I have now been in here. For three full days and it's going to be my fourth night and I'm getting out of here. There's Harold during the day about not answering the call but thank goodness my wife was spending all day here and she would run down and grab somebody and get some attention. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her to help to take care of me during the day here. But the nights are horrible. Try to call a nurse because you've been sitting in a diaper for 9 hours for an hour and a half or longer. I'm supposed to be receiving pain meds every 6 hours then sometimes or as much as an hour late. Regular medicines that aren't pain meds don't know when you'll get them anytime in a 2 to 3 hour window. Do not come here not if you have any conditions that requires any medical help. If you can't get up and do it yourself it will not get done. UPDATE we decided since it's such a good location after talking to the management the difference my chair has gone from night to day. The the staff is courteous I'm getting my meds on time the beds are getting changed on a regular basis and I'm now very comfortable here. On the rare occasion I have to call for a nurse someone responds in a reasonable amount of time. The insurance is paying for another 15 days what my doctor just across the street.

Has a good Recreation area with many things going on. The rehab is a little above average and very encouraging they will push you to improve! CNA'S vary on doing their jobs some are outstanding others need fired!

My mother has had a terrible time getting someone to answer her call light so she can go to bathroom so keeps me busy washing clothes. She fell in bathroom yesterday trying to go by herself and claims she did help herself to bathroom tonight. When I tried calling there to voice my complaint, they would answer the phone but put me on hold and I would have to call back. This happened 7 times before I decided to write this review. Let’s all pray that she doesn’t fall because clearly the staff working does not want to do their job

Recently I had to find a place for my husband to rehab after 2 heart attacks and a internal infection. Two of my daughters and I did surprise visits to several facilities in one day. There was no comparison once we visited the Healthcare Resort of Kansas City. The facility is beautiful, light and airy and very clean. Several resident were out enjoying the court yard while many were in the commons area getting their nails done. I took the liberty to talk with 5 of the residents while waiting for a tour. All of them said they love it here. Well my husband stayed 9 days and the care he received was excellant. The meals were as good if not better than he would have received at home. I never had to worry about him during his stay which allowed me to be at peace at home. Also the PT he received got him back on his feet and strong enough to return home faster than expected. I highly recomend this facility and the caring staff they employ.

I was disappounted. No blinds against window and toilet was not working. It took til the next day when i made mention tp finding me another room was when those items were fixed. How they do their menu is somewhat different...if you order something and they run out....there is no notification and nothing to replace. I dont think i would recommend this place at all.. im waiting to explore all the amenities they have listed on the brochure or is it all lies. Ms. DISAPPOINTED

I arrived 2 days, unexpectedly, after the readmittance of my sister to Healthcare Resort, from hospital, to find my sister laying in disarray, flat in bed, with hospital gown half off. I have photos. The next morning she was dressed, sitting in her wheelchair. Possibly my presence was influential. I want to commend speech therapist Stephanie, occupation therapist,Tiffany, and especially nurse Brittany for their excellent care. I would like to thank nurse Teresa on being so attentive, proactive and communicating with me by phone. Marsha in the dining room was very accimmodating.

My mom was there for 3 1/2 weeks, some of the staff was absolutely amazing! Amira the social worker needs to work for someone who can pay her at least 40 an hour that’s how AMAZING she was, the communication was on point and she always was involved with her care. Mrs. Mary the dietary lady was very sweet, helpful and amazing! Vicki the nurse went above and beyond for moms care physically and mentally and Brooke was always there when mom needed to vent about the issues she was having. Now the food was not good at all, but that’s when Mary kicked into high gear and made sure she and other residents had what they needed even if it was out of her pocket, huge blessing she was! PT & OT workers was beyond a blessing in helping her as well become more independent when she got home. The nursing staff in the evening and the housekeeping could use some training on how to treat and maintain healthy living conditions, my mom had to go find nursing staff in the late evenings because her neighbor fell and there was no one in sight and thank God my mom didn’t fall herself getting help for him. Thank you to those who was a huge blessing to my mom and for the ones that went above and beyond!!

Worse place To put a loved one because she didn't have her teeth they refused to feed her I had to go ask for something to eat or not give her medication or help her drink. They don't have a clue what they're doing don't ever send a loved one there

I've never used their services, but today one of their van drivers was tailing my car while I was already going 5mph over the speed limit. Then, he almost side-swiped my car when he was trying to swerve around the slow truck in front of him and didn't see me before he started moving over. Not a good look in a company car. Drive like an a** on your own time-- you're representing the company.

Location, location, location. It's across the street from providence hospital, and offers rehab, assisted living, and long-term care. The building looks new inside and out, and the rooms have more space than many other places in the area. It's nice to have individual thermostat to adjust the temperature for the room.

I have my grandmother there and as soon as I get time I'm moving her. Good for short stays but not good as permanent place. People are pretty much nice. But my grandmother had feeding tube that she stopped using cause she started eating again. They "forgot" it was there till there was green stuff in it. Then wanted to argue about taking her to hospital. She's been left on toilet till her legs was numb. I had to take her off. Came in and she was left sitting in her wheelchair till she wet herself. Has had clothes including a Royals shirt I bought her stolen and a wolf blanket I had gotten her stolen from her. I do not trust anything in her room. She is permanent resident should have her own room. But got her in small room she shares. Most pictures on here do not represent a standard room. If its just short term or rehab its not bad. Long term......different story. Oh...supposed to be able to visit 24/7. Hard to do since they do not give families a card or code like most other places. They have a "doorbell" you have to ring to get in. Person at front desk at 8pm. So you gotta wait till someone decides to let you in. And you gotta search for someone to let you out. I got stuck inside for 30 mins till I could find someone to let me out. This was when I didn't leave till 9pm. Would think you'd find a nurse in less than 30 mins

I'm going to have to break this down into four parts. Daytime: Everyone is nice. The response time is 5-10 minutes after hitting the call button. Physical therapy is rough but they are all nice as well. Nighttime: Mostly everyone is nice. Night shift only has 2 people for 17 residents. The response time is 20-30 minutes. Not ideal. With a few not to nice nurses. Food: I like how there are many choices for food. The food is surprisingly good. I also like how you can bring outside food in if you don't want the food provided. Overall: The nurses remember major things like medicine, and medical care. The small things such as brushing teeth, self care, getting water at night are often forgotten. You have to keep asking. Also being pet friendly really helps people. I wouldn't mind sending someone here again because the place is nice and colorful and doesn't feel like a rehab place. It feels more like a hotel. Location wise is was close to me. At the same time if there was somewhere better to send someone I would probably send them to that place.

My great grandma is 98 years old and she just recently have surgery on her hip and was placed the for therapy and she'll push the nurse thing for help doing to the bath room and they dont come for 45mins, one time i went add yelled at them and they looked at me like i was speaking Spanish and they dont even cook the food there they get it delivered and its hard and taste like nothing a lady was crying because she was so hungry

This was a great place for me in all aspects. They make you feel very comfortable and they are interested in getting you back on your feet to live a life at home. Their food was home style and was fantastic. As part of your healing they have activities such as games, art, and a theater for watching movies or television on a large screen TV. The staff always made sure you got what you needed. I thank you all.
