For the money you pay Baylake it is nothing special. They do not take care of some of their good employees. It is so sad. Their nurse director does not care and does nothing. The owners nor upper management listen to residents or family members concerns. All concerns fall on death ears. I would go somewhere else.

I can’t say enough good things about Bay Lake in Virginia Beach. The team here is truly amazing, and you can feel how much they care the moment you walk in. Catie, the Executive Director, does an incredible job leading the community. She’s approachable, kind, and clearly so dedicated to both the residents and her team. Olivia, the Memory Care Director, is just as wonderful. She has such a heart for what she does and treats every resident with so much patience and compassion. It really shows. Rachel, the Wellness Coordinator, brings so much energy and positivity. She keeps residents engaged and makes sure they are taken care of and that there is something always meaningful going on. And Brittany in the office is fantastic”super helpful, organized, and always quick to respond. She helps everything run smoothly behind the scenes and she is so so kind! Overall, this is a place you can feel really good about. The team truly cares, and it makes all the difference. Highly recommend!

All the staff at Bay Lake have been wonderful with my mother. She had some heath issues that made her entry into assisted living challenging. Bay Lake was helpful and attentive and took care of all of her needs. She is doing great and loving it there.

We moved my aunt into Bay Lake one year ago and it was the best decision we've made. It is a beautiful clean environment with a caring staff that went out of their way to make my aunt feel welcome and at home. . The food and dining room crew are excellent. Everyone is very friendly and the environment is upbeat and positive. She has adjusted very well and we feel good knowing she is well taken care of 24 /7. We love visiting her here because we feel like family and are always welcomed with hugs and smiles.

What a lovely, warm establishment! We were considering placing a loved one here, so Rachael gave us a tour around. Rachel was so naturally sweet while also incredibly knowledgeable on the facility, area, and all of the residents - we really felt like our gam gam would be in great hands with her around. Give that girl a raise! The rest of the staff was overall very friendly and the residents seemed very happy.

My sister pays very good money and she is so unhappy . I do not recommend this Asisisted Living facility to anyone. The director told her the other day that he was thinking of putting her out on the street I dont care what your mental condition is you dont talk to people like that . She calls and is crying on the phone . I suggest that the staff have more empathy for patients They dont do much for the patients. Please research before you would decide to come to this place.

I was able to attend the Bay Lake Retirement open house last month. The facility is absolutely beautiful and in such an incredible location - blocks from the bay. As soon as I entered the community I was greeted with a smile. Everyone I met at the open house was so warm and welcoming. I learned about all of the free events open to the public and was blown away by how many community oriented the residence is. Pets are welcome and they even have dog walkers. The grounds are gorgeous. Definitely take a tour!

Such a great community, upon walking in, it felt like home. The Concierge Lisa greeted us asking what she could help us with. The entire staff was friendly and the residents all were relaxed and happy. Sam the executive director was very professional and knew all staff and residents we encountered by name. WOW! Cannot say enough about this assisted living community. I was extremely hesitant putting my mother in any assisted living facility, but Bay Lake made the decision so easy to make after our first tour. We are so pleased with everything at BayLake. Everyone is friendly, helpful and caring. The residents are eager to welcome new people as well which made it so easy to move my MIL there. She made friends the first day and loves her new home. She is so happy there. The ambiance is wonderful - bright and cheerful. Staff takes pride in getting to know the residents and their families.

We did not meet a single person that was not super helpful and friendly. We just moved our Mom into Bay Lake a couple of weeks ago and all of her children are very pleased. Bay Lake Community/Assisted Living has a fabulous staff. Our greeting to the facility was welcoming and everyone was so friendly and ready to assist us with all our questions and concerns. The living facility is laid out in a manner where you feel like you’re in a large home. Once outside your room you’re surrounded by activities and friendly people. My biggest compliment is for the staff and how they treated us. Their customer service is outstanding and after our initial visit we knew this was the place for our mom to be. Since moving in at the beginning of May, Dad has thrived. The facility is beautiful, well maintained and the staff is excellent. The activities director keeps them moving, shaking and thinking. I've been to quite a few assisted living facilities and Bay Lake stands out in many aspects with its first class amenities along with exceptional caregiver support with great Healthcare feedback for loved ones. I would highly recommend this assisted living facility for my grandparents or any family members as its first class in the areas you would want for your loved ones. Great in-house Therapy Team & All staff is ready to help when needed. The culinary Department with making meals is second to none with dining amenities and quality of food of a five-star restaurant! Definitely in the upper echelon of assisted living facilities with everything it has to offer. Should be on anyone's list looking for high quality assisted living and Memory Care for their loved ones.
