This community becomes your family. The activities are wonderful. I love the culture and ambiance of the community. My favorite day is Friday for Happy Hour. I love to hear Theodosha say "It's Friday Let's Get Happy". What a fun place to be.

My wife was residing there for respite care, and the staff there was wonderful!! Now while there some things she had some issues with, her care and treatment was above and beyond great!! I personally want to thank Alisa, Celeste, Kiwi, Taylor, Katie, Sharon and all the nurses and aides and everyone else there for all your help in my wife's rehabilitation and recovery. I cannot thank you enough for helping my wife back on her road to recovery.

The culinary staff at Waltonwood is amazing. The food is excellent and the entire staff really cares about the residents and their needs. There are several special parties during the year including mother's day, fathers day, Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving. The menu is fantastic, really good food. Weather permitting there is outdoor dining on the back patio and Evan and staff BBQ on the big grill. It is really nice and fun. They all work very hard and it is a lot of work. The staff at the Royal Oak facility is horrible attitudes are very poor very rude!!! The staff on the 3rd floor Day and night shift is terrible. Need better staff. Just rude for no reason. You can’t ask questions without them talking to you crazy it’s very sad.

Latrice, at their customer service desk, is the absolute most wonderful human being I’ve ever experienced. My grandmother is a patient there, and we had some concerns so I gave a call to them, she answered and made me feel so reassured, understood, and respected. I truly hope that every single one of your employees follows after her suit. Latrice is not even a nurse, but she still made me feel so reassured about my grandmothers care. Having your grandmother in a nursing home is already hard enough, to have someone like this be able to talk to you, like a human being, with kindness and compassion, truly makes everything different. She is the best person I have ever experience with a customer service job.. I feel so much better having my grandmother there, because of her kindness and humanity. I truly hope they give her a raise!

Rooms are nice enough. However I’m surprised to see so many positive reviews of this place. I had to place my immobile father here for about a week a few years ago. Pretty awful experience for him, as they dropped him on the floor when transferring between bed and wheelchair and were not transparent about the event. They even botched his meds. So we’re talking very basic-level red flags, here- ensuring patient isn’t dropped, and correctly distributing meds.

This is a good choice for your senior loved one. The staff is very friendly and professional. The facility is kept clean - and it smells clean. Communication between staff and family is superb. Residents are treated with respect and given attention. Pricing is reasonable compared to other facilities. It is a quiet and non-chaotic environment. I waited to post this review to see if my first impression remained my overall impression - this place is the real deal - you won't be disappointed.

My father moved into Waltonwood in March of 2021. The staff has been nothing but exceptional. The med techs and nurses are kind and caring. The director, Fatou, answers questions and concerns promptly. The concierges, Dan and Marilyn, are wonderfully warm and welcoming. The building is clean and well-maintained. I can’t imagine having my father at another facility!

My mom moved into Waltonwood 9 months ago after breaking a hip during COVID lockdown. A stressful time to say the least. The Waltonwood staff was so kind and efficient in getting her moved in, going out of their way to make the transition as easy as possible. It is a warm and inviting environment and community. Daily exercise classes & activities are available, transportation, and fun special events. Arranging for Physical Therapy and on-site medical care is a breeze. The entire staff is FANTASTIC and the food is great. HIGHLY recommended.

My dad loves living at Waltonwood Royal Oak. He was always an introvert, but since he arrived at Waltonwood RO, he has become a social butterfly and thoroughly enjoys all of the activities from exercise classes to Blackjack. The staff at Waltonwood RO genuinely knows and cares about him. Everyone-- the receptionists, techs, nurses and even the Executive Director have gone out of their way for both him and me on countless occasions. I deeply appreciate their efforts especially as I live out of the state and am trying to manage his care/health from a distance. They have even stepped up their game since the advent of COVID-19, working extra hard to find ways to provide the same level of care, quality, and comfort, while balancing all of the necessary restrictions to prevent infection. I cannot say enough about our experiences at Waltonwood RO and rely on them to be there for my dad when I can’t.

Staff is Incredibly caring and professional - definitely looking out for the best interest of each person who will be moving into Waltonwood of Royal Oak. I want them to hold a room for me! I would recommend this for anyone who needs to find a new residence for a loved one. Not only is the staff some of the best I have ever seen, the building is beautiful and has many amenities for residents that make it feel like home.

We held a wonderful 80th birthday party for my step-mother at Waltonwood. We invited 40 family, friends, and neighbors to share the event. Waltonwood provided the space and the catering for the party. It was really lovely and the food was delicious. My parents have only been at Waltonwood for 6 months but they have been such a source of support and companionship to all of our family as we experience the untraveled paths and uncertainties of aging. It has really provided my parents with a source of stability, care, and monitoring that I am sure has strengthened their health and lengthened our time together.

This was my last stop shopping for a place for Mom. I almost cancelled because i was getting tired of all the tours, but I'm sure glad we did. It was a clear winner right away. Everything seemed a cut above the rest from the apartments themselves to the staff, the care, the outings, events, activities, and the food. Both the building and the care programs were built from the ground up to take care of, and spoil my mom. The location was perfect and the pricing was less than I thought it would be. She's been there almost 6 months and loves it. She has many new friends, and she now happily calls Waltonwood home. I think you're family will have a similar experience, but I'd definitely recommend going to Waltonwood first.

As the CEO of an emergency services provider (STAT EMS), I had a great experience with Waltonwood Royal Oak. The staff of Waltonwood reached out to my company with an offer to donate a power wheelchair that a resident was no longer in need of. I was impressed with the unsolicited gesture and the wheelchair is now being used by a family in need. Additionally, my staff had great things to say about the organization and friendliness of the Waltonwood staff while facilitating the pick up of the wheelchair. Thank you to Waltonwood for being community minded enough to reach out with the offer and a special thanks to resident George Hartley for the generous donation!

First class organization! The staff is warm and welcoming and they take great care to create an atmosphere where you or your loved one can truly feel at home. They also take pride in providing a seamless transition into a new environment which, of course, often seems intimidating and stress inducing. I would recommend Waltonwood Royal Oak to anybody looking for a great environment for a loved one in the Royal Oak area.

I have been to so many hospitals over 18 years due to my paralyzation and I have went to Beaumont Hospital twice and every time I went there I was very satisfied bedside manners is number one and they passed every test I will never go to another hospital at all and I was on 5 North everybody on the floor was wonderful
