Such an amazing community. Their attention to detail is far more superior in today’s guidance and protocols. I feel that safety is their number one goal! This community is a must see, the newly renovated community is state of the art and their specific eye to detail definitely checked off all of our boxes! Lets start with our open classes offered in the fitness center, to the extensive programming with the guest speakers, to the book club and high end entertainers, finished with the elegant open restaurant dining options - this place is like a grounded cruise ship with the bonus of “healthcare” options if and when needed. Wingate on the EAST SIDE Is the only place for Assisted living in Providence!

My friend and client moved into Wingate about 6 months ago and Vincent and Misty have helped him to settle in so beautifully. Very supportive in every way you could need. It was comforting knowing that my client was well cared about. They have gone above and beyond in helping us to work out the details of daily routines and adjusting to the new environment being very patient with him and us as we learned the where’s and how’s of Wingate Residence ran. The staff in nursing and dining are wonderful and caring. Front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful and the maintenance staff always willing to help with issues and room needs. Very pleasant and loving environment and the facility is immaculate as well as very organized. Thank you Wingate for your impeccable care and for making our experience one worthy of high praise.

Wingate on the Eastside has such a friendly atmosphere. I've been in the building on numerous occasions to visit a family member and everyone is so welcoming and accommodating every time. I would highly recommend to anyone for a loved one to stay at.

My 88 year old Mom stayed at Wingate for three weeks following a scare with her heart. The staff was AMAZING. The food was AMAZING. PRIOR To July 4th weekend the culinary staff was seen wheeling red white and blue parfaits outside to residents waiting for a holiday concert to start. The dining hall looks like a resort. And people can choose from the menus or request custom meals! You could go to an expensive restaurant and not get better food or service! The rooms were beautiful and the atmosphere was comforting and bright. I highly recommend Wingate!

My uncle (who has essentially been the only father figure in my life) has been living in Wingate for almost a year. It took two years of searching for the best senior residence for my him, but we're glad we didn't settle for any less. Wingate is a prime example of when beauty, intelligence, respect, friendship and loving-kindness are brought together on behalf of any community -- in this case, a senior residence. The staff of Wingate have come together to provide a level of care that I can't recall ever seeing since my days in private school or university. Each one of the senior residents are integrated into the activities that Wingate offers so that their bodies and minds are well nurtured. My uncle has a group of friends that he was so connected with before COVID. The food at Wingate is excellent, on par with any restaurant in the area. I always enjoy myself when I can join my uncle for a meal. I'm completely confident that my uncle is being cared for by the Wingate staff in every way. It seems hard to believe that a senior residence like Wingate exists. I can only suggest checking it out for your family.

We could not have found a more caring, well-managed and safe community for our mother than Wingate on the East Side. As my sibling and I both live far away, we are so grateful for how Vincent and the Wingate staff have gone over and above what is necessary to ensure that our Mother has been safe and well-cared for, especially during the pandemic. I want to capture a few words of reflection to the excellent care provided to my mother-in-law while at her three week stay at the Wingate Residences East Side. She had fallen with an injury and her care needs had increased. She spent time in the beautiful facility. The entire staff during all our visits, at all times were respectful, kind and compassionate to her. The management and leadership team were outstanding! I've had several experiences throughout R.I. facilities as my parents required assistance for their health needs. I will say nothing compares to Wingate East! When you mentioned my mother-in-laws name through the facility, she was so well known! It brought smiles to everyone, not to mention the happy comforting feeling we got! She loved being surrounded by the entire staff and residents. She truly embraced all the wonderful amenities, activities, endless services and all her food choices! Thank you to everyone at Wingate East. Keep doing what you're doing! I would highly recommend Wingate for all services!

My father moved in in late May 2021 - and (as expected) he was not happy about it. That's changed, in large part thanks to the excellent staff - both the nursing/healthcare staff and the dining room team. My father's hearing is poor, and his memory is not what it was - but the staff are patient, respectful and good-natured when assisting him. The staff know the residents, and greet them by name. Management is helpful and responsive when questions arise; staff do a good job of resolving most issues (burnt out lightbulbs, or food not as expected, or any of the myriad minor problems of life), The place is well maintained and kept clean (I have experience with relatives in other assisted living centers & SNFs , and Residences on the East Side is among the best). A special note on the food - the food is good to very good. I'm more than happy to join my father for a meal there. There's a good selection - daily specials, as well a a selection of stand-bys. My father complicates a restricted diet with finicky eating, and they do an excellent job of accommodating his requests. And (important to me) the coffee is much better than the usual institutional brew. all in all among the best of the senior living facilities I have seen.

Great staff overall. The renovations while probably a good idea, are cold and uninviting. What was a welcoming 'country kitchen' us now granite counter tops - looks like a kitchen in a new development house. Most residents are in their 90s- new owners should remember that. otherwise, good care, nice people. Especially like the pool table and pool.
