unfortunately, some of these agency workers have been reported by residents for mistreatment, which is extremely concerning. The working conditions are also questionable. Staff are allowed to work 24-hour shifts, which raises serious concerns about safety, alertness, and overall quality of care. I didn’t even realize that was allowed until I experienced it myself. Residents have voiced many complaints. Medications are sometimes given late or not at all due to poor restocking and disorganization. The food is another major issue—many residents say it’s inedible, and some have gone hungry because of it. Even in the dining room, residents have said they feel rushed and aren’t given enough time to finish their meals, including dessert. I originally considered placing my grandmother here, but after working there for a few months and seeing everything firsthand, I would never feel comfortable doing that. Families deserve to know the truth before trusting a place like this with their loved ones.

Azalea Estates has been a blessing for my 92 year old mother. The facility is beautiful, clean, and my mother loves the food there. The staff and her nurses have been very kind and supportive of my mother during her two monty respite stay. Whenever there was a very small concern I only had to call Mirna and it was taken care of. When my family visits my mom she is happy and in a good mood. She loves the activities, entertainment, and the church service.

Azalea Estates took care of my mother up until the time of her death. They were extremely responsive to her and myself in all aspects. I went everyday to see mom, and got to know the staff and see first hand how they functioned in the facility. Everyone greets you with a genuine smile and the people there really do CARE about the well being of your loved one. The facility is clean, no oders, and the people living there are happy. My mom loved it there! Thank you Azalea Estates for your caring concern for my mother.

Mom lived there approximately five years and during that time she was shown love and was provided with great care. Choosing Azalea Estates for my mother after a stay at another assisted living was hands down the best decision we made. Things are not perfect and my mom is not easy to please and sometimes we as her children are not easy to please, but everyone at Azalea has been so patient, kind, and caring. They teach me to take a breath and step back, so that they can do what they do best which is taking care of my mom. My family and I are so grateful for everyone at Azalea Estates!

Azalea Estates has been my "2nd home" for 5 years and I couldn't think of a better place to be. We have serviced our residents whom we consider family for over 18 years. The longevity of the staff says a lot. The community is so clean and smells wonderful! I highly recommend checking us out and seeing for yourself.
