Mom entered Brookdale in April 2025. Almost immediately we noticed an improvement in her attitude, participation, getting her medications at the proper times, etc. All of the good food three times a day is doing wonders. She loves her apartment; Brookdale is now her home. She has access to a hairdresser and manicure at Brookdale. Occasionally they have outings for Lunch, a Scenic Drive or shopping. The staff at Brookdale are very nice and extremely helpful with any questions or concerns that I may have had. The Nursing Staff, along with their Consulting Dr and visiting Nurse are top notch. I recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for Assisted Living near Port Orange, Fl. My only regret is that we had not investigated Assisted Living a few years earlier.

My family member has dementia and broke her hip. She had been in another assisted living facility but needed more care than they could give. Brookdale in Port Orange was perfect for her. It has limited residents and the care and staff have been phenomenal!! The atmosphere is quite homey and all of the residents are treated like family. We are truly thankful that she is getting wonderful care but also in a very caring environment.

Brookdale was one of four assisted living facilities I toured after my dad decided he did not want to go home after being hospitalized due to a fall. Brookdale has a warm, welcoming environment and felt less like an institution compared to other places i visited. He receives a high level of care due to his mobility issues and medication schedule. He has an excellent rapport with the nurses and houskeeping staff. I feel he is in the best place possible. It is such a relief to know he is in good hands!

From the first day we walked in the door til the day my mother moved in we felt like this is the place fir mom. Friendly, efficient, helpful staff. Darlene Knight has helped us every step of the way. All of this is new to my sister and I, as well as very stressful. However, Darlene and the staff assisted with the logistics and helped eleviate the stress. In addition, mom felt at home.

Brookdale is OUTSTANDING in EVERY way possible! Your loved one deserves respect and kindness during their final years and that is why we had to make a move from another facility. We also wanted to feel confident that safety was a priority and that each time our dad got up from a seated position, there would be a caring arm supporting him EACH day by ALL staff my dad is greeted and assisted with an upbeat, positive, loving encounter! From day 1, all staff wanted to ensure they provided optimal care.....with a SMILE! EVERY staff member goes out of their way with every responsibility on a DAILY basis!! Our parent now experiences security in every movement knowing the helping supportive hand is there guiding him and is renewed, refreshed by a positive, caring, committed atmosphere. We, as a family, out of state, have peace in knowing each encounter our dad has at Brookdale is going to be a positive one!!!

We just assisted a dear friend of ours into Brookdale Port Orange. Darlene Knight, the Sales Manager gave us a tour through the Facility. It is lovely. Ms. Knight described in detail all the services at Brookdale and answered all of our questions . The complex has a pretty dining room, multiple living rooms, multiple game areas, an outdoor screened in patio area with an open air courtyard and even a hair salon. We attended a fun luau with delicious food. The apartment is spacious. The staff has 24 hour aids and nursing staff to assist each resident as needed. The pricing is reasonable for the services provided. Our friend is very happy here and so are we to knowing that he will have the 24/7 care and assistance that he needs.

The entire staff here at Brookdale have been wonderful to our family and and especially my Mom. The Italian dinner night was incredibly delicious and a big shout out to the chef and his staff. I would highly recommend Brookdale to anyone who is looking for assisted living services.

We have recently moved my mom and step dad to Florida and it was a huge decision on the right place for them. We toured a few places in Port Orange and when we walked in Brookdale we knew it was the one, without question. Since they have arrived, the care has been excellent. The staff is so friendly and seems to really care about the well being and comfort of their residents. It give us such a peace of mind. Wildi, the Director and Juliet, Business Mgr, have been so wonderful in this trying time. We moved both my parents to Brooksdale about three weeks ago. We wanted to keep them together and to let them have their dog Shadow with them. But it has been a huge transition for my parents. Every member of Brooksdale has treated my family like valued members of their own family. They love the staff and really enjoy the food (amazing for my mom & dad). I enjoyed the food as well when I had dinner with my parents. I am so happy that my parents are so well taken care of by all the staff. Thanks again for being so sweet and thoughtful to Pat & Mitch. We spent months making sure we found the perfect home and hands down 1st choice was Brookdale. Kristine made the process flawless from being our first point of contact to move in day. Staff is amazing, food is great, and parents are beyond happy. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Our uncle (Jimmy Bielenda) was blessed to have stayed his final year at Brookdale in Port Orange. We as a family shared in those blessings as well. Brookdale is far superior to other ALF's in our community and their tenured staff make their residents feel like they're family. Our uncle was moved from another location where he failed to receive the love and support he deserved. We decided to research Brookdale as we've heard so many other families share their love for this community. From the start, Christine Norton was a ray of sunshine. She truly understands the needs of her residents and assists the family with professionalism and kindness. She put us at ease and assured us they would take good care of Uncle Jimmy. From there on he received so much companionship from the activities director, the nurses, the cna's, the kitchen staff, the executive director and the business office manager. He started leaving his room and eating in the dining room with his friends which he hadn't participated in for years. Also, he spent time with his friends playing bingo and attending social events. He was always kept clean no matter what time of the day we came to visit. He was upbeat and enjoying life for the first time in years. We would hear from the loving staff any time they were concerned about Jimmy. We completely and wholeheartedly would recommend this wonderful place to anyone who asks. The day we were moving his things out, we had a visit from three different staff members telling us how they loved him and wish us well. Also, the other day we received a beautiful card with handwritten notes from the staff to wish us their condolences. There was also a beautiful gift that we will cherish always. Please call this community for your loved ones. I promise you that they will flourish and never feel alone. Thank you to all the staff at Brookdale Port Orange. Each and every one of you are valued.

My father moved into Brookdale Port Orange in August 2020. It was a challenging time for my family especially my father who was being uprooted from his home in Miami, FL. He had lived in Coral Gables his entire life (85 years) and the thought of being somewhere else was difficult. We were referred to Brookdale Port Orange through a family friend and reached out to see what we could do to get him from South Florida to Port Orange. As you can imagine the logistics can be complicated. We spoke to Brookdale and they were amazing! They coordinated with the facility my father was at and helped find transportation. They handled all the paperwork with his insurance company, helped setup a local doctor and provided additional support all along the way. Since he has been there they have made him and our entire family feel welcome which made the transition so much easier. My father can be difficult even on his best day 🙂 but the staff at Brookdale has done an incredible job of making him feel like he's home. My family and I are so thankful to them and would recommend Brookdale Port Orange to anyone looking to find a safe, friendly and professional community for their loved one.

My journey with Brookdale started 4 years ago when I needed a place for my mother, while I was away. I chose Brookdale because it was set up like a home, not an institution. Mom loved it there. I decided this was the right place for her. She had a lovely room, and the staff was beyond wonderful. Not to mention a chef on staff making wonderful meals. Brookdale became my extended family. I could call and ask questions, if needed and always received answers. I would recommend anyone that needs care for their loved one will get it at Brookdale.

I have total trust in their watchfulness and have been extremely pleased with the level of care provided to her.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for every single person who works at Brookdale Port Orange for the wonderful care they took of my 91 year old Mother who passed on October 19, 2020. Every single person who is employed at this facility goes out of their way to take care of all of the residents beginning with the director down to the maintenance man. They treat your loved one as if they were their own and during these past months with the COVID lockdown, everyone working there went above and beyond their normal duties. I am going to miss everyone of them and I will definitely be keeping in touch. Thank you Brookdale!

What a wonderful place for my 88 year old father to spend the rest of his golden years! Everyone at Brookdale has become part of our extended family. There is no one working or living there that does not have a smile on their face, a cheerful attitude, a pleasant greeting and the feeling of a big happy family. There is a warm welcoming atmosphere as soon you come in the door, kind of like going to Grandma's house. The care givers are so attentive and make everyone feel special, whether you are a resident or a visiting family member. Dining choices of delicious meals, so many activities, outings, a salon, housekeeping and laundry, care services, your own apartment to decorate like your own home and new friends to share your memories with, and the socialization with peers is priceless. It can seem distressing to think about moving an elderly parent out of their own home and into assisted living but if you're lucky enough to live near Brookdale Port Orange you're lucky enough! The quality of my father's life since moving into Brookdale is amazing to everyone in our family, and he fought us about going. He's so happy to be there now. A special shout out to the first person I met when considering Brookdale Port Orange, Kristine Boutot. She is a Disney Princess live at Brookdale. Her joy, caring and compassion is infectious!

My father-in-law was in this facility for the last two months of his life. EVERYONE at Brookdale made every effort to comfort and care for him. I only wish he had been in better health to enjoy some of the many activities that were available at Brookdale. Each staff member really cares about the residents and the facilities are top notch.

I was delighted to see how clean, light and airy Brookdale Port Orange was. The employees were particularly friendly and very helpful as I had a lot of questions. The nursing staff is top notch. My friend's mom really enjoys living there and especially likes the variety and quality of food. They also have lots of entertainment come in and that helps pass the time in a joyful manner. They also have themed parties and the day I was there the employees were in costume and the whole place was decorated to look like Camelot! What fun! So all in all, this Brookdale is a very nice place.
