Absolutely wonderful experience. The team here is incredible, friendly, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the residents. Michael was very warm and did a great job on showing us around. Deborah and the staff at Addington Place went above and beyond to make my mother feel welcome. Deborah checked what Mom's favorite snack was and had it placed in her room, a message in the lobby on a chalk board welcomed Mom by name on her first day, and we were given a lunch outside the usual serving time. Because of time constraints with the discharge notice and me traveling from out-of-state, Addington Place lent Mom a furnished room for a week until I come back this weekend to bring her furniture. I am so grateful for the empathetic approach Addington Place has demonstrated.

I am very happy with Addington Place for my mom. Deborah gave me a tour with several options. The atmosphere is nice and everyone is very nice. The price is reasonable. You can also visit your loved one 24/7. I would recommend taking a tour.

I highly recommend Deborah Gaskin as my senior coordinator at Addington Place. She took out her time to give me and my mother a tour of your beautiful facility. It is a clean, bright and airy with gardens to sit and visit. The facility is safe and during these challenging times of COVID-19, they are very diligent about keeping the residents safe. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and courteous. If I could, I would give it a six-star rating. I researched about 20 places, finally deciding on Addington Place of Shoal Creek. My mother feels safe and comfortable. She enjoys interacting with the staff and meeting new people. Deborah did an exceptional job walking us through the process and making us feel just like family. Addington has been taking care of my mom, Helen, since October 2023 and is currently. I cannot express enough gratitude to the management and to the full care team. The management strives to hire and retain employees that truly have a caring and engage with all the residents. When you have loved ones that are being cared for it is hard not to be there for them all the time, so it is extremely comforting to me that the full staff at Addington Place of Shoal Creek are filling in that void with love and care. So, if you’re looking for a small village with a family feel, this is the place.

My Mom moved in to Addington Place last September. I'm sticking with my five star rating because of the staff. They are so caring and very involved with their residents. They provide me with peace of mind, and I know my Mom is being well cared for. Although my Mom isn't part of the Addington Place senior living community yet, I want to give Tonya Bindewald five stars and would give her more if I could. Our family made the difficult descision that Mom needed assisted living. Addington was one of four places we toured and it was by far the best, so we started the process and have been working with Tonya. I don't know what we would do without Tonya's help. She has gone so far above and beyond to overcome the hurdles and challenges we've faced and has been available oustide her working hours when we needed help. She even drove to Mom's doctor's office because we couldn't get her plan of care faxed. She listens, is understanding and really cares about helping people. I will always be extremely grateful for what she's done to help us and have no doubt that they will take excellent care of my Mom, and the relief we feel because of that is priceless.

My husband and I visited his mom this last weekend. I was very impressed with Margarita, the activities director. She was there all weekend providing activities for the residents which included, manicures, facials, taking interested residents to church on Sunday, and outings to local destinations. She is so kind, and loved by all the residents and their families. Thank you!!

Tonya, relations coordinator has been amazing. She took time to show my family around the facility which was amazing and answer any questions we needed. I was very impressed with the facility and their pricing.

We like the atmosphere and they take good care of my mother, they USED to have Great Food but they changed Chefs and now their food is not good, usually overcooked or not easy to chew. They definitely need a better Chef!!!! Sure hope they will be able to start retaining the Resident Care Staff too.

My mom has been at Addington Place for 6 months now. I could not be happier with the care she receives here! I’m impressed by the fact that they respect HER needs and adjust the care to her needs! (I had visited another facility prior that expected my mom to adjust to their rigid view of what they expected of my mom!). The staff is very nice, very friendly, very patient! It is clear they like what they do by the atmosphere they project. The food is good, I have eaten with my mom several times. The facility is very clean and well kept. I can make a phone call anytime and ask someone to check on my mom, fix the tv, turn up the heat in her room etc. It feels good to know I can count on them to care for my mom when I can’t be there! GREAT PLACE!!

I wanted to write a review about my experience at Addington place I do hospice and we currently have residents that live here I wanted to let there cooperate office know that I have been in the health field for over 35 years and never ever had I met one of the BEST CREW of EMPLOYEES EVER.....from upper management to the aides, med techs, and the lady that does laundry,kitchen just every one is soooo very helpful and I truly believe they take Pride in there jobs as the home is always nice and clean the residents are WELL TAKEN CARE OF!!!! I Thoroughly enjoy going there I take pride in what I do and I'm very passionate about it and I can say that each and every employee I have encountered there all have that passion!!!! I meet alot people in this field that at one time are another have ask me about different facilities I can now say that ADDINGTON PLACE will be the Place I Recommend strongly.... I did not know what exactly my parents needed and was very overwhelmed with all of the options. Matt really took the time to explain the difference between assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. Even though Addington Place was not an option for us he made sure that we knew where to go next.

My parents moved into Addington Place of Shoal Creek about a month ago and have had an awesome experience thus far. The staff really works hard to give the residents lots of activity options while also respecting Covid restrictions to keep everybody safe. I want to give a shout out to Paula who brings a positive vibe to the atmosphere every day.

I appreciate the staff at Addington, and particularly the CNA, Paula. She has been very helpful with my sister over the past 2 years. Even though she is not back in the Memory Care unit anymore she still checks in. I was able to visit with my sister last week and Paula was there. My sister was happy to see her. It brings comfort to our family to have staff that truly cares for our family. Thank you Paula and the staff in Orchards.

My mom has been a resident at Addington Place for two years. The building is clean and well-maintained, and we like that it is smaller and more intimate than other local facilities. The staff is caring and attentive. Two aides, Paula and Carol, are especially kind and patient. They have a special camaraderie with Mom, and love on her like she was their own mother. Paula and Carol have become like family, and have made a special effort to stay in regular contact with me during the pandemic when quarantining prevented me from visiting Mom. The nurse Tonya is also attentive to Mom's needs, and is always available to answer my questions and concerns. I appreciate all of the staff at Addington Place.

Paula greeted me without wait and was able to guide me in the right direction and that was to Tonya the LPN on shift. Both ladies were extremely polite, and so helpful . This place is absolutely beautiful and it’s the first facility I’ve been in that not only looked clean but also smelled clean. I give them 5+ rating because all around experience was excellent.

Mom has been in there since June. She has dementia and hides her personal items. Staff is really patient with her and finds all of her items. Addington Place is clean and the food is good. She has a great room and plenty of activities that she participates in. Would definitely recommend Addington Place.

I have experience the transition to the new owners. I think they're trying to show off for the investors. Food , activities and care have all suffered a lot .The constant turnover of employees have left the residents in an awkward situation. The new regional mgr. Says he is working on it . Time will tell. The damage had already been done before he showed up, so it could happen .I have moved mom to another facility and found out just how much she was missing.

Addington Place did a superb job for my Mom. She was a big challenge having lots of health problems but they did a wonderful job. Mom declined and moved to "Memory" care from the Assisted living . I would visit my Mom on Sundays and after work and the staff would always go the extra mile. Your family is not perfect and neither is any assisted living facility, but I do recommend Addington Place. At the very end Mom needed hospice and I sat several days in her room. I ate the food just like the residence and it was good. Mom was very limited on speech due to small strokes so we were very thankful that they took extra time with her. Staff would update us on what she needed and how she was doing. Lots of good communication going out to and from her son.

My daughters and I love going to hang out with our friends at Addington Place. The community is beautiful and well-maintained, and is always looking for ways to include their residents in activities with the surrounding community - holiday parties, "adopting a grandparent" through our school, and more. We like to visit our friends in the memory ward and do art activities with them. The residents are always smiling and truly seem to enjoy their home. Staff are always polite and help engage the residents in our activities!!!

My mom moved into Addington Place a couple weeks ago. Prior to this, as I searched for a potential memory care environment for her, I was in contact with Patt and Kim. They were helpful, but not pushy as I searched for the best place for my Mom. After research and recommendations from friends, I felt SO was the best place for her. Her transition has gone smoothly this far and the staff has been very helpful and kind. I highly recommend Addington Place of Shoal Creek!
