Moving a parent away from their independence is a very difficult transition. After researching assisted living facilities, we felt that Ivy Park SJC was a perfect fit. Mom loves her independence, her studio and the garden promenade. We have become a part of the Ivy Park family and so appreciate the genuine care that they have provided to Mom. We count our Blessings, everyday.

We moved Mom into Ivy Park in San Juan Capistrano last year and Mom loves it. David Alvarado , Melanie Aaron and the whole team make Mom feel at home. Before moving in, Mom did not feel she would fit in or utilize the activities offered. It only took a couple months and now Mom has many friends and does weekly activities like exercise, arts and crafts, games and live music. I brought my dad to meet with Melanie Aaron, Sales Director at SJC Ivy when he decided it was time to move from his 55+ apartment. Melanie did a great job of putting to ease any concerns, as did David Alvarado, the Ex Director. We found the right unit for my dad and had him moved in a few weeks later. Having the attentive staff available to ensure your elderly parent is being cared for, getting nutritious meals, has social activities and things to keep them active is perfect for this stage. The rent is reasonable and my dad is very happy at SJC Ivy.

The Ivy Park in San Juan Capistrano is a very special place. My Mom has been there for 2.5 years and I always knew she was being taken good care of. EXCELLENT FACILITY - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED My brother in law moved into Ivy Park SJC five months ago and has absolutely LOVED his new home!!! The staff is highly competent, personable and exceptional in their care of residents, and without exception everyone who I have spoken with about their satisfaction in living there have been VERY VERY happy. We so appreciate having found Ivy Park SJC and sincerely thank the management and staff for all they do in creating such a caring community.

In November 2024, my mother moved into Ivy Park SJC. The location is wonderful and so is the staff. Plenty of activities to choose from, or not, and she really enjoys the food, which is available all day, anytime.

Absolutely beautiful community! Residents seem really happy and are excited to see new faces joining their community. Staff organizes a bunch of fun activities on and off grounds to keep the residents engaged. The property is homey and well-maintained. And THE FOOD!!!

My experience moving my mom into Ivy Park of San Juan Capistrano has been nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and supported, but I want to give a special shoutout to William, the maintenance director. William went above and beyond to help us settle in. He was incredibly nice and attentive, taking the time to mount the TV and assemble furniture for us, making the transition so much easier. His kindness and expertise truly made a difference during what can be a stressful time. The community itself is warm and inviting, with a great atmosphere that feels like home. I’m so relieved that my mom is in such a caring environment. Thank you, Ivy Park, and especially William, for making this move a positive experience! Highly recommend!

Our family found this wonderful community, nestled in a beautiful nook of San Juan Capistrano. Our first impression has lasted throughout our brother's stay - a fresh, vibrant, friendly, compassionate place filled with interesting and friendly residents, attentive staff, delicious meals, well appointed rooms, and a welcoming environment that was so important for our first placement of our brother into assisted living. Our brother has suffered multiple conditions which the staff addressed with loving support - for our brother, and the family. We are ever grateful for having these experiences, and recommend this community for your loved one as well.

My aging father and disabled brother are both residents at this wonderful place. There is a strong sense of community and family in dealing with the care of them. Communication between staff and family is great. Facility is spotless with events, crafts, games plus onsite physical therapy and Doctor visits. Highly recommend.

My father has bee living here at Ivy Park in San Juan Capistrano for approximately one year, He is very happy with the accommodations and the operations of the assisted living facility. The food prepared by the chef here at Ivy Park not only offers a wide variety of cusine but is extremely delicious too.

When this was Del Obispo Terrace, it was wonderful and my mom loved it. Ever since it sold to Ivy Park, one by one all the great people that worked here are being let go. I won’t mention names, but it’s so unfair and my mom is very sad. On a positive note, the care is still good and so is the food. My mom is hoping for continued activities like bingo, black Jack and others.

My mother has been a resident at Del Obispo Terrace for a year and a half. She is very happy living there, primarily because she is treated with dignity and respect. Throughout this challenging time of Covid-19, the staff has gone out of their way to provide my mother, and all the residents, with safe and compassionate care. Dian, the med tech, is a great communicator who is consistently on top of her game. Teri, the nurse, has provided my mother the exceptional healthcare that she has required. David demonstrates both competence and confidence while keeping the community safe throughout the night. All of the staff, from Anthony to Katarina are kind, helpful, and devoted to creating an environment in which elderly residents are comfortable and thrive. If I'm going to be completely honest, the food leaves a lot to be desired. I have tried to speak up about the poor meal choices but there has been no improvement.

My mother has been a resident at Del Obispo Terrace for about 2 1/2 years. She loves it there and the rest of the family has peace of mind that she is safe and well cared for, especially during the Covid19 crisis. The director Sabrina is excellent at communicating updates and information, with clarity and transparency always a priority. Peggy, Teri, Shelley and Dionne are all great to work with, as are Wendy and Pat, the receptionists, who always have a smile and warm greeting. My mother's caregivers - especially Anthony and Marie Elena -couldn't be more attentive. In short, D.O.T. treats their residents like they are family - with love and respect.

I have had many patients in this community over the years and am so impressed with the staff and caregiving here. I know my patients and their families are always attended to first priority. This was extremely clear during the pandemic. Teri and Shelly put the patients needs (mental and physical) first! I would for sure taking a tour of this facility if you are shopping assisted livings!

My two experiences with Del Obispo Terrace have been outstanding! Sabrina, Shelly, Teri the nurse and Dionne are amazing and caring individuals. My mother resided there the last two years of her life. Leaving her own home of 25 years was no easy task but at Del Obispo Terrace she found new friends, many activities and comfort; and I found peace of mind. Now two years later, it has been necessary to move my sister into Del Obispo Terrace. She has been made to feel welcome and loves her cozy new room. Again, I am grateful to this amazing team and the peace of mind I feel once again!
