The Memory Care unit is not the best. The evening staff is not professional, they vape freely ,and half the time they don’t get along . The food is horrible and not properly prepared and a certain cook serves horrible looking plates . Housekeeping does a half fast job . the showers need to be tore out and redone in Memory Care (& the Assisted living side.) It’s a very outdated building. New management took over. Rent goes up, with no new accommodations. The facility is very homey , but definitely needs new renovations. I would be disappointed if I had family in this Memory Care facility.

Tina and Kim are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! They gave my husband and I a tour of their facility which felt very comfortable and inviting. There were specific areas for their residents to sit and interact with each other as well as a beautiful courtyard, which we were told is a favorite place for a lot of the residents.

My mom and dad lived here 1 1/2 years. Management appears to care about your family, however, their need for profit surpasses the care once your resident has moved in. Orchard Park is a For-Profit assisted living community. I am for bussinesses. However, you will see management does not hide their priority is making a profit for their owners and shareholders. Management is not able to balance out business along with expressing the importance of their residents. For-profit facilities have a stronger focus on the bottom line, which may lead to lower staffing levels and poor dining experiences. Orchard Parks on site management goal to generate profit for investors and shareholders is emphasized by their focus of photo shoots, commercials, Monday staff meetings when management is not avaliable to residents or family. They even close out residents schedueled activity spaces and plug in videos in other spaces (when remembered) to assure their meetings are a priority. I know staff meetings and communication are important. Management seems to forget that their "offiice" is many persons home. OP is Amaccountable to a board of directors and shareholders. The communities celebrations for residents are around the facilities 100% capacity versus residents "come to a meet and greet to get to know your neighbors". Management has incentive to cut costs, which effects staffing ratio, care quality and dining experience. In 1 1/2 years, they went through four Office Managers and over four "chefs". I cannot even begin to express the difficulty in dealing with that many Office Managers and in consistancies. When Mom and Dad first moved in there were more than 1/2 of the rooms unoccupied. By the time they moved out, the facility was 100% occupied and there had not been an increase in Caregivers. It was a weekly battle to assure their laundry was done AND returned to them. In addition to keeping up with where their laundry was at, getting their linens changed once a week was next to impossible. They have systems in place for the Caregivers to go into the computer and note the completion of showers etc. We experienced these activities being checked off and not actually occurring. It is usually due to your resident "not being able to remember" according to staff. We installed a camera and were able to see the showering etc. Not happening and being marked that it had. Food quantity and quality was affected with these issues. Watered down juices or sometimes no choices. No refills on drinks offered. If a resident can find someone to request a refill, butter, jelly etc. Staff was very unhappy while serving and made it uncomfortable. The place settings often consist of using a serving spoon to eat with. This can be difficult for eldery to navigate. In conclusion, there is not a balance of running a business and remembering managements Office is quiet a few persons forever home.

Lovely community with caring staff. I have watched the staff and the management team go above and behind for the residents that live here. No place is perfect, but they are always available to answer questions and concerns from families. Taking care of a loved one is not always easy. They help to take the stress off the families as much as possible while loving all the residents.

We have been very pleased with the care at Orchard Park. There are so many amazing people who make it all happen like Tina and Stephanie. The PT (Pepe) and PA (Olivia) that work with OP are amazing as well. Mother always brags about how wonderful the food is also. There are also so many fun activities offered.

It is never easy when you have to move a loved to memory care, however, with the help of Tina and the staff at Orchard Park, they helped make the transition easier for our family. Ava, Gina and Seefo were amazing with her while she was transitioning from the assisted living portion to the memory care. We weren't sure how our mom would do in memory care, but with her Alzheimer's progressing, it has turned out to be a much better fit for her. Lori, Chris and Dariius have been good with her too. So far the staff has been very accommodating for our family and we appreciate it.

We're so pleased with our decision to have my mom reside at Orchard Park. Although she's only been there a short time, we immediately felt it was the right choice after looking at other options. When I had to find a place fast to put the Madre in a memory care facility, Orchard Park stepped up to the plate. I have had several friends who have put their loved ones in a memory care facility and they have seen where the Madre is and they all say how nice and clean it is! The staff cares and watches out for the health of the residents.

After touring several assisted living homes with my mother, Orchard Park was the obvious choice for her. Now, after several weeks of her living there, we know that we made the right choice. My mom’s diet & appetite has now improved. The food is great; I’ve had several meals with her there. She’s far more social & truly enjoys the new friends she has made. Orchard Park has the most outdoor space of any other place we toured & my mom loves spending time outside. The entire facility is clean & smells great. We have been very pleased with Orchard Park. It is a very welcoming, clean facility and the staff has done a great job helping us every step of the way. The caregivers are great at encouraging the residents and Mom has already attended some activities and made some friends. Orchard Park is THE BEST! We just finished moving in my mother-in-law over the weekend and she couldn’t be happier! We looked at several other assisted living facilities while trying to choose and once we came to Orchard Park we knew we found the one. The employees really set it apart from the others and I feel like everyone we’ve met genuinely cares about each resident. Orchard Park feels like home. It’s gorgeous and clean, smells great, and just feels more like a home than a doctors office or hotel like the others did. We are so happy with Orchard Park. We helped my mother move in about 13 months ago. Since then, Orchard Park has been absolutely amazing. The staff are genuinely caring and professional. The quality of care has not wavered. In fact, it has only gotten better. They make her feel like family. Because of the gentle reminders to eat and hydrate, my mother’s dementia progression has slowed considerably. She has lots of friends and is now serving as Ambassador. The medical techs are wonderful and we love Theresa, the Activity Director. Tina, is by far the reason we chose Orchard Park instead of another assisted living. She is the most knowledgeable and responsive. She’s been there for us, even when we’ve had to text her after hours. I highly recommend Orchard Park!

When we were looking for memory care for my wife's 89 year old 'second mom,' we looked at a number of places before deciding upon Kyle Orchard Park. The choice of location was not made lightly as she has been a very important member of our family for years. I have been sharing a Music hour with Orchard Park residents every Tuesday for the past four years. We have printed sets of music that cover 7 decades: Hymns, Patriotic Songs, Oldies and Goodies, Christmas Songs, and Western and Broadway Melodies, so we vary our 60 minutes each week. There are about 12-14 participants.We also concentrate on posture, deep breathing & a little body movement to the rhythm. Sharing the hour also means that I get as much or more out of this lovely group as I put in. We often share a story or two between songs. Our average number of songs ranges from 15-20 during our 60 minutes. Teresa is a wonderful activities director and usually has popcorn & juice waiting. Today I brought tiny 2.5 oz cups of home-churned Buttermilk ice cream to snack time, so we had an extra treat. It brought back past memories to share. My Chapel in the Hills Ladies Guild in Wimberley, where I have directed and played 52 years, answered my plea for funds for a new electric piano for Orchard Park three yrs ago. It is a real blessing in that it will transpose to more comfortable keys for older voices. It is my joy and pleasure to share my love of music with these Orchard Park residents. Specifically want to commend the staff and especially, Tina, the Community Relations Coordinator, on how accommodating they were during the admission process for my Mom. We live 3 hours away, so being able to complete all the paperwork and assessments remotely/virtually was a huge help. Orchard Park was the cleanest and friendliest place I checked out. Tina and the staff have done everything they can to making the move for my mother the most pleasant experience. My mother is adjusting wonderfully and I believe it is all due to the staff. They put their heart into loving each person in their care. I haven’t run into a frown yet. My husband and I toured Orchard Park last week looking for a home for my mom. It was bright, clean and the rooms plus amenities were great! The director and entire staff we met that day were very friendly, cheerful and courteous. We could tell they had a handle on their job and felt it would be a very safe environment for mom!

We had a very positive tour at Orchard Park of Kyle. Tina was pleasant and very informative. She patiently answered all our questions and showed us everything we wanted to see. Her follow up and feedback was excellent and I would highly recommend her as well as the facility.

Nancy, the some l time receptionist often goes way, way out of her way to do things for Mom that she can’t With no desire for recognition or acknowledgment she is forever going above and beyond. Like Mom says, I can remember her name because it starts with N, like nice.
