My mom moved here to independent living. She is very social so she absolutely loves she has made lots of new friends.She moved from Indiana and she is 90. It was nice she lives closer to me and doesn't feel like a burden to us.she tells everyone it's like living in a resort.the first photo is her new friend the second is my mom with my sister walking down the hallway.the grandkids love going to visit nana here.

Went to see my Mom. Her room was filthy, nurses were not very nice and I will be looking for another rehabilitation facility for when she may have to go back to one after leaving the hospital.

We took mom over one day to meet her roommate and move a chair into the room. A nurse that day warned us as we were escorted to the room. The roommate screamed at us the entire time to get out. She smelled of feces, as did the room. We spoke to the director and were told the only other option was to do a private room. So we moved the chair into there, and they started charging us that day even though mom didn’t mow in until 2 weeks later. Once we moved her in, things did not go well. Mom was sad and discouraged. She stayed in bed most of the day, and that is not her normal behavior at all. She’s a happy and talkative person. When I called the nurses station to ask if she had eaten, they hung up on me on 3 separate occasions without even taking my name or callback number. When I finally spoke with the head nurse, I was told that patients have free will and they can’t force them to eat. However, they do not even encourage them. I was on the phone with mom when they knocked one day and asked if she wanted to eat. Mom said no and they left. Of course, I immediately told mom she needed to eat but then it was too late and she couldn’t find them. The entire assisted living portion smells horrible. They rooms are very old and the walk is extremely far to the amenities. I asked if they would take mom to activities. They said they don’t do that. If we wanted that level, she would need to go to memory care. After 20 days there, truly believing mom would die of malnutrition, we moved mom into memory care at another facility. After a week at the new (and less expensive) facility, she was doing so well they moved her into assisted living where they take her to activities and she continues to thrive many months later. Meanwhile, the fountain’s continues to send us a bill for the next months rent after mom moved out claiming she didn’t give a 30 day notice. She only lived there 20 nights and we were told by A Place For Mom that this could be a “trial basis” as we even had a deposit on another facility while we did this trial. In addition, the food was horrible. I took mom to a couple meals when I was visiting. She ordered a simple grilled cheese and fries one day. It was all cold and soggy. The other meals looked no better. The entire experience was horrific and left my brother and I with 20 sleepless nights worrying about mom and her care. She would call us every day begging to leave. She was left alone with no food. And when I asked them to take her food, they were only concerned that they charge her for the delivery.

Now 20 days of Rehab and they have improved from the initial 14 days in regards to responding to my mothers care request. There remains a great pretense of propaganda as the poster- child for adult rehab-care. A warning to families who are limited in rehab choices due to selecting advantage Medicare plans. Do not believe the photos online. Visit in-person. 1. The rehab facility is in desperate need of updating not only room furnishing but medical care equipment. CNA & Nursing Response time has improved since our initial admission although patient care is less than average. Mom was recently left unattended on the toilet and she is 100% non-ambulatory. Rehab unit actually has a sign that’s says voted U.S.World Report best in nursing homes. 2. Daily Staff , has improved although evening staff often do not check on patient and I had to call twice at 3:00 am and 2:45?am due to Mom not being able to locate call button and being in pain. A common response from nursing team conference meeting, oh that should not be well it is. . A common response from CNA staff, not my job or we are understaffed. Note: 87 year old Mom who suddenly had issues walking. Moms Pvt CNA who is highly trained observed during her M-F am visit recently the issue of the facility not bathing my Mom as thoroughly as desired. 3. Senior Mngt , Mack, Dir. Of Nursing was proactive and I feel relief our concerns were voiced to someone who was genuinely interested in resolving and advocating for better care. 4. Physical theraphy is exceptional. The administration team unresponsive to my four calls requesting followup . They actually submitted case therapy documentation for my Mom stay appeal. The appeal Dr. and third party Dr. noted that the information was inconclusive and lacking in specifics so her appeal was denied. I read the report and I’m curious as to what patient the case manager in social services was reviewing.

My mom was transferred here after having sacral fractures. She was in excruciating pain and they weren't equipped to deal with that immediately. Even while I was there she was still waiting for her pain meds and I was there two hours. But the staff I met was very friendly and concerned for her. Other than the pain medicine the staff was very caring. There was no room to sit down though while visiting as my mom had the smaller side of a divided room.

The Fountains at Mill Cove is a well managed Living facility for senior citizens. The levels of care are remarkably well staffed. The cordial and friendly culture is real. The residents look out for one another. The activities are regular but not over-whelming. The dining areas are well maintained. The food is well prepared and balanced for utmost nutrition.

My mom had a short stay at the facility. She received really good care from the nurses, CNA’s, Doctors, and other staff members. The place was clean and we brought things to make her stay feel a little more like home. The worse part for my mom was the food. I was able to door dash her food as well as take her home cooked meals. I appreciate the care she was given!

I had Major Surgery in June and afterwards I had to get physical therapy since my surgery and hospitalization. I had a limited list of places to choose from my insurance company, but my daughter and I read every review of each one and we liked what we read about this place.. My daughter visit here at Fountains at Mill Cove, and felt it was an excellent choice. and we both agreed that this is the one. When I tell you, it's like a family you never knew or met before. Everyone shows The love, smiles, caring and concerns everytime you see them, which makes your time worthwhile being here. I can truly say, every nurse, CNA, maintenance staff, physical therapist, housekeeping, front desk staff & food dietician, explains what you need to do to meet your goals of success with respect. Mr. Bobby Brown, always smiling and goes above and beyond to make it right. If you have a love one that needs a family that will take care of them, this places has it all. If I could rate this a 10 STAR , I would. They have so much to offer to your future of success to be able to get back to your normal routine and daily life. I'm only here for 20 days, but if I ever have to go to a rehabilitation center again, THIS IS MY FIRST CHOICE. KUDOS to everyone that is a worker for this outstanding organization
