My sister relocated here from a small town in the Midwest, where she had spent her entire life. The last ten years she had lived alone. This move was a life changing experience for her. In the 18 months she has been at Hawthorne Court, she has made dramatic progress in her ability to communicate, socialize and improve her life skills. Her self confidence has improved significantly and she continues expanding her interests and participation in the many planned activities provided. These improvements are all a result of the efforts of the staff at Hawthorne Court! My gratitude extends to all the employees and other residents who go out of their way every day to make her life more meaningful. She now feels at home here and thinks of the staff and other residents as her new family .

My dad stayed at Hawthorne Court for 20 months until his death. The people there became his surrogate family. They were his friends, they brought him his favorite meals, they kidded with him and made him feel safe and comfortable. They were there to help us as we tried to be there for him. They were flexible, caring and went the extra mile for dad. It meant the world to us. I would highly recommend!

If you or a family member are in need of assisted living facility I would encourage you to go visit Hawthorne Court. They are so kind and provide an amazing healthy atmosphere for your loved one. My dad has gained a new family, safety net and quality of life!!

Friday before Mother's Day afternoon: don't know if it was the timing, but no place to park on the grounds and didn't want to park blocks away and walk, so I never got in the door to see what the place was like. Also parking places seemed VERY NARROW!

Surprised by the reviews because I’ve had dinner with my parents on the independent side for the last month and it’s been amazing. The servers are so helpful, the cook was amazing and management was helpful and even brought my daughter(who was exhausted) ice cream. This has always been a nice place but now it feels like a family.

Just got a call tonight from my mother-in-law, a resident at Hawthorne. She said the chef quit and went back to the senior center where she used to live and the food has since gone downhill. Not sure what else she's unhappy with as she wouldn't tell us on the phone but we'll stop by tomorrow and see for ourselves. My experience with four such businesses in the Tri-Cities area suggests she's going through what she's gone through elsewhere and what elderly friends and other relatives have gone through in that metro area too - corporate fiddling with budgets that negatively affects already low-paid staff's work satisfaction and therefore resident satisfaction. I also can't help noticing how many "so happy to work here" comments there are dating from the last few months. Suspicious. Especially since the population demographic of people who live in these places skews toward those who are not computer literate. Meaning the people in the best position to report on what it's like to live there don't post online for others to see.

The facility is staffed with caring, cheerful and friendly people. I can't say enough about the inviting atmosphere there. Apartments are all on one floor, no elevators! Many activities are available, both on site and outings to restaurants and joyrides. An absolute gem of a place to live.

My mother in law is a resident at Hawthorne and we spend a good deal of time there visiting her and the other residents. It’s a welcoming place with a friendly atmosphere. The staff is positive and friendly. My mother in law is happy and very comfortable there. Highly recommend.
