My dad lived at Town Village for almost 8 years. He called it "home". The employees and residents were like family and good friends. He enjoyed bingo and won often. The location is close to so many stores and activities. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We are very grateful that he had such a wonderful experience in his "home".

Not only it is like home...it IS home! Food is gr8!! No more cooking. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Best decision I have made!

My 90 year old uncle has been living at Town Village for years. As he has aged, I have had to spend more time there moving him to another apartment and arranging help for him. town Village has a history of of ala carte services for the elderly that has made my life easier - and enable him to stay there and not go to an assisted living facility. The staff and management has been very helpful and responsive. The food and dining room are very good also.

My mama finally feels like she's home. Everyone is so welcoming. The food is fabulous and many of the staff have been here for years and years. That continuity makes a huge difference in their loyalty and general demeanor at work.

Joe and I had been discussing moving into a retirement community for several years. We have known folks who have lived in at least eight such places in the Memphis area and have visited most of these facilities -- lovely places! But Town Village is the one that, through prayer and several visits here, seemed just right for us. What a good decision! The personnel have bent over backwards to accommodate our needs -- and wants! From doing needed as well as requested renovations, Town Village has met our every request. Having lived here now for almost four months, we are experiencing "for real" the first impressions we had, such as kind and friendly residents, great food, varied activities, appropriate amenities, and even available transportation and medical help. And we love our apartment and think that we are blessed to have the best location, the best parking spaces -- just everything we need to continue living productive lives. Marilyn Thweatt

I tried hard to think of something that would lower my score to 4 stars because nothing can be perfect, but try as I might I couldn't think of anything. The food is great and at each meal there are options enough to satisfy most any taste. There were a couple of minor things wrong with my apartment when I moved in, but they were taken care of immediately. I needed more shelf space in my closet and new shelves were installed without cost to me. There are activities available for anyone that wants to keep busy or to improve their quality of life. I could go on and on about the efficiency and friendliness of the staff and all the other amenities that make this truly home, but until you experience it you really can't know the pleasant feeling that begins at day one and continues to grow.

If I could give them a 10-star rating I would. I decided to book a10 day stay there just to see if I liked it and to my surprise, I loved it. The staff, the people, activities, the food and everything else was just awesome. I cant wait to go back , but I'm not quite ready to make it my preminate home yet because I still have some health procedures to get through first. Mu goal is to be able to move in by the first of the year.

It’s really my home. My husband and I are happy, content, safe and feel fortunate to live here. Town Village provides many opportunities for education, fitness, and entertainment. Bistro for casual dining, the nook is a nice mini mart, Hope Primary Care does apartment visits on site with nurse practioners. The staff including the servers and kitchen staff are very attentive and helpful. It’s a pleasure to live here.

When I came to Town Village in July of 2023, it was to please my family. I no longer drove so it was good for that reason and I found a place to call home. The staff has been accomendating and very pleasant. I have made many friendships and would like to stay here as long as I am on the planet!

I moved in seven months ago and have enjoyed every minute of every day. The food ia great. A wide variety that should suit anyone's fancy. I love the feeling of security knowing that I'm safe and if I were to need assistance it's within a phone call away. We started our search for a independent living community for seniors a few years before we actually made our move. We wanted to be proactive in determining our future and not have to leave that determination up to our three kids. Our search was in Rockville, Maryland, where our daughter and her family lived, and In Memphis, Tennessee, home to our two sons and their families. We visited a number of places during this time and saw a number of facilities, but every time we visited Town Village Audubon Park we felt its call. About three years after beginning our search we, with some anxiety, moved into Town Village, but after only a short time here we felt certain we had made the correct choice. There were two basic reasons we were ready to move. We had grown tired of planning for, shopping for, and then cooking our meals. Secondly as we aged we were becoming more isolated and felt the need for more social interaction. Meal time at Town Village, and that is three meals a day, with the added advantage of a bistro, provides not only good food but an opportunity to dine and interact with different residents as you wish. Thus plenty of opportunities for social interaction at meal time. Then there is the additional value of the many activities and amenities offered that add to the social interaction. Happy hour in the bistro, educational classes, exercise sessions, some in the pool, bingo, trivia time, and a variety of other games give one a daily opportunity to meet and mingle. The entire staff and the residents welcomed us with open arms, we are so glad we made this move, we are home.

When someone comes to live in a community like Town Village, they do not suddenly lose interest in nor no longer take pleasure from what had interested and pleased them before. I came to Town Village after 52 years of teaching. One of the subjects I taught was the French language. Somehow one does not think of a group of retirees learning a new language. However, I was permitted to start a beginner’s French class. All but two of the residents who signed up for the class had had some French in high school and/or college “ admittedly, more than a few years had passed since the last time they sat in a French class. The two learned idioms, common expression, and everyday conversation. Those who had previous experience with French are still in the class, and I am starting to teach actual French grammar. This rare accomplishment could never have happened had Town Village not set aside a time and place for the weekly class. However, an even more exciting event is taking place I had been a speech/drama teacher, and I have not only been permitted but encouraged to put on plays and programs. To date, we have had four programs: duo acting, a Christmas program, an adapted Price is Right program, and an evening of humorous skits “ all performed by and for Town Village residents. And while the first programs not only involved 10-12 residents, the latest program boasted 26 residents and an audience of over 80 “ and they were a very welcoming and appreciative audience, to say the least. Town Village is to be commended for encouraging the residents to use their abilities, especially when doing so benefits all.

It's a warm and inviting place to be. It's not just a place to live it's a place to call home. We have no worries about getting to places or doctor visits. We always have fun activities going on and three fantastic meals a day along with a food pantry that we can come to at any time.

We spent two nights at Town Village AP visiting my sister-in-law Barbara Kleinman. We were incredibly impressed with the facility, the grounds, and most of all the people! Everyone at town Village makes me feel like it is extended family. I take part in the short story Society and the art class monthly, then the social hour with music each week. They offer bingo three times a week. During the pandemic to keep us safe the activities staff went to the grocery store twice a week and picked up all the necessities we needed. The staff go above and beyond for each one of us.

I moved in on the 17th of November and ever since that time it has been a delight to meet people and staff which are all very helpful regardless of the matter of the situation. Obviously the Covid had a major impact of activities that usually take place at town village, but most recently we were able to start enjoying our dining room, eating with friends, and other enjoyable activities in the building. I would highly recommend anyone that is entertaining moving to senior living to come and check out Town Village Audubon Park.

As a resident here everybody has been so nice and helpful. The pandemic has slowed down all the fun we were having, but now all the activities are getting back on track! I love having hot meals everyday and housekeeping included in the cost.

I like Town Village because of the people. They are friendly and outgoing. The rooms are beautifully appointed with crown molding and spacious. Best deal in the city for the money! The food is excellent and there are always plenty of choices. The physical therapy department is excellent and all but miraculous.

Town Village was rated Best of Senior Living 2019, and for good reason. The atmosphere is beyond friendly and warm. I could go on and on about the amazing staff, but they are just the icing on the cake. The true prize of TVAP is our residents. They generously spend their time organizing new clubs and activities, while still carving out time in their schedules to show new residents around. They are truly wonderful!
