Every day there is a full schedule of varied activities. Meals are consistently very good and the service is attentive to the resident’s requests. We are thrilled with Darien Atria and how they have welcomed mom into the community. The help cleaning and setting up the apartment, including hanging tons of pictures, was fantastic. They are extremely responsive to issues and find a way to get to yes. There always seems to be something going on to keep everyone active. The staff is terrific in that they genuinely care about their residents and their broader families. This move has been a great transition for mom. We should have done it much sooner!

I introduced Atria Darien to my good friend as it was recommended to me from others that had visited. Needless to say, the physical structure and decor is a wonderful environment. I felt like I was entering a beautiful hotel or resort. After a wonderful and personable tour, and lunch with some of the residents joining us at our table, my friend moved in by the end of the week. After experiencing disappointments in other residences we were very excited for my friend to be in Darien. Well, that has been just the beginning of joy and comfort for my life long friend. I have since visited my good friend there many times and I am not sure which I enjoy or appreciate more, the residents or staff. The personality and hospitality of both are exceptional. When I visit my friend I feel I am returning home for the holidays. Everyone is warm and cheerful. Every time I visit I make more friends with residents and staff at the same time sharing a wonderful visit with my long time friend. We recently celebrated my good friend’s birthday there. We had a special table provided to us decorated beautifully. We were waited on with grace and elegance beyond compare. My friend and all guests had a celebration to remember. This can only happen because Atria Darien and staff care to take care! I look forward to not only visiting my good friend there, but also visiting with other residents and their visiting families. And yes, seeing all the wonderful staff again. Thank you!

We LOVE Atria Darien but more importantly so does mom! Mom entered the Atria Darien community in 2016 and this month she is turning 100 years old! Mom was hesitant at first moving to Atria Darien but she quickly made friends as everyone is so welcoming and inclusive. The diverse daily activities and events kept her busy, engaged and helped her quickly acclimate to her new community. One of mom’s top criteria in selecting a senior living community was that had good food. Atria Darien quickly checked that box as the meals are outstanding; not just at special occasions but every day. The menu is very diverse and healthy and the food quality is like that a of great restaurant. In fact, our entire family looks forward to special occasions at Atria Darien as the Atria team does a phenomenal job with an expansive selection of wonderful food and creating a festive environment. For us, knowing mom is happy makes us happy but it is the amazing caring staff that ensures she is safe and comfortable that make Atria Darien so great. From the friendly hello at the door to the excellent restaurant experience we have been very pleased. Walking the halls will always get a hi, how are you? and a smile from any of the staff you come across. There are too many wonderful team members to name. Atria Darien is a special place. We are very glad we were lucky enough to find it for mom.

We recently moved my grandmother into Atria and the whole team there has gone above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and welcomed. Michelle and Kate are truly the best. This is the first time my grandmother has lived alone and they were able to ease her nerves and help her make great new friends with other residents. Although, I truly think it's the staff that helped ensure a smooth transition for her, she raves about the food and how beautiful it is there. So overall, we couldn't be happier and want to thank the whole Atria team for welcoming and supporting my grandmother.

The decision to put your parents into an independent or assisted-living facility is always fraught. As soon as I met the wonderful team at Atria Darien, I knew that this would be the right place for my parents. I don’t think there’s a better run place in terms of efficiency, but also general warmth and care provided by every single member of the staff from front desk to restaurant to social work to sales to nursing you can genuinely tell everyone loves working there and loves being a resource for the residents. The premises is absolutely stunning and feels like a combination of a country club or high-end resort and a luxury condominium. I am so grateful to everyone for their support during an extremely difficult time ( both parents with terminal cancer diagnoses- one of whom was diagnosed while we were in process of moving!). I definitely would not have been able to carry this incredibly hard responsibility on my own. if you have the opportunity to have your loved one at the Atria Darien, do not hesitate to do so. you will be so relieved and happy that you did

Atria Darien has been an excellent choice for my father. Initially reluctant, he did a trial for two months, and after 6 weeks, he decided to make it his home. Entering senior living is a challenging transition for anyone to make, but the staff at Atria made it as easy and smooth as it could be. They were so friendly and welcoming right from the start, and have been attentive and responsive as we’ve navigated the transition. Michele, Kate and Amanda have all be so helpful in smoothing the way for us. Additionally, the food is excellent (my father agrees!) and the activities are plentiful and engaging. From the directors, to the dining room staff, to the wellness center, everyone is on board looking out for the residents’ best interests. I would confidently recommend Atria Darien to others considering senior living.

After our dad passed away, it was important for our mom to find a place to live where she could be social, active and safe. It's almost a year since she transitioned to Atria Darien and we couldn't be happier for her. The staff are amazing, from the wonderful ladies who greet you at the front desk (Marge and Bridget) to the dining/kitchen staff, housekeeping, maintenance, nurses(Sharon), aides and lovely admin (Kiki, Kate, Michele, Beth). The community has a mix of completely independent residents and others who may need some assistance. Although our mom lives independently, there have been times she's needed some extra help and the staff has always been on top of it. It gives us peace of mind to see how much everyone cares and to know the support is there if needed. The atmosphere is upbeat, friendly and welcoming. Our mom enjoys the activities and stays busy. I would highly recommend this community for anyone searching for a small, caring residence where everyone knows you. Thank you Darien Atria

My mom felt so welcomed and excited as the entire Atria staff welcomed her during her first day there and they have helped her feel safe, happy and excited to live there! She enjoys it so very much. As a family member, we also enjoy visiting too! I find the facility to be immaculate, bright, and organized, which is very important! The staff are professional and polite and treat everyone with respect and kindness. They are helpful, upbeat and accommodating. Michelle has been extremely helpful, patient and kind and has always returned calls in a very timely manner. We visited many different assisted living communities in the area and Atria of Darien is a 10 out of 10!

I recently had a client of mine tour Atria of Darien. We had toured a few assisted livings, but nothing compares to Atria. Michele Ranieri was so pleasant to work with. She is kind, helpful and extremely warm. The kitchen staff and food are extraordinary! We also spoke with other residents who were happy and thriving. The apartments are spacious and clean. You can tell that Atria has bells and whistles, but they go far beyond appearance with a comforting atmosphere for both residents, family and their staff. Top notch in my opinion!

My dad recently passed away surrounded by loved ones at Atria. He had been a resident for 8 years and was so happy there. He had a great group of friends, was involved in many fun activities and led many himself. He spearheaded the 4:30 pm happy hour and was never a minute late! The staff is amazing - from the front desk to the nurses, aides, cleaning staff, driver, restaurant and admin - everyone is kind, caring, fun and so happy to be a part of the community. My dad chose to be there and had no regrets at all. He immensely enjoyed his days there and at the end, when a brain tumor took control, the support and love from the residents and staff were such a comfort to his large local family. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

After miraculously surviving a health crisis, our beloved father needed to transition from independent living to assisted living. We were able to arrange for him to move into Atria directly from the hospital without needing to move any of his furniture until we all had the chance to take a breather from the prior 6 weeks of hospitalization. Becky, Kate, Susan, and the rest of the team could not have been more responsive, helpful, compassionate, or professional. Since moving into Atria, our father has continued to recover better than any of us could have hoped or anticipated, thanks to Atria’s incredibly supportive and caring environment. Not only is Atria’s in house staff truly excellent, but Becky and her team have fantastic recommendations for any auxiliary needs you or your loved one may have. We feel very lucky that we are part of the Atria family now.

My mother has been at Atria for over two years so I have been there many, many times and have always had a good experience. The physical plant is meticulously maintained and the staff are thoughtful, caring people who are always ready with a friendly greeting. I have been to many other facilities in the area, both as a visitor to other relatives as well as when we were looking to find a place for my mom, and I can say with confidence this is the best I've seen overall. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't at least schedule a visit to check it out.

With much help from the always upbeat Atria-Darien staff, we moved my 89-year-old mother from her home in Massachusetts to Atria-Darien on very short notice right before Thanksgiving 2020. Even through the difficult Covid constraints her room was quickly outfitted, caregivers were brought in, medical and pharmacy contacts were initiated, and the transition was seamless. We, my mother especially, are pleased and grateful.

Would love to pick one person that has helped my dad throughout his stay....IMPOSSIBLE! there is not a day that goes by that someone doesn't go out of their way to make him feel at home, safe and loved. The dining staff is so patient with his "late" breakfast hours and special cream of wheat, alway serving with a smile...Chris in nursing has truly become a friend to him and takes such a personal approach when helping him, Housekeeping is always there and smiling ready to tackle his "home" with consideration and care. Becky, a true blessing, always makes sure he is happy and always goes out of her way to help him with special projects he has...doing everything from personal typing to simply listening to his ideas...Amy, has also taken on the task of typing his articles and does so with such grace and kindness no matter how busy she is. Marge at the front is truly a shinning light. She is always on top of the resident's whereabouts and truly engaged in there daily activities. Bridget is always so cheerful in the evening and so kind to my father, always interested in his daily goings on and a great way to end the day with a cheerful good night. Bobby, my dads personal friend and wonderful driver who makes seeing my mom so easy and special. This list goes on....and a shame to not mention them all. Yes, its impossible to pick one...so, I say ATRIA DARIEN is a single winner!
