Perfect curated image. [name removed] manager whole staff Slick. Certain tenants are given special treatment and consideration. Others they harass. They let other bullies tenants harass them like I. [name removed] a tenant given special privileges. But it the CNAs who intimidate. Exercise room was promised. They rented out to company! Can't get in. They locked it up . Want you to sign up. Not unsupervised. Terrible. Food garbage Hispanic. Miser on snacks. The activity director useless. She like head nurse runs away from their position never there. She could only do certain hours in the area. The tenant constantly slamming door across from me. They CNA [name removed] and [name removed] intimidated me. Susan wright elderly woman is knocked down in dining room and harass in dining room. The food almost choked me . Hispanic and greasy gravy. Elder abuse . The elevator was broken. I got banged up inside. They cover up here . Another fell in bathroom. He can't say anything about it. Terrible prison. And no backyard. Charge you for everything they could

Before I came here, I was at Riverside Residence and the woman in the room next to me was smoking. She kept denying it, and they couldn’t catch her in the act,, which is crazy! She kept smoking in her room! The administration acted like it was my fault. I was very glad to come here. I have a bigger room. The maintenance guts come very quickly. The CNA’s are very nice and helpful. At RR there was only 1 caregiver, no caregiver at night, and they charged for every little thing.

When I'm out and about with some friends and I say well. I'm going to head home now. They said well we thought you live at Heritage and I said well I do and that's my home. I couldn't be in a better place with better people.

I have lived here for nearly 6 years. I’ve gotten wonderful care here. Three meals a day, a nice apartment, employees who care and they take care of laundry and cleaning. Many activities to choose from and most importantly I’ve made some great friendships.

Everyone at Heritage Woods McHenry has made it a wonderful transition into a supportive living facility for my dad; he is so happy here. Julie Komorous has been so helpful with all of the processes involved, and guided us every step of the way. I have peace of mind knowing that my dad has caring individuals watching for his best interests, and communicating with me as needed.

What an amazing facility! My mom has been living here for almost 2 years now and the associates who work here, have been such a delight to work with. The facility is clean. They do so many fun activities with the residents.

I would proudly like to say that Heritage Woods of McHenry has done an incredible job of empathy and care for my mother. She has been a resident, and it is approaching four years, and in that time, there have been so many moments where their help has been nothing short of amazing! The staff are caring, wonderful people! I would highly recommend Heritage Woods of McHenry for so many reasons! The Place Is Alright, But When I Lived There The Staff, And Especially The Director Blamed Me For The Harassment I Was Subjected To

Recently I have noticed this facility becoming to look like more of nursing home than assisted living. Many more people wheelchair bound or in automated wheelchairs. These people require more care than the typical assisted living person. Also the housekeeping staff is not keeping up with keeping the residents apartments clean. My parents Apt. Not dusted, vacuumed, and the bathroom has not been cleaned regularly. Very disappointed.

My brother’s studio apartment at Heritage Woods was just adorable. The facility is in a very charming neighborhood. The building is attractive and well maintained. The dining room and the food were very good. The staff was so professional and attentive and sensitive to a person settling into assisted living. My brother was happy at Heritage Woods and I am eternally grateful to the staff who made this happen.

I had an appointment today at 1:00 today, May 20, 2022 with Laura Adams for a tour of the McHenry, IL facility. After waiting 15 minutes, I was told Laura wouldn't be there all weekend. The reception area had very loud music blaring. Finally, I managed to get the attention of a worker who didn't even speak English. No one was at the reception desk. He called Laura. She told him she was sick and had been since Thursday. After that call, he used every excuse in the book excusing her. Why didn't she call me? Why didn't she reschedule this tour. It WAS very important to me. I recently had 5 back surgeries, and getting out of the house is a major task. And, she didn't even have the common courtesy to call me. It doesn't get any more unprofessional and unacceptable than that. The area was dirty. Employees walking around with masks half on and half off, if on at all. I'm sure some state facility would shut down that place fast if they saw what I saw.

My mom has been at Heritage Woods of McHenry for three years and I am extremely grateful for the staff who are all so kind and caring. Because of COVID restrictions and not being able to personally visit her, they have each done all the heavy lifting these past 11 months; from providing emotional support and laughter, celebrations, healthcare, and help with things she needed in her apartment “ all with a genuine spirit of compassion and kindness. Mom recently spent a few weeks in a rehab facility and the level of care was strikingly diminished. Thank you Heritage for who each of you are and the great work you are doing!

I'm sad to see poor reviews, as my mom has lived here for over a year now. The residents are well looked after, communication is top notch, the environment is clean, homey, warm and welcoming. Any concerns we have regarding our mom are addressed quickly and with care. It's a wonderful place and my sister and I have been so thankful that we were able to get our mom moved in. We don't worry about her a bit because we know she is living in a safe, friendly, caring place.
