UPDATE: I'd originally posted this 2.5 years ago, shortly after my mom first moved into Windsor. Now, after the passage of those many months (not to mention the passing of my mom, just 3 days shy of her 100th birthday), I can unequivocally tell you that neither I, nor my initially reluctant mom, have regretted the decision to move her here!!! In the early months, she refused to use the term "home" to refer to her 1 bedroom apartment. After about a year, however, I began hearing that word used more and more. During those 2.5 years, aside from the usual meals, housekeeping, bathing, and other forms of care mom received, there were several times I'd needed to call on staff for help (I'm the only living relative, and I'm 1100 miles away) and ALWAYS were they there to help. The Director, Naomi Peacock, was always helpful and very professional, Brenda (the Activities Director) treats everyone like they are the most loved, most important person in the world, and the rest of the staff were always kind and responsive to my mom, and I didn't have to just take someone else's word for it...during her stay, because of her particular needs, there were numerous times when I went down to Florida to help her out and would stay in her apartment, sometimes for weeks at a time. I saw and experienced their care first hand! To say I'd recommend the Windsor would be an under-statement! ------------------------ Mom (97) was so resistant to leaving her home of 35 years, but it was "time"...maybe even past time! But she moved in and her experience has been very positive. As she meanders down the hallway, or is at mealtime, staff are constantly calling her by name and asking how her day is going, or some other pleasantries. She definitely likes the food, and appreciates the safety protocols, like checking on her at bedtime and first thing in the morning to invite her to breakfast (and be sure she's OK). As a daughter who lives over 1000 miles away and is still working full time, my greatest fears have been that something might happen to her and no one would even know for days. The strain of that was wearing on me before...now I know she's in good hands. Meal times are nice too because of some new friends that mom has made...so grateful for those connections. When you look at the "marketing" of any place, the question always comes to mind "yeah, but how realistic is all that". In this case it's VERY!!! Thank you to management and staff at the Windsor. You're helping to give my mom a new "home" where she is safe, well cared for, and treated with love and compassion!!!

My mom has been there for 2.5 years now and will soon celebrate her 100th there (in 4 weeks). Living over 1000 miles from her, and being her only child, I was so concerned about her getting good care. She was VERY resistant about moving from the home she and my dad (long deceased) had built and the first month or two were a bit tricky. Right from the start, though, the staff were VERY friendly and supportive and eventually she warmed up to the idea that this was the best option for her. It took her about a year, but she eventually started to refer to it as "home" (a word she long resisted using about her apartment, despite everything we did to "homify" it from the things she loved from her and daddy's home). But that resistance has long gone and the one thing she keeps saying about them is how well everyone treats her and how much they "spoil" her. There is no question in my mind this was our best decision.

My experience at The Windsor of Palm Coast was truly wonderful! Ms. Debbie provided us with extremely formative and helpful information, giving us a comprehensive and welcoming tour of the facility. It was a pleasure to meet Miss Ruth, the ambassador, as well as a few of the other lovely ladies who were enjoying a game of bingo during our visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was evident that the residents were happily engaged in their activities. The facility itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which gave us peace of mind. The staff members we encountered were kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. The visit was not only informative but also reassuring, as it felt like a place where my grandmother would be comfortable and well-cared for. Overall, The Windsor of Palm Coast left a very positive impression, and we are confident it would be a great choice for my grandmothers care.

We’d like to thank the entire staff of the Windsor for the wonderful treatment that our mother Doris received during the past year. Prior to moving from Las Palmas to the Windsor she was quite apprehensive. However, within several weeks she was more than content and realized that it was the right decision. Since then, she has remarked many times how much she liked living there and also how much she liked the food. The latter was partially due to being able to have a hamburger and ice cream whenever she wanted! Throughout the past year, we have observed the attentiveness, understanding, and kindness of the Windsor staff. This more than anything else made our mother’s past year as comfortable as possible, despite her numerous health problems. You should all be incredibly proud of the work that you do. We feel that we could not have selected a better place to care of our her, even if we had searched the entire state. We feel incredibly fortunate that the Windsor is here in Palm Coast. We have been and will continue recommending the Windsor to our friends at every opportunity.

Upon invitation, on Wednesday, April 16th, I met my client for lunch. We proceeded to the Dining Room where I greeted various unfamiliar residents with a "Hello ™." We sat at a table occupied by another gentleman, who graciously welcomed us. Donna, the wait staffer, came over and asked what would we like to drink. I asked if they have ginger ale. She stated, "No. We don't serve soda." I asked what beverages are available. She proceeded to name them. My client and I asked for a lemonade. He also requested water for us both. Donna stepped away briefly. The gracious gentleman handed me the menu of which I began to peruse through. Upon Donna's return, she set the placings for my client and I (tea cup & saucer to my right, upside down (water) goblet placed in front of me). Donna then states, "You have to pay." I reply, "That's not a problem. Do you accept debit card?" Donna: "No, you have to go to the front desk." Me: "This is my first time here." (I did not know if there was a "front" desk in the dining room or was she referring to the lobby). Donna: "You have to pay." Me: "I do not like your tone." Donna removes the (water) goblet from in front of me...breaking down the area I am sitting at. Her condescending tone and removal of the goblet...while I am sitting at the table...spoke volumes to me. Racism. Upon seeing her removing the (water) goblet, I stood up and stated I will not be eating here. Donna's tone changes. It softens a little..."You can eat here. You just have to pay." I advised my client to proceed with lunch and I will wait for him. I proceeded to the lobby front desk to file a complaint. Before I could speak with the Director, my client appeared and requested me to come give him a shave. Apparently, he did not have lunch. Later, I met with Director Naomi who transcribed my grievance. I also informed her of my client not having lunch. Naomi immediately radioed in a lunch request for my client. She was very apologetic, thanked me for bringing this to her attention, and hoped that one person is not a reflection of The Windsor community as a whole, stated she will be investigating and speaking with the Chef and (Server) Donna, and placing a follow-up call with me on Friday, April 18th before 11 am. Naomi even gave me a hug upon my departure. I informed her I will be writing a Google Review. On Friday, April 18th at 9:17 am, I received a phone call from Director Naomi and a gentleman (I apologize for not remembering his name...it begins with a J.). Naomi was apologetic. I asked what is the outcome. She stated she is investigating and that Donna will not be working with the public for a while. I stated, Donna needs sensitivity training. I informed Naomi of other staff I have come in contact with are polite and friendly. Naomi invited and welcomed me to come have lunch at the Windsor anytime...it's on them. I am very appreciative of Director Naomi's follow-up and do hope Donna receives bias training. I won't be dining at The Windsor of Palm Coast.

I cannot say enough positive comments about the staff at The Windsor. From the initial meeting to move in day and after they have been amazing. Moving a loved one to assisted living is a tough decision but they have made the transition comfortable and so easy. The facility itself is attractive and homey. The apartments are roomy and meet all our needs. The caretakers are wonderful. They are responsive, kind, personable and really care about the residents. We are very happy that we chose The Windsor of Palm Coast.

We moved our mother from another facility in Palm Coast 8 months ago and we are very pleased with The Windsor. Mom has dementia so we needed a place where the staff really has a heart for caring for dementia/Alzheimer’s residents. Reflections Memory Care exceeds our expectations. Brenda, the Activities Director in memory care has a God given gift for caring for the residents. She spends the day filling them with activities, laughter, and love. My mother is so much more content! The staff and nurses are attentive and responsive, no matter what request or question we have. Darlene in the reception is always there with a smile. I can definitely recommend The Windsor for your loved one.

The care and compassion of the staff toward the residents is outstanding. This is a very tough job and demands a lot of patience, professionalism and empathy. We have been at the Windsor for 12 years now and feel very comfortable with the staff. We consider ourselves as a team with the staff and interact with them and feel heard by them. The Executive Director, Health Care Coordinator and the Activities Director are among the wonderful and talented people we deal with regularly and they are very compassionate, professional and knowledgeable and service oriented. We give 5 stars for this facility!

Great place! The staff is amazing and kind! My mom has been a resident at The Windsor of Palm Coast for over 4 years! She now lives in Reflections, (Memory Care). She loves to walk. She can spend an hour walking around the patio or sitting in the sun. She loves Brenda from Activities. Brenda takes the best pictures of Mom. And she can get her to participate in most activities. I'll be leaving for an extended trip and I have the upmost confidence in the care my mom will recieve.

We recently moved our parents to The Windsor from another facility in Palm Coast. Our main concern was the care and attention of our mother who has Alzheimer’s. Reflections is the area of The Windsor for those with memory care needs. The Activity Director, Brenda has been such a breath of fresh air. She is friendly and energetic. She genuinely cares for each resident. Brenda is creative and interacts with each resident in the way that person can respond. Even though our mom is in the last stages of Alzheimer’s, she treats her as if she didn’t have the disease at all. She is included in all activities and spoken to and treated with respect. I also like to mention Alice, Tangela, Anna, Pam and Tameka , who are wonderful with both her and my dad. There are several more to mention, but I can’t remember everyone’s name! We appreciate how well they communicate with us the needs of both of our parents. Moving to the Windsor has been the best decision we could’ve made for the care of our parents. We are happy with the assisted-living side as well because there have a lot more active people there. There are many activities for our dad to become involved in as well as special occasion celebrations. At the place our parents were at before, the assisted-living side had become more of a skilled nursing place and he was getting deeply depressed. I would also like to mention Darlene who runs the front desk. You are always greeted with a smile and if you have a question she either answers it or directs you to the person who can. Naomi, the director is always out and about among the residents in both assisted living and memory care. We did not experience an involved director where we were before and we really appreciate her.The Windsor gives us peace of mind as to the care of our parents.

The Windsor of Palm Coast was our choice for our Aunt whom moved from another state. So far I can honestly tell you that her welcome at this facility has been exceptional! Staff and Residents both gave her such a warm welcome it really touched her heart. The Windsor is a very beautiful and clean property. My aunt says she feels like she's on a cruise ship, so many activities, delicious food and very attentive staff. I feel great about her living there. I know she's safe and has help if she needs it. Pictures are a lunch special, basketball tournament and Catholic mass.

The caring staff here are the secret sauce of senior living that works. They welcomed my mother-in-law so warmly and have been so supportive during difficult medical issues. The facility itself is nice with a lovely courtyard garden all residents can enjoy.

Recently visited the Windsor. The lobby and front area are beautiful, nicely decorated and very clean. Receptionist was welcoming and the Resident Director was very friendly. She took time to answer all of my questions about Senior Living, and all of the amenities available to the residents. Very nice place.

My mother, who has Alzheimer's Dementia, has been living at The Windsor of Palm Coast for 2+ years and it has been a great place for her! The staff, from administration to patient care, have all been excellent at taking good care of her, especially during the continued COVID-19 Pandemic. The facility itself is kept clean and odor free. The Windsor is a beautiful assisted living facility that has warm compassionate employees that make all the difference in the care of your loved one. Melanie, Sandy and Beth are genuine, loving nurses that really listen to the needs of the families and residents.Of course, having lovely surroundings is important,but NOTHiNG rises above how someone makes you feel! Melanie and her staff specialize in making each resident feel important and heard. Each resident is unique and equally cared for. Oh, and the food here is awesome!!!

Went on a tour of the Windsor and I must say, I was really impressed. High ceilings and big windows everywhere gave such a light and airy feeling; another thing that struck me was how the place was decorated. Every aspect, everything you looked at was pretty! Whether you walked down to the library and played billiards or sat at one of the game tables, or walked along the gorgeous paved walkway with the beautiful fountain, or went to the movie room or activities room, it seemed to me there would always be something interesting to lure you out of your room--which, speaking of, the rooms are SO NICE! Beautifully laid out and spacious feeling, the one I looked at today had its own charming patio to enjoy. The green landscaping and delicate trees were so restful, I just wanted to sit down there myself. I haven't said a word about all the amenities and activities on offer because that would take a while, and for right now I just wanted to concentrate on what I saw. What I saw was a beautifully designed and planned facility filled with friendly staff, and peopled with lively, engaged, and smiling residents. I was really impressed!

I visit the Windsor on a weekly basis to teach a yoga class there. Every week I am greeted with happy, genuine, kind smiling faces. The facility is always sparkling clean (TRULY clean, not just surface spot clean), and most importantly, the residents are happy. The Windsor does a phenomenal job of building community and is constantly going above and beyond to ensure the quality of life for the wonderful people who live there. I only wish that this facility was available for my grandparents when they needed it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

My mom is in this beautiful place with these beautiful friendly helpful people. I am so very impressed the care they all give and with a smile always. My 90 year old mother has made a complete turnaround since she has been there. Her health, her mood everything has gotten better. I cannot rave about this place enough. If you love your parents and want them to be well cared for and happy , this is the place for them. Thank you all for being there everyday in everyway. God Bless them all!! love you guys!

Wow! What a beautiful and friendly facility! I recently attended their organic fair/open house and was so impressed with how clean, homey and beautifully decorated it is. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and everyone we spoke with was very friendly. This is a place I'd love to call "home" one day. Great job, Kathleen and team!

I'm a local musician who has had the opportunity to perform for the residents at The Windsor of Palm Coast several times. I always enjoy coming to this facility. It's very clean and reminds me of a Hilton hotel property with the way it's decorated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The residents seem very happy and there seems to be a lot offered to them in terms of services and activities. Would highly recommend this facility!!

The staff is fantastic. They are very friendly and dedicated to helping everyone. The building is clean and well maintained on the inside and outside. It’s a great place to have someone you care about live when they need help. Overall a very caring atmosphere.

My Grandmother went on a tour that was scheduled promptly and very informative. She loved the place and the experience she had with the staff. The Windsor is at the top of her list for when the time comes for her to transition into assisted living.

We have had such great and positive experiences with the staff at the Windsor. The facility is so lovely, and I feel like they couldn't be more attentive to our loved one.

Most of the staff are great. A few are extraordinary. Communication is poor between shifts and amoungst staff. Activities are okay, but few outside of the facility. Price is outragious. Just raised prices again. Small apartment rents more than $4500/month.
