I was admitted to St Joseph at the beginning of March 2026 malnourished and just having had a hip replacement if it wasn’t for the loving care of the nursing staff, Especially Amanda, Jen, and Allie the wonderful aids, especially Aubrey Marie and Mirium And the wonderful therapy staff, especially Hannah and Jules I would not be walking today. They are amazed people there they care about their patients not only physically, but emotionally I would recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy. Or recovery after surgery they are the best

Saint Joseph’s Villa stepped in during one of the most challenging transitions our family has faced, and I truly cannot say enough about the care they provided. They worked diligently to help move my 90-year-old mother from an acute care setting into long-term care”no small task, especially given that she had been living independently at home up until that point. What could have been an overwhelming and difficult adjustment was made smoother through the staff’s genuine kindness, patience, and ability to connect with her as a person. Because of that, my mom settled into her new environment far more quickly than we expected. The team has not only cared for her needs but has kept her meaningfully engaged and active. It’s clear they are intentional about creating purpose and routine for their residents. While this was a significant life change, I truly believe she is doing as well as she is today because of the loving attention she receives from this staff. We are incredibly grateful for the compassion and dedication shown every day at Saint Joseph’s Villa.

For almost two years, the respiratory team cared for my adult stepson who was unable to move voluntarily or communicate with us except through his involuntary expressions, as a result of s serious TBI. The staff opersted under the assumption he could hear and understand him. I have cherished memories of RT Ginger joking with him and getting.a rare smile in return, of Andrea singing her ranchera songs to him, and of PT Heather looking straight into his eyes as my stepson responded to her prompts”amazing. The CNA staff was incredibly devoted. Each staff member shared some aspect of themselves, and I believe that helped our son feel seen and loved. Our beloved son and brother has since passed away, but it gave us tremendous comfort to know that when we could not be there, the St, Joe’s staff would be looking after him.

We are grateful.and feel blessed that my mother Marilyn White was welcomed to St. Joseph's Villa on October 3,2024. Unfortunately her entry started out with a mishap in the case of a missing valuable & sentimental personal artical of clothing. On this same day she arrived to the villa she had just been released from the U of U hospital and I have confirmed with their staff that she departed wearing the same items that she arrived by ambulance in . Having days earlier just taken of the tags in total value equaling over $79.00 of my hard earned money. I sent her to wear it for the first time to the U of U emergency & then onto St Joseph's so that she would feel comfortable & confident in a hospital setting. Upon arrival to St. Joseph's she recalls very clearly that the attending nurse on staff at that time helped her off with her blouse & into a hospital gown. This item has since been missing from her closet in RM.1236. I have been told that it could possibly be in laundry but that was over 4 days ago W/ no sign of it nor real help with return. Please address this issue of valued personal item missing or (taken ? ) because it is so upsetting to my Mother and I and we can not afford to replace it. Also so that the return of it would sucure our faith in your staff and facility with out having a sence of loss. I hope to post very positive review in resolution to this personal & ethical matter!

Hi I would like to say this is my third time of being here and every time that I've been here everyone has been so kind and so compassionate. The place is very clean and the physical therapy and occupational therapy therapists are fantastic! I would like to thank Chris in occupational therapy and Bavi in physical therapy for the fantastic help that they have given me to take home with me. Also Josh, I can't remember if he was occupational or physical Therapy but he was awesome! Now for the rest of everyone on the third floor nurses and CNAs I just want to thank you so much for you being so kind and compassionate and having patience with me. I can only hope that others see you all as I see you. If somebody has anything bad to say about this place I can't imagine what it would be because St Joseph Villa in my book is a five star facility! I will be back in a couple of months when I have my other shoulder replaced looking forward to seeing everyone again. God bless each and every one of you in Jesus name I pray amen.

My brother was sent to St. Joseph’s for two weeks as a rehabilitation patient after a hospitalization. Because he lived alone, I was helping monitor his care from afar. All of the staff, nurses, case manger, pt, attending physician were very conscientious and took a great deal of time to call me directly to discuss his condition. They were always up to date in on how he was doing. I was very impressed by their attentiveness and proactive approach. I credit his ultimate recovery to their vigilance and quality of care.

After my father in law was neglected in a different facility which resulted in him needing emergency surgery we moved him to St Joseph Villa and were immediately impressed with them. The administration talked us through every step and made his transition so easy. When my husband and I first arrived at the facility we stepped off the elevator and were greeted by some of the most friendly people who were happy to help us find where we were going. In the three months my father in law had been there we have grown to love all the workers there. They all have shown such kindness and compassion to not only their patients but those visitors as well. They answered all our questions and concerns right away. They kept us informed as to progress and what we could do to help get him stronger so he could return home as well. Not only did we encounter workers that were happy and kind the other residents were just as kind and happy. You could tell they were happy being there as well. I highly recommend St Joseph Villa to anyone who is looking for a rehab facility for either themselves or a loved one, that 3rd floor staff will provide you with extraordinary care!

The care was outstanding and so also was the physical therapy Everyone went above and beyond to give her the best of the best in care and love and kindness and compassion and understanding. I would give the same rating for the majority of the aides & nurses. Not so much for the night shift. Food is adequate but carb heavy when it should be protein. I was there for the therapy, not the food and the therapy is definitely top notch. ‘

I love this campus. Such a great community for seniors. My close friend started out in the Independent Living and as her health declined she was able to transfer into the skilled nursing. She loved that she was able to continue to utilize the same great therapy team throughout the entire campus. I would give their staff a 10, you really have to have a big heart to do what they do. We also enjoyed the cute little gift shop on campus. It is so fun for the residents, staff, and family members to shop while visiting their loved ones. Oh and I can't fail to mention the Chapel she was able to marry her sweetheart while in care.

My adult son went to St.Joseph Villa in 2018 with many complicating disabilities: he was blind, had limited speech, had mobility and swallow issues. From day one we were embraced by the staff and received personal care. The nursing staff were excellent, CNA's were kind and caring, support staff from nutrition, occupational therapy, rehab, respiratory and the Chaplain and management were all top notch. Throughout his 5 year stay he was treated like he was special. Many of the staff not just did their jobs but befriended him. The staff was open and in contact with me concerning any issues and alerting me if he was having a hard day. Their communication with family was exemplary, He passed away on July 2, 2023 after his condition reached his final limit. I will forever be grateful that they were part of our lives for these past 5 years.

My sister lived at St Josephs' for a few months. In fact she had stayed there a few times in her life. She called it a vacation stay away from home. She had so much fun, always looking forward to each activity. Best activity team in town, she would always say. She made life-long friends with other residents who she was able to relate to. She always complimented the staff on how they helped her, cared for her and treated her always with kindness and a smile. The meals were a comfort to her, she'd look forward to everything on the menu. The gift shop was her favorite, she was excited to see all the new items go up. The seasonal items were her weakness. God bless the state of the art therapy team there at the Villa who helped her regain her strength. She eventually graduated and was able to go home. Her main goal was to make it home in time for mom's birthday and the holidays with her kids. I remember when she first got home she cried she wanted to go back to the Villa, she said it was just so much fun there and she had so many friends. She said mom made her do stuff at home!! LOL On behalf of Jamie V and her family we thank you St Joseph Villa, we are forever in your debt. We can never forget the miracles you created for my sister and our family. Part of her last memories were of her fun time(s) spent there. We cannot thank you enough! God Bless!!

St. Joseph’s Villa has been an amazing place to have my grandparents. Coming in as a rehab patient and eventually moving to full time care, the staff has been amazing through each phase. You can’t walk through the halls without being welcomed with a smile and hello with every staff member you come in contact with! Anya is amazing at communicating with each of us on the care and updates on medications. Eddie, Ricardo, Caesar, Jose and Anjana have provided care beyond compare. They are attentive to the needs of the patients, and always ensure each patient has dignity. The entire activity staff has made grandpa’s days with the many activities that are entertaining and make him so excited. After grandma’s passing, they kept close eye on him, and kept him entertained to help him transition into his new normal. The maintenance staff has been amazing at making things feel like home, and have assisted us many times to ensure this is the case! We truly are grateful for the care and love that each staff member provides to grandpa!

Recently, the recreation therapy team through a luau party with cupcakes, and Hawaiian dancing choreographed by one of their all star CNA’s! It was touching to watch the residents dress up and dance with her, you could feel the joy it brought everyone from the other side of the building. The leadership team at St. Joes is unlike any other I’ve seen. They come together every month and put on a BQQ for the residents and their family’s! If you ever tour the building I’m sure you’ll hear about the second floor unit manager Jo. He goes above and beyond for his residents which makes him highly admired amongst residents and staff. If you ever visit, I hope the overall morale of St. Joe’s touches you the most.

My father was in an assisted living facility and later in a long term care facility. I wish he could have been in a facility like St Joseph Villa! I have visited there many times and have found the staff to be very caring and compassionate. From CNAs to therapists and nurses, they go the extra mile to do special small things that can mean so much to someone in a skilled nursing facility. Be it getting their favorite soda, a walk outside, or taking the time to chat and acknowledge an individual. Thank you Jo for being an advocate for your patients, and caring about the quality of care! I think the other reason that St. Joes is such a great place is that the administration is very supportive of the staff. Having worked in healthcare I know how important this is. I’m 50/50 on this place for a few reasons. One, I know my family member sent here was a difficult patient. For the most part I heard decent things about the food (for awhile) and some of the therapists clearly helped her become discharged. However, she came out of the place looking completely malnourished and lost so much weight. I don’t feel they communicated with family enough about her refusals to eat / medication. The building is nice & clean, there’s lots of good things to say. But the direct staff should be more communicative with family and reassess the patients who are clearly declining due to fixable issues.

This is an incredible facility. St Joseph’s Villa is an incredible facility. Their team ranges from new hires up to 20+ years of loyalty to the facility. The team at St Joe’s provides excellent care with the clinical outcomes to prove it. Along with your standard Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care, St Joe’s offers a Respiratory Unit, In House Dialysis, and Assisted Living. The cherry on top is that St Joe’s has maintained an agency free campus during this medical staffing shortage. St Joe’s continues to be an amazing partner to the community and the Acute Hospitals of Utah and neighboring states.
