Lindsey Cray, the Director of Sales, was fabulous to work with. We had a situation with my father that was very fluid and changed frequently and she was understanding throughout the whole process. Lindsey was also responded quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend Trustwell Living at Mission Springs!

My mother enjoys living here. She's in a safe, caring environment where the employees really get to know the residents. The staff has a teamwork approach in their care style. The new updated look of the dining room and living areas and rooms makes a cheery setting.

Lack of care and management overall. They oversold services truly available.

We have been with Trustwell almost 2 years. Our resident is well looked after, kept active and engaged, and I truly believe her quality of life has dramatically improved because of the care and oversight of the caring staff at Trustwell. Our family is very appreciative of this care and the good communication we receive. I view the interaction with the residents several times weekly and am continuously impressed by their care, compassion and patience. Thank you!

I would like to share some well deserved accolades for the medical aides at the Mission location. KERRY SOLA is a strong leader and mentor for the medical aides. She onboards and trains new staff as well as daily duties and doesn’t miss a beat! DOMINIQUE ESPINOZA is a super hard worker and doesn’t hesitate to jump right in whenever and wherever help is needed. She has a great sense of pride in what she does. CHRISTINE AMOGIN is truly a caregiver in every sense of the word. She takes care of all with patience, love and grace. ALI MASUMI always has an uplifting attitude and well liked by staff and the people he cares for. He too jumps right in if fellow staff or others need his help. Last but not least is KAMILA MASUMI. She has a huge heart and helps keep things moving during hectic meal hours. She somehow knows what people need even - before they ask for it! Hats off to an amazing group of people!

It’s a leaderless property right now.

My mother with Alzheimer's has lived at Trustwell Mission Springs for about 9 months. The experience has been very good. The staff in general (housekeeping, activities, concierge, dining, and executive) are great. Mom's direct care, Corrine, Tracy and Pam have been exceptionally supportive. Mom feels very comfortable with her care providers and has benefited greatly from the social interaction in the community. The staff are very accessible and communication is good. Overall, we have been very satisfied. Update: My mother passed in July 2025 after living at Trustwell Mission Springs for close to 2 years. Our overall experience was very good. Mom's primary caregivers were wonderful. Mom was always treated with respect and kindness. As Mom's functioning deteriorated, adjustments were made to her care plan which allowed her to remain in her apartment in the assisted living unit rather than being moved to memory care. We were very grateful for the accommodations made. Though there were minor issues along the way, we were always able to communicate directly with nursing services and executive staff to sort those out. Truly, Mom did very well at Trustwell Mission Springs. I do not believe that she would have been able to sustain in a larger assisted living setting that offered less direct interaction. Thank you to the staff at Trustwell Mission Springs.

The staff is AMAZING!! The residents are always taken cared for. The cleanliness of the facility is outstanding. But the only thing I would complain about is about the marketing, lady from corporate. I overheard her tell a staff member that another resident needed to be moved because she thought it looked like a nursing home and she had a tour. But the fact that my mom and all these other residents pay close to 4 grand a month. And you telling me they're not allowed to sit in the common area? Because an ignorant person thanks, it looks like a nursing home. Obviously, she's never worked in a nursing home to know the difference. It's a very sad and disappointing situation, especially when it comes from a corporate lady

The cleanliness, presentation, operation, and professionalism of this group is unmatched. Residents are safe. My loved one routinely compliments the staff, expressing that they "are gracious to me" and often thanks me for providing her such a safe place to be. Whenever anything arises, I am notified. And when I call, messages are delivered to the appropriate recipient in a reasonable amount of time. All of this puts all of the residents at ease. The facility is in a great part of town. It's simply the right place for most people who need the services they provide. I am thankful that my loved one is in great hands.

Trustwell Living, Aly, SaraJo and the staff have been an absolute god send for my mother Linda. When we first moved my mom to Kansas I looked at Trustwell but ended up picking a different facility due to the distance of where we lived. It was the biggest mistake and after only two and a half months, we moved my mom to Trustwell. They have been absolutely amazing with my mother and give her the attention she needs and allow her to still feel independent while in the locked facility. I can also not say enough positive things about Aly! She is always there if you need to discuss care, takes time to spend with the residents and find out what they need to feel comfortable. For my mom apparently that meant studying tractors and going back to her working days and teaching the staff to become nurses. I knowing caring for an ex-nurse is not always easy, but they have never questioned what makes her happy and instead just go along with it and make her feel important. Trustwell does not make your family feel like a burden, like the previous place my mom was at, but instead treats them like their family. My family and I all agree that Trustwell is where my mom needs to be.’

This is Karen Artman & Cindy Hadel. My dad's name is Robert Moore, room 106. Kerry Sola & Lakisha Brown, they are top notch Med aides. They go over & above the call of duty! My dad has dementia & they can both get him to do things we can't get him to do. We are in the facility everyday & we are very appreciative for everything they do for our father. We had a rough start when we first came. And Kerry & Lakisha made everything go so smooth. We love them as family!

I did not know what to do when my beautiful wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease six years ago. In addition to being the stronger one in our marriage, she was also the smarter one, the outgoing one, and the decision maker. Keeping her at home became impossible after a few years, and it was time for me to make the difficult decision to take her to memory care. Carrie, the Community Relations Director, was the first friendly face I met at Trustwell (then called Bickford). My emotional distress was obvious, but she promised me that they could take excellent care of my wife. She assured me that in time, my wife would come to think of Trustwell as her home. Taking my wife there was really hard, as one can imagine, but it was the best decision I could have made. The cheerful atmosphere at Trustwell is plain for all to see. The staff is invariably kind, caring, and respectful to the residents and to me. They try to involve everyone in fun activities, such as playing games, watching movies, sightseeing around town, and lunch excursions. Joann, the Activities Director, makes my wife feel pretty by doing her nails or fixing up her hair. The caregivers there are wonderful. If I started mentioning them by name I would forget some, so I’d better not start. It’s a really hard job, but they do it well. The medical staff makes sure the residents take all their meds on time, and keep a watchful eye for changes in behavior and appearance. I recently needed help taking my wife to a medical appointment, and they came to the rescue by giving us a ride in their wheelchair accessible bus. I couldn’t have gotten her to the hospital by myself. Since Bickford became Trustwell last year, they have made steady improvements to the facilities. Workers are constantly painting, redecorating, landscaping and cleaning. On pretty days, we sit outside on the back porch and talk. If the weather is too hot or cold, we stay inside and watch the finches play in their huge birdcage or listen to music in her room. My wife is not an unhappy person. Her smile still lights up a room. I wish I could say she has a bright future, but Alzheimers remains undefeated. Knowing that Trustwell will be there with us for each step of her journey is comforting. ******* Seven months later. My amazing wife, Natalie, passed a few weeks ago. I want to express my sincerest gratitude and praise for Trustwell, for giving her a comfortable and dignified exit from this world. I miss my wife terribly, It is difficult to find silver linings at a time like this, but here are a few: My wife had Alzheimers for about eight years. She spent the last three and a half at Trustwell. In that time, I never for a second worried about her being well cared for. Even when Covid kept me from visiting. I can’t even imagine how hard all of this would have been if I was worried about her well-being when I wasn’t there to be her advocate. Natalie was not an unhappy person at Trustwell. She won everyone over with her 50,000 megawatt smile and easy-going nature. In her final week, when she could not leave her room, many of the caregivers came in to say their goodbyes. They really loved her and missed seeing her out in the common area and at the table at meal time. I don’t know if Natalie knew who was speaking to her in her final days, but it was really comforting and touching to see. If anyone is reading this, trying to decide if Trustwell is the right place for their loved one, let me allay your fears. Taking my beautiful wife, the most important person in the world to me, to Trustwell was the best decision I could have made. She was happy there, and was surrounded by caring people as she passed.

Love the staff and administration! They genuinely care about each resident and work hard to make sure the quality of life is as great as possible. They have great food, countless fun activities, and nursing staff that treats residents like family.

Trustwell of Mission staff are amazing! They are professional, kind, friendly, and caring. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel welcome there and I always enjoy watching the caregivers care for the residents. Love this community!

I have been a resident for over 9 months and have found this to be a truly 5-star facility. Trustwell Assisted Living lives up to its name. We are truly living in a warm and friendly environment that smells clean. First impression on walking in the front door is that this is an elegant, inviting place. The administration lives up to its promise to treat you like family. The workers get along well and help each other. They are attentive to the needs of the residents and work to mitigate their handicaps by encouraging everyone to do the best they can for themselves and to remain as independent as possible. A variety of floorplans are available with private bathrooms with walk-in showers and small kitchenettes included in all floorplans from studios to 2-room arrangements. There are ample closets with built-in shelving. Each apartment has its own heating/air-conditioning unit. The apartments are nearly sound-proof. Meals are served in the dining room where there are tables large enough to seat 6, even with wheelchairs. A private dining room is available for family gatherings. Most residents come from Kansas and move here when they are no longer able to live at home. Visitors are welcome and help to maintain close ties with our former lives. There are therapists specialized for all sorts of disabilities. There is a room for physical therapy, with the riddle of the day posted every morning. Regular group exercises occur every morning except Sundays. A bus takes residents shopping once a week to Target, Walmart or a grocery store. The bus can accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. There are semi-monthly outings to area restaurants for the noon meal. Occasional trips to a movie are available. There is also a weekly in-house movie. There is a lovely covered back porch on the south side and residents are encouraged to enjoy the fresh air, help with patio plants and a vegetable plot. A heavy wooded area separates this porch from Shawnee Mission parkway making it feel like sitting in the woods. Birds frequent the birdbath. Rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks are often seen.

My family moved my mother into Trustwell Living at Mission Springs after a turbulent year. My father had been looking after my mother, but when he passed away she was simply lost. We needed a secure home for her with access to care 24/7 for medication support, meals and access to assistance to keep her safe. We were concerned about how she would respond to the staff and residents at Trustwell as she has not been particularly social in the past few years. We could not be happier with the care she is receiving at Trustwell. More to the point, she is genuinely happy at Trustwell and has told me on more than one occasion how much she likes the staff. The professionals at Trustwell are accessible to the families and always project a warm and caring attitude. I could not recommend them more highly.
May 2023
I toured several Assisted living and Memory Care places for my mother over the last few months and after looking at several we found Trustwell Living. It was like a hidden treasure. My husband and I were so welcomed and impressed with the facility and the staff. Carrie was so caring and compassionate and listen to my concerns about my mother's needs. We brought my mother the following week and my mother loved the place. She has been there for two weeks now. She has a beautiful one bedroom apartment. My mother is thriving there and loves being there and all the friends she has made. The staff goes above and beyond to give her the best care. Her meals are delicious. All the social activities that she gets to be involved in have made such a huge difference in her well being. She tells me every day how happy she is to be there. And that is so important for me to know that she loves it at Trustwell Living. Anything that I need to share about my mom or a concern that I have, I can always count on Aly or Carrie to take care of it. Her nurses are just wonderful. I have told friends and family about Trustwell Living and what a wonderful place it is to have your loved one cared for. Thank you all

First time visiting a friend there. Easy in. Seems like a nice place.

Recently my mom was moved to another room for a couple months while renovations were done. We were so pleased with what a wonderful job the staff did to get everything put back in place exactly as it had been originally. And her room looks so great now!!! Thanks to staff for the amazing job!!!!

This facility took very good care of my dad for two years prior to his passing. Now my mom is there. Same familiar faces that our family has bonded with. My mom loves the extra special care that she receives.
February 2023
Our experience at Trustwell was wonderful. My mother Josie Ogan just passed away on January 9, 2023. Josie made new friends at Trustwell. She embraced her new home. Josie really loved the food. I felt like the CNAs, nurses and anyone who works at Trustwell took very good care of her. Thank to all of the Trustwell family, Carmel Edwards
January 2023
Linda Benander, RN Health Services Director of Trustwell Living at Mission Springs, suggested our Dad be seen by Mark Baptist, Geriatric Primary Care Physician of Trustwell Living at Mission Springs. That was over month ago and our father has made definite improvement. He has never had such good care and Dr Mark Baptist helped figure out some health issues that was previously a mystery. We are so relieved our Dad is also happy with his health improvements along with the friends he has made there. Thank you ™
January 2023
This is a really great place. My grandmother was very well loved here. Activities are available all throughout the day, every day. The staff is kind and the buildings and rooms are very nice.
January 2023
We have friends who have lived here for several years and are very content. I know there have been problems in the past as happens in most care facilities. The new administration and staff are doing a fine job. Some staff have been here for years. Renovations have been handled so well. All work was done while the residents were asleep and there was never a paint smell in the building. The outings have been interesting and fun and the interaction of staff and residents is good. Since I live in Mission it is where I would choose to live if I were unable to stay in my home. It’s my neighborhood.
January 2023
We found the staff to be very caring and attentive. Our family felt that our resident was under skilled professionals and that communication with us was open and available.
January 2023
My mother stayed at your facility and I wanted to say a few words about the care she received there. The staff was very responsive to her needs (and ours). They made sure that she got to her meals; when she pushed her call button they responded in a very reasonable amount of time. Her room was always clean. The staff seemed to be very kind as well and that is so important to the family members. I would definitely recommend your place to anyone who is in need of care. My mother remained there until she passed away and we were so glad she was there for her final days.
December 2022
Super nice caregivers. Naomi is a wonderful lady. She really goes beyond and above including everyone in all her fun activities. My mom moved in last spring. She loves the food. What else can I say
July 2022
We were very pleased with the care my mom received. She moved into assisted living in February 2022 with her dog. The entire staff was very welcoming, kind and accommodating. My mom had a lot of health issues, and the staff along with their physical therapy and hospice partners provided very good care and were very compassionate. My mom didn’t have much of an appetite, and the dietary staff was great about trying to find something my mom would eat and were so kind. The staff also took care of my mom’s dog so that he could be with her, which was so comforting for my mom and our family. We made a good choice and will be forever grateful.

Dont have the entrance open. Major construction going on here. Be careful trying to find the 2nd entrance thru that back neighborhood.

The staff are all so warm, kind and compassionate. Although it is a secured environment, Bickford makes it feel like a home instead of an institution. They made the last year of my mom's life the best it could have been. I will always be glad we chose Bickford.

Bickford employees are caring and friendly to the people living there. We made a good choice after looking at a lot of choices.
