My father lived there for nearly 2.5 years, and those days were - at worst - as normal as can be expected when you've got a parent in a memory care unit, and - at best - very special indeed. So much of this is due to the excellent care he received from the staff, and pretty much all of the rest is the facility and grounds itself. We're obviously sad he's no longer with us, but these past years have been so much easier on us all due to the home he had there.

They took great care of my mother. They kept her feed, clean, washed, etc. I did not have worries about her while she was there. I must say though that she fell 10-15 times while there and I was required to hire a private pay home health aide while she was in BGSR.

We recently toured Brighton Gardens of Saddle River with a family member. I was impressed from the initial phone call where we discussed her needs and were kindly invited for a tour. That first interaction set the tone and our positive impression only deepened as we experienced the warmth and attentiveness of the staff throughout the visit. We had the pleasure of meeting with Victoria, the Executive Director, whose ability to connect with my cousin was remarkable. She recognized the unique challenges ahead (my cousin is younger than the typical assisted living resident) and she addressed those potential challenges with both compassion and confidence in her community’s ability to meet her needs. Seeing our cousin feel so welcomed and at ease meant the world to us. The thoughtful, attentive approach continued throughout the tour, reinforcing our sense that this is a community that truly listens and cares. As we toured the community, I noticed how staff interacted with the residents and each other. What stood out was the genuine happiness and camaraderie among the team. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, not just to my cousin, but to our whole family. That kind of warmth can’t be faked, and it made a lasting impression. One especially heartwarming detail is they welcome pets, making it feel even more like home. We’re genuinely looking forward to our cousin having a caring, supportive place to call home!

I can't say enough about Brighton Gardens of Saddle River!! I had to find a home for my father quickly and I toured many places. They all were pretty and well kept, but the minute I walked into Brighton Gardens I knew we had found the place for my dad. The staff are what sets this place apart from all the others. They know every resident by name and take such amazing care of them. But they also take care of us, the families of the residents. I constantly hear, "Don't worry, we will take care of it, you have enough to worry about." My father is in memory care and I feel like I have gained more family members with the staff of Brighton Gardens. My dad is happy and cared for and that is the biggest gift they have given me. I am so happy we found the best home for my dad.

Our mother never wanted to leave her home. So imagine how delighted we were when (with time) she was participating in activities, enjoying meals and engaging with residents. Brighton Gardens of Saddle River was the perfect match for our mother. Their gentle, caring and respectful approach provided her an ideal environment. BG/SR became her "home". Our mother passed away recently after living at BG for eighteen months. We are indebted to BG for making her final experience safe and enjoyable.

My family and I recently had to make the tough decision to find an assisted living home for my Mom. If you are in this position, you know how difficult it can be. Throughout the process of visiting different facilities, I walked into Brighton Gardens and was greeted by the most incredible staff. I am a registered nurse and know exactly the type of environment I was looking for for my Mom. The entire staff exudes positivity and care. Rose Gutierrez, Director of Sales, has been absolutely INCREDIBLE throughout this entire process. She has consistently gone over and above the call of duty, making sure EVERYTHING is just right for my Mom. I never felt alone, uninformed, or disconnected. Every move from obtaining medical information from doctors, purchasing and planning furniture delivery, to alleviating the anxiety my Mom was feeling with this big life change, was met with dedicated, individual attention and care by Rose Gutierrez, Victoria Priore, and the devoted Brighton Gardens staff. I am wholeheartedly grateful for the dedication and care the Brighton Garden’s staff delivers to their residents everyday. This place and these dedicated individuals feel like HOME.

We recently moved a family member into the Memory Care wing at Brighton Gardens Saddle River and could not be happier with the care she has received. The staff have been so welcoming and attentive not only to her but to us family members as well. I really appreciate the quality care and attention given to my mother. I’ve worked in facilities in the past and know what to look for. My mother Never smells, Never looks disheveled and Never shows signs of distress or discomfort when I visit. All the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect. Our mother has been treated with care and dignity. She was well cared for first in Assisted Living and now in her transition to the memory unit. Doing FaceTime with her helps a lot . Lennie has kept us updated regarding our mother’s transition to the memory unit.

I brought my mother here initially for a few months respite care while I underwent cancer treatments; I brought her back a year later for permanent residency in their Memory Care Unit when she became too feeble to help care for herself. They are simply the kindest and most dedicated group of professionals in elder care that I could ever hope to meet. Their facility is lovely, reminiscent of an old world hotel, and sparkling clean. The nurses and aides adopted my cranky mother, cozening her with treats to encourage her to eat. The burden they lifted off my shoulders was incredible; I never had to worry. I will be forever grateful for the compassionate caring they gave my mother during the last years of her life.

When my father needed more care than he could receive at home, I was overwhelmed. As the only surviving family member, I felt anxious and alone. I brought him to tour Brighton Gardens and cried as I ate my complimentary lunch. It was a sunny Autumn day, but darkness closed in on me as my dad insisted that he remain at home; There are too many old people here he reasoned (without irony). However, the experience, patience, support and understanding we received from the staff convinced me that this move was best for him. Dad has been there for three and a half years now, and I have never second guessed my decision. The staff has been there for both of us through the different stages of my father's illness providing a safe, familiar and stimulating home environment. With their dedication, guidance and advice, I no longer am in this by myself. We have a big family of compassionate loving people.

I was totally overwhelmed when looking for an assisted living facility for my parents two years ago. Victoria, at Brighton Gardens, helped every step along the way and made their move possible. She did everything from helping me with paperwork and evaluations to greeting my parents at 3:00 am when they arrived from OK after experiencing flight delays. My parents have and are receiving excellent care; it is obvious that the staff sees each resident as an individual and treats each of them with respect. The nursing staff is very responsive; they alway answer my questions and keep a close eye on the residents, noticing if someone isn't feeling well. The director is very caring and interacts well with the residents. I have peace of mind now that my parent live at Brighton Gardens. They are in good hands!

After researching nursing homes we were pleasantly surprised to find this place! We thought Assisted Living would be more eexpensive but it was half the price with much better accommodations & care. The staff was very attentive & truly cared about it mom. I highly recommend this place!
