Just wanted to send out a good review for the Cottages of Swansboro. I live in WI but my elderly relative lived in Carteret County. We were looking for a place for her close to her friends. My aunt now has medical needs that now require her to live in an Assisted Living facility. When I first considered the The Cottages I was concerned about the 6 independent facilities and how it would work. I am happy to say that my aunt is very pleased with the care she receives in her cottage. We talk to her every week and sometimes even get to chat with the attending staff. It gives us confidence that they both interact regularly. She has developed a special rapport with many of the staff members. I have called the facility with question regarding my aunts health, medicines, finances, and even mental concerns. I have always had calls answered or returned by the appropriate person. Usually the CNA or head nurse calls back but also Med Techs and PA's have answered my questions. They have even called proactively with updates. I have been there a number of times, family and friends visit regularly. The facility has always been clean. The residents quarters are spacious and well appointed. They even customize the rooms to the resident's special needs. The food is nutritious and well prepared. The residents can either eat in the dining room or privately in their own rooms. The medicines are administered as prescribed. I feel confident The Cottages of Swansboro is taking good care of my aunt!!

Great place to work and for your loved ones to be …, the care here for your loved one is personal and loving … whereas in a nursing home there are one aid to 13 residents…. Here they will feel at home as it is a wonderful home setting with home cooked meals and daily activities ….hairdresser on site, the ladies love to get there hair styled by a license hairstylist …..the care here is like that of being in your own home ❤️

The concept of home living is very evident at the COTTAGES...The staff members are kind and caring even when sometimes their load is heavy....This concept is the closest thing to HOME you can find for your loved one......the management is easy to work with and always mindful of the safety of the residents.....I am grateful for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic in keeping the residents in and safe and away from exposure.....it is a hard time for us all not being able to see our loved ones but, I appreciate the caution that has been taken to protect everyone ; workers and residents.

I am a nurse that has spent 18 yrs in Long Term Care and have seen many things during my career. Many times staff only hears negatives but I want to compliment the staff! I was there today and looked in on a resident at the end of life. The staff had made sure she was comfortable and snuggled in her bed and even had a cool cloth on her head for a fever along with meds ordered. She looked so loved by the staff. Thank you for the love and care I saw today!

I have over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a security chief, safety officer and environment of care inspector ... I find The Cottages of Swansboro to be an outstanding facility and the one I trust to care for my mother... The staff has been incredible in the care for my mother making sure all her needs are met with compassion and dignity... I must commend Norma who supervises the staff and handles the daily operations in an exceptional manner ... The owners Andrew and Anna ensure that the quality of care is above standard in all aspects of elder care

It’s hard to find a place for a parent to be taken care of the way you wish yourself could. Searched and reviewed many locations but surly found a diamond. Moved our mom to this facility in August and could not be happier. The facilitators and staff are all top notch. The whole facility is all about family. 24, 7 care, meals prepared daily and personal dialog with each and every resident. Highly recommend this place to my friends that have family members that are in need of top notch care. You have to take a tour of this place. The proof is in the pudding. Our mom loves this place. And that says everything. Well done Cottages of Swansboro.

This company is very on organized. Dont really care about their staff members or residents . staff members also get no brakes and if you work overtime be lucky if you get paid for that time as well. Would never recommend this company to anyone. They expect you to bend of backwards for them, but you will not receive any in return. The administration loves to threaten your job if things dont go her way.

My grandmother just moved into the Cottages of Swansboro and we are loving it. The family atmosphere is so much better then the facility she just left. The staff seem so caring and genuine and really make her feel part of the family. I live going to visit her and always feel welcome.

I am an employee of The Cottages of Swansboro and I disagree with Vanessa Larks review of the Cottages of Swansboro and our Administration. The Cottages of Swansboro is a very organized community. The entire family has been in this business for generations and have a sincere passion for caring for others. The staff members are treated like family seeing as though this is a family oriented environment. I do not mind bending backwards for the Cottages of Swansboro because they bend backwards for their residents and staff. The Administrator is very competent and worked hard to bring this new home to Swansboro, NC.
