We scheduled a tour with Cory. He was punctual and very warm upon meeting. We felt very comfortable to ask him any questions as they arose. Cory was extremely accommodating for us and when we left, we felt like we had a good understanding of the facility and what it would provide for my dad.

I am posting a review for the welcome tours I took of Ocala Senior living. At the current time my mom is on the waiting list for a room. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My mom was in denial of needing care at a facility and me being her daughter and caregiver I was indecisive of placing her in memory care. For the last few months I have assisted my older sister with my mom's care at my sister's home. Unfortunately, being a caregiver is a huge responsibility and can take a toll on your health and freedom. As a family decision between my siblings, we felt it was time to research a memory care facility. It's a very hard and emotional decision that one must face and ultimately accept. I went online and came across Ocala Senior living. I scrolled through the photos and it pleasantly caught my attention. The photos painted a scene of cleanliness and a modern feel. I decided to set up a tour. It was challenging to get my mom to attend but she reluctantly came with me. I knew this tour would be a make or break for my mom, her first impression hung in in the air so fingers crossed we entered. We were warmly greeted, I came prepared with a few pages of questions. Our point of contact was one of the directors. His name was Cory. Right away, we were drawn to Cory's personality. He spoke to us at a level we could easily understand, always super friendly and genuinely concerned in my mom's well being and care. He took us in his office asked us if we needed a water and gladly answered each of my questions. I did not feel rushed or ignored and he thanked me for asking such great questions. Afterward we started the tour. Mom and I were excited to see a beauty salon for care, a wall of photos for military vets that you could bring a photo and the place was large and open. Dining tables had fresh cut flowers and everyone seemed genuinely happy there. We toured the model room for which my mom could see how her room would look minus the furniture which you bring to make her room her own. Just as the photos online it was clean, large and modern. It smelled fresh and resembled an apartment. It has a large window and a fridge/freezer that is included. Bathroom had a shower with a flat floor and no ledge to keep residents from tripping and safety handles in the shower for gripping. Two huge closets and laundry and cleaning service. TV channels for viewing pleasure. We met the executive director Aaron. He was funny and charming and made us feel welcomed. Aaron offered us both lunch from the cafeteria which was delicious as we discussed options. Cory although was in charge of the tour and I can't say enough of his hospitality. My mom was drawn to him to like a moth to a light. It was easy to see that he loved helping and he was honest and always upbeat. My mom was all smiles and Cory even let my mom hang onto his arm as we did the tour. It made her feel loved and at ease. I brought my sister back for a second tour. Again, my sister agreed on how thorough and charming Cory was and he pointed out all the amenities. We met other residents who openly talked to us and made us feel welcomed. The staff welcomed us with smiles and greetings. I no longer felt indecisive, and my mother seemed satisfied and relaxed with the quality of care she would be getting. We ate dinner there and let me tell you the baked fish was restaurant quality! So if your in my position and the time has come to make an informative decision for a facility Ocala Senior Living offers both assisted and memory care. Clean, friendly and caring that's the impression we left with and I will give another review after my mom moves in. Thank you Cory and staff for making my mom feel like a family member and not just a number. We look forward to her new adventure and trust in your care!

My cousin and I visited Ocala Senior Living recently. We received a warm welcome from the director who graciously gave us a tour of the facility. We had checked out some other Assisted Living Homes prior and found Ocala Senior Living to be inviting with a friendly atmosphere. The premises were clean and attractive if a bit dated. We were impressed with the varied menu and with the interesting activity program. We could easily recommend Ocala Senior Living and will keep it in mind for ourselves.

We took a tour of the facility and were impressed the how beautiful it was. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile and warm welcome. The dining room was elegantly decorated and while I personally didn't try the food, my spouse did and was pleasantly surprised. The hair salon was also a nice touch. Kathy Lolly showed us how much love and care goes into each resident as she knew each one of them by name and made them feel like they were the reason to smile. I really have to commend her for her attention to detail, her kindness and ability to just get things done. She clearly made sure that everyone was treated well. Definitely my top choice.

I was pleasantly surprised with how welcoming the surroundings are when you walk in. Lolly gave us a tour of the facility in addition to getting a sample of lunch that afternoon. I was again pleased and surprised with the quality of the food. I have toured several places in Ocala, many of them I left running. Lolly left me with a feeling that my father-in-law, that I wish I had as my own Dad would be treated as family. Her attention to detail makes this the perfect place for the care of a loved you that needs that special touch.

Pacifica Ocala, what a great facility!! They were able to accommodate my mother-in-law, who was under hospice care, and my sister-in-law into a two bedroom apartment. It was wonderful to be able to keep them together for my Mother’s final days. Lolly, Debbie, and Mark were outstanding in making this a smooth transition. From the administrative staff, nurses and all of the support staff, they truly show that they care about our senior citizens! Pacifica in Ocala, FL continued to withdraw money from my mother's bank two months after she moved out and keeps promising a refund, but none in sight. They now owe back over $7,400. Seems pretty criminal to me.

I have visited my loved one many times. This is the best I have seen this community. The new management team is incredibly. Coral is such a caring person, you can tell how much she loves and cares for all the residents. Mikaela is a doll, she is so passionate about what she does. The residents have never done this many activities in the past. She has brought light back to the community. And I understand a new chef has started. You can really tell the change in just the short period he has been there. The quality of the food is 100 times better. It shows that he takes a lot of pride in what he does. I am so glad they are here and making great changes here. Everyone is blessed to have them. I can’t forget Stacy either, she just brings smiles to everyone’s faces, she’s always having a good day even when she is very busy, she takes the time to greet me and talk to me as well. What a sweet lady. I recommend pacifica ocala to everyone.

Ok, my wife and I have been all over central and south Florida visiting assisted living communities. The pacifica communities definitely have been head and shoulders above the rest of the places we have been. We met this lady I think her name was Donna. She was so friendly and she started walking us around and introducing us to a few of the people that lived there. She also introduced us to one of the funniest people that I have met in a long time. She is the activity director I think. She was all about her residents for sure and they definitely loved her. I kinda think that my wife likes her more than she does me.

My mother in-law is a resident. I am grateful that she is close by and we can be there for her as she needs us. She is still very independent. I like that they have scheduled activities that the residents can join in as they wish. They have recently started doing more activities away from the facility which is a nice change for the residents. Unfortunately they have had a lot of staff turn over recently that makes it hard for my mother in-law who doesn’t like a lot of change. I hope the new executive director, who seems very nice will turn that around.

My Mom is a current resident here and we are all so happy with this facility. She has the freedom to have home visits, have her grand kids come see her, her weenie dog lives in her room with her, the meals are awesome and the care is outstanding. Julie and Tammy really go the extra mile to keep things running smoothly and making sure EVERYONE is happy. When you walk into the facility it smells nice and clean, not like a typical facility, it smells so good I asked one of the maids for the list of products so I can use them at home. The first thing I noticed when touring the facility is how happy all the residents are, not one sad face in the building. They play cards, have happy hour, pajama parties and go on little day trips. Just like being on a cruise ship except its the most reasonably priced facility in town. This place gets 5 stars.

Pacifica is a small Assisted Living Community with high personal touch and care. Activities abound and the staff makes an all out effort for the residents. Talk to Tammy Edgar whose knowledge and experience will provide excellent guidance.

Good size rooms. Staff changes happen too much. Key positions like nurse are vacant. Often food items are not available- wheat toast prune juice etc. limited selection if cold items for breakfast. Portions too small and often run out of entree or standard items. I’ve heard many residents complain about food being served. Need better menu items and or choices.

I live here at Pacifica Senior Living in Ocala. Mary, one of the housekeepers here did a fantastic job cleaning my windows she cleaned them better than anyone else with just Windex and elbow grease. My father Bert spent many enjoyable visits to Pacifica as a respite guest. The staff is attentive and completely engaged with their residents. The food is excellent according to my Dad, and the activities are tailored to create a wonderful senior experience. The facility is always spotless, and has been recently renovated. I am very discerning as to where I would let my Dad stay, so if I give it 5 stars you know Pacifica Senior Living sets the standard for quality care.

My next door neighbor Angelo Altieri who lives next door to me has been in Pacifica about month and is happy and says the staff and food has been excellent. We live in Oak Run almost next door to Paciica. I would like to volunteer my time at Pacifica to keep me busy as I am alone now as I have lost my wife due to illness February 26, 2016 which has been difficult. We were going to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary on May 5th 2016..I try to visit Angelo at least twice a week to have lunch with him and have fellowship with him. He looks for me and wishing I could come more often.

My aunt lives here, and she hasn't been this happy in years. She loves the food. She is seriously ill, but she's gained 5 pounds since she's there. The staff and the residents are very friendly. Scrupulously clean and well run.
