My 94-year-old mom has been in Huntington Terrace for two months and th difference has been remarkable. After struggling with loneliness and depression in her previous assisted living community, we were worried about her physical and emotional well being. After coming to Huntington Terrace, she has truly come alive again. The personalized care she receives makes all the difference. The staff is genuinely kind, patient, and caring. The other residents have been friendly and welcoming. We can see a real improvement in her outlook and overall well-being.

Amazing caring staff, well run, good food and lots of activities for the family to join in on when visiting. Facility is run by a great management team. My mother, who was 101 when she moved in, absolutely loved living there and made a lot of friends with neighbors and the staff. Unfortunately, she passed 15 days shy of her 103rd birthday recently and my wife and I miss visiting her there, as well as the bingo games 3 days a week. Well done Huntington Terrace and thank you for everything.

I recently did a tour of Huntington Terrace with Susan Peterson. Wow, I was absolutely blown away! This place had the most positive vibe and energy. The rooms were great size and very clean. Nice hardwood floors and amenities. They have a heated pool and many activities throughout the day. Susan gave us the most amazing tour and answered all our questions on Huntington Terrace. We spoke to several staff members and they were all friendly and hospitable. I definitely recommend Huntington Terrace to anyone considering assisted living for their loved ones. It’s a great community that feels like home. They’ll be in great care with plenty to do throughout the day!

Huntington Terrace Assisted Living Senior Residence Community has truly been a blessing in disguise for not only my father but myself. To find Huntington Terrace located in the city of Huntington Beach, CA I spoke to a representative from "A Place For Mom" and the representative directed me to two different facilities in which Huntington Terrace was one of them. From the very first conversation that I had with Susan Peterson (who is very personable, kind and warm) I knew this would be a place my dad could call home. Once touring the two different facilities provided to me for Senior Living, I fell in love with Huntington Terrace. Upon my first visit, the front lobby area was filled with a lively and positive upbeat vibe, and I knew right then that this would be just the right place for my father. I cannot begin to explain how helpful and polite ALL the staff has been to not only my father but to me as well. Since his move in on December 23, 2024, I have experienced and observed the staff consistently going far beyond the norm to assist and accommodate both the residents and their family members. This place is a wonderful hidden gem, and I look forward to being a part of the Huntington Terrace family so that my dad can live comfortably for the rest of his days.

Omayra was one of the first people I met. I have been at Huntington Terrace for 2 years. I’m on a soft food diet (ulcers), and at the time Ivan was the chef. I was having problems with food, and Omayra came to my rescue. She went to the store and brought me strawberry yogurt, even though she doesn’t work in the kitchen. That wasn’t her job, but she really helps residents. When Mary was having problems, Omayra took care of her too. I am so grateful for her. After talking with maintenance about my TV and not getting help, Omayra again came to my rescue. She fixed it herself. She never says no when I need her. She leaves what she is doing to help, even moving furniture around to be sure my TV was working. She has never let me down. Omayra has a gold heart, she always goes above and beyond for us. We love her ™

We moved in on February 3rd, 2024. Transition is never easy but the HT staff made it for us as welcoming as possible. Big kudos to chef Ivan. Institutional hospitality is not easy but his menus are high quality. I recommend to try the Steak House. We did and it was incredible: food, atmosphere and service! The whole family enjoyed it very much. Thank you. The staff is very caring. They all should be mentioned but that is impossible. As a hospice nurse doing rounds weekly at Huntington Terrace, I noticed the staff here are truly professional, especially the med techs and caregivers who are always welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive to the needs of their residents. The facility is clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully maintained. I’m particularly impressed with the Casita area ” it’s beautiful and creates a warm, home-like environment. They also offer a wide variety of activities for residents, helping them stay engaged and socially active. Plus, their transportation services make it easy for residents to get to appointments and other places they need to go, which is incredibly helpful for families. With our father passing, we had to move our mother rather quickly from her home so you can imagine the stress for her with grief, moving to a new part of the state, never having lived alone and having lived a socially isolated life for many years... that would be a lot for anyone. I have toured too many places to name. My dad has stayed at a competing facility and a boutique family owned home. The competing facility lasted 1 day before he got urinary tract infection and the boutique home is like a babysitting place with no activities or procedures in place. I spoke to Susan multiple times and she is always friendly and helpful. Huntington was always number 2 in the selection process due to pricing. Finally due to a friend's high recommendation, we decided to move my dad in. My dad has been at Huntington for 2.5 months and he has progressed significantly. He can swallow again and truly enjoys the people and activities. It is all about the employees. The staff is very caring and pays attention to the residents. Like everything in life, you get what you pay for!!

When I was looking for a place for my mother, I spoke with Stephen Rodriguez and he eased all of my apprehensions about assisted living. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions and concerns. It’s hard deciding to put a parent into assisted living but Stephen and this place made it easy. When we were looking for an assisted living facility for my MIL, Huntington Terrace was the first one we toured and it definitely set the bar when touring other places. The immediate welcoming and hospitableness of Huntington Terrace was felt by all the staff we met and the warm feel of the environment was created by the sense of genuine community there. Needless to say, none of the other facilities we later toured measured up and we knew that my MIL’s new home was at Huntington Terrace. Aside from the comfortable and friendly feel, some of the things that helped make the decision an easy one was the amenities and services available, the pack filled calendar of activities and the attention given to the residents. Would like to give a big thank you to Susan Peterson who was wonderful to work with and who helped make my MIL’s transition to assisted living a smooth and pleasant experience. Highly Recommend! My husband and I looked at 4 different residences for my MIL, but this is what made Huntington Terrace stand out: 1. Friendly staff 2. It really feels like a community 3. The residents were out and about and chatting; it's an active and lively environment 4. There are a lot of activities all day, every day 5. There is assisted living and memory care 6. The dining area seems like you're eating at a hotel (nice atmosphere, good food, etc.) After a month of my MIL living there, she is enjoying her stay, enjoys the activities and chatting with other residents, and says the food is good. After touring 15 similar facilities, my father chose Huntington Terrace after three visits”actually, he knew it was "the one" after the first! As a foodie, he is very pleased with the food! What truly stood out to me, after seeing so many places, was the atmosphere”the energy of the staff, the residents, and the environment spoke volumes. We worked closely with Susan Peterson, the Director of Sales, and she was fantastic. Her positive energy was contagious, and every time I visited, I noticed how engaged and happy the residents were. I was particularly impressed by the Bistro and the packed calendar of daily events. Whether it was watching a movie or participating in activities, the residents were always engaged, especially in the Grand Parlor. My dad, who used to live alone, now has a community to socialize with whenever he wants. He’s truly thriving at Huntington Terrace, and I couldn’t be happier with his decision.

My dad moved into Huntington Terrace three weeks ago. I could not be happier with the experience so far. My dad had to be moved very quickly from his former senior living facility as they could no longer meet his needs. Susan P. gave me a wonderful tour of the facility and the unit available for my dad. She answered all of my questions and bent over backwards to get him signed up and moved in an extremely short period of time. I basically told her we wanted to move forward on a Friday and were able to move him in on the following Tuesday!! In addition, I have been very impressed with the dedication and caring of the med tech staff - Chrystal, Edwin, Christy and the rest of the team! Also, would like to thank Jorge and his team of caregivers. You all have been so caring and kind to my dad. I am so thankful for everyone at Huntington Terrace and look forward to my dad getting to know more of the team and the other residents in the months ahead.

We were invited by a resident to have dinner at the private family steakhouse at the Huntington Terrace. The chef served us all a full four course meal. Included was a glass of wine or regular beverage, soup or salad, Steak and Lobster and a Homeade straberry glazed cheesecake. He absolutely knocked it out of the park, the food was delish. The entire dinner from beganing to end was A-1. I am a project manager for a plumbing company and have been to many assisted livings for work, this Community is the best of the best. I found Huntington Terrace when my 81 year old Mom was in the hospital & I needed a discharge address for her to match her with a local center for dialysis. I did not want her going back home in the Inland Empire. Susan Peterson, the Director of Sales has been incredible. The front desk staff & Zehra, the Executive Director are all wonderful to work with. They have helped me with options for my Mom. Mom has been on dialysis due to renal failure @ hm for years. After my Dad died I had arranged caregivers to come in to assist but it was not ideal. I worried about her being alone & not having enough social interaction! She’s been living @ HT a week tmrw. Mom can not stop raving about the food & how delicious it is. Zehra recommended a service to take Mom to a DaVita center for dialysis which has worked out well. They take cleanliness very seriously @ HT. She’s going to get a mani/pedi later today. Her medication are taken care of and she is getting the care with love & attention she deserves. I live out of state & am fortunate to visit my Mom often with work travel or just because. I have to say Huntington Terrace has given both of us & my brother’s peace of mind. Super happy we found this place for our Mom that is close to my youngest brother’s home & work. He’ll be assist more I’m sure. I recommend checking out HT if you need a place for a loved one.

Huntington Terrace is the nicest and cleanest assisted living facility I’ve ever been to. My dad was in the hospital and needed to move into an assisted living facility after he was released. My fianc© and I toured this facility on a Saturday with Michael and let us fill out the paperwork to hold a studio for my dad for move-in on Monday if their nurse could come and assess my dad and his needs on Monday morning! Poutri came to the hospital on Monday morning and did the assessment and was so sweet! Susan got his studio ready and furnished it with all the furniture and said we could borrow it until we were able to get dad furniture. Zehra helped us fill out all the paperwork when we arrived on Monday afternoon! I didn’t even think it was possible to get dad moved into a new home so quickly, but Huntington Terrace did it for us and I am so grateful to them! The directors, nurse, front desk staff (Emma, Mary Ann, Becky, Khalani), care givers (Lorna, Elsa) and med techs (Christy, Ruby, Martha) have been amazing! They really care about my dad and are so nice and great about communicating to me how my dad is adjusting to his new home!

Huntington Terrace is a fantastic place for seniors, and my family member loves it. The Christmas decorations during my visit added a festive touch, and the front desk staff, especially Kalani and MaryAnn, were friendly. The activities, featuring impressive singers, are enjoyable, and Omayra, the activities director, is kind and responsive to residents' preferences. The rooms are clean, and the small pool is perfect for seniors. The courtyard with ducks and squirrels is a charming spot for a walk. Hung, the fitness instructor, leads great classes. Overall, it feels like a wonderful resort. I'm pleased my loved one lives there, and she's happier and more active since moving to Huntington Terrace. Thanks to Huntington Terrace for taking care of our loved ones.

Recently, they even went to see Christmas lights, which she really enjoyed. O'mayra, the activities director, is beyond amazing. Mom likes the nice courtyard and the pool. When she first arrived, she was a bit down, but now, in this environment, she's happy again. It's great to be warmly greeted by the front desk, especially MaryAnn, and every interaction with the staff is a pleasure. My siblings and I are impressed, and grateful.

I've been residing at Huntington Terrace for over two years now, and I must say, our current executive director, Zehra, surpasses her predecessor in every way. Zehra is approachable and consistently available to address any concerns we might have. Omayra and her activities team are truly outstanding. They organize a diverse range of activities, from beach outings to art and jewelry-making, keeping us happily engaged. Omayra's dedication is evident as she strives to provide us with enjoyable entertainment and movie options. Moreover, the caregivers regularly check on us during the night to ensure our well-being. The front desk staff is consistently helpful and accommodating. My experience at Huntington Terrace has made me feel genuinely cherished and valued. I am writing regarding two world class, exceptional employees, Mike and Zehra. Here is why: My dad is severely disabled from a long standing brain tumor and is currently receiving dismal care from an assisted living in South Carolina. The level of assistance and care, or lack thereof, is disgracefully bad to the degree of panic. A Place for Mom recommended Huntington Terrace and it was here I came into the immediate and immense compassion, competence, and heart of Mike the marketing director. Mike took the time to really listen and understand my plea for help. I was scared and he truly cared. His initiative to involve Zehra and look for unique ways to help move my Dad has given our family a sense of comfort and confidence we have not had in many years. Mike provided the necessary support and contacts to hospice, concierge medical services, and the like. His follow up is second to none. Not only that, I could see the positive impact he has on the residents in this community on a personal level. He knows them all by name, engages in real conversations, makes them feel seen, laughs and jokes, as if they are all his family. He commented it’s standard as if to say it’s nothing special, but it is quite the contrary. He makes the extraordinary look normal. Zehra is no exception to this sentiment as well. Her partnership and involvement should be recognized and appreciated at the highest level. She has been involved in many joint calls, hearing me through, and working towards saving my dad’s life which means more than an email could ever describe. Her communication is clear, concise, and fair. I do not feel sold. I feel safe and secure in moving my dad into the care of the team at Huntington Terrace. The environment of Huntington Terrace reminds me of a cruise ship. The place is kept clean, the caregivers, med techs and office staff are friendly and the residents seem to be happy there. I really appreciate their efforts at working with my father who had been in his home for over 30 years. He was a tough person get get moved in, plus he was a smoker and had two little dogs. They were so accommodating and even created a fenced in space off his balcony for his beloved dogs. I just hope that if I should ever need assisted living, that I could find a place as friendly, caring and clean as Huntington Terrace.

Happy to write this review about Huntington Terrace. My mother recently moved back into Huntington Terrace from another assisted living property in Fountain Valley. Mom is very happy to be back at Huntington Terrace! Although I don't live in California, I am in constant contact with mom to see how she is doing. Mom reports that one of the things she likes most about Huntington Terrace is that it is very lively. In addition, there are staff available to take her to the terrace to enjoy music, lunch, and conversation with the other residents. Mom also attends on-site church on Sundays which is so important to her. She loves Bingo and is able to participate often. OMayra, a most caring staff member, takes mom to lots of activities, and gives her the opportunity to engage in artistic projects. Mom had to make a very abrupt transition from living in her own condo for many years to assisted living. The management and staff at Huntington Terrace have done a wonderful job helping mom to adjust to her new home. I especially want to thank Linda Hiles, Executive Director, for all her support and understanding in making this transition as smooth as possible for our entire family. I will be forever grateful to you, Linda. If you are looking for a safe and caring place for your loved one, I would highly recommend Huntington Terrace for seniors as a wonderful place to call home. My mother has lived at Huntington Terrace for over 3 years now and I am extremely happy with the attention and care given by the staff. I visit my mom quite often and it's pretty easy to notice the kindness and patience of these hard-working individuals. Thank you to the caregivers who have been diligent with taking care of my mom over the past three years. Thank you to the Med Techs and restaurant staff for all you do. Thank you to the Medical Directors for the attention and going that extra mile to make a positive difference in my mom's life. My Grandfather became a resident here two months ago . He has Dementia . The staff , especially Ruby , make his time here pleasant and comfortable. Although he is not entirely himself , he is still as sociable and witty as ever. He even taught Ruby a new dance . She say's " He makes us all laugh. We love him" . He seems genuinely happy here . He does not have his own room yet, but his roommate and him keep each other on their toes by playfully talking smack . It's good for them haha My Grandmother became a resident here almost two weeks ago, it would have been two weeks on Monday. She had fluid in her lungs and was bound to an oxygen tank 24hrs a day. At first she was angry , rightfully so , but within the first week she decorated her studio apartment and even made friends , whom she would have lunch and dinner with. She was able to see Grandpa whenever she wanted . She was settling in. On Thursday she took a turn for the worst, we were made aware that her time here was coming to an end. The Hospice nurses took 8hrs shifts around the clock . My Grandmother was never in discomfort and we were able to see her 24hrs a day. With the exceptional care and compassion from all the Hospice nurses , Athena and Sophie especially , my Grandmother passed peacefully in her sleep this morning at 4am , surrounded by love . I cannot thank these amazing nurses for being so wonderful to our family during this unbearable time.

My mother-in-law had Alzheimer's and when she could no longer be cared for at home, we wanted to make sure she would have the best care possible. We found that at Huntington Terrace. She lived at Huntington Terrace for almost 2 years before recently passing away. The staff at Huntington Terrace is exceptional. The Memory Care unit is bright and cheerful. There is a lovely community space, outdoor space and a dining room. The rooms are spacious and allow for single or double occupancy. My family will forever be grateful for care provided by Huntington Terrace.
