We took my grandmother there because she needed a facility that would meet the levels of care she needed and would work with hospice. The nurses were kind but the aides all had major attitudes and made my grandma feel like an inconvenience. The food was subpar (serving $#!+ on a shingle several meals in a row). They lost my grandma's DNR papers so they sent her to the hospital, prolonging her death. The nurses and administrators really did seem to care for the residents, but unfortunately overall it wasn't a great place, especially for a loved one's end of life.

Im working at an assisted living community but I would love to come and work here one day!!!!! Ive heard nothing but good about this specific community and the people are phenomenal at what they do!

I previously worked as a resident care aide with Brookdale Barberton for 1 year, I left to work in my degree field for a little over a year and I always regretted leaving Brookdale Barberton. In August of this year I was given a huge opportunity to return to Brookdale Barberton as the Resident Activities Coordinator. I can not express how much I love my job, my residents and my Brookdale family. We all work so well together and it shows, our residents are happy and having fun. We put our all into this and it shows. I have to give huge kudos to all of our staff for becoming one and focusing on our main goal.... keeping our residents and families happy!!!!

good place. My grandpa stays here. they are very nice but sometimes my aunt has to get on them about stuff they should be doing for him. but other than that its great.

Things have gone very well with Sterling House so far, they've done a great job. They really go the extra mile to make sure that the residents needs are met. My loved one has some specific care needs, and they've been more than accommodating when it comes to working with us to get them taken care of.

The Director knew nothing of the appt. but was glad to show me around. Very nice place, but they were not medicade approved. I do have to keep that in mind. Plus there is a waiting list. She did give me a name of a nearby community who is medicade approved. All in all a good visit.
