After my father-in-law passed away my almost 84 yr old mother-in-law was very lonely. She no longer wanted to live in the large apartment they had shared and we looked everywhere for a place she could call home. Our home was not an option due to many stairs. We visited Anchor Bay and were so thrilled to find a community that was so caring and welcoming. She lives independently in an apartment, but doesn't have to worry about cooking or cleaning anymore. They have an endless amount of activities for the residents and families to enjoy and the meals are wonderful. Each and every staff member has welcomed her and all of us into the community with open arms. Anchor Bay is truly a special place.

The residents at Anchor Bay make coming to work the highlight of my day. I have worked a few different places and walking in the morning and being greeted by their smiling faces makes it all worth while. They are always eager to come to activities and thank me for my time. We have a great team!

Such a beautiful and dynamic community. It's recent renovation is stunning and provides residents with a gorgeous living environment. Food quality here is top notch and attractively presented. Linda Garzone has been here for 12 years as Director of Activities and Leisure. She gave of her time to keep the residents calm for the 8 week Covid quarantine, keeping in touch with the families. She is also in charge of Penny Socials and Bazaar, inviting family and friends to attend, with proceeds going to different organizations. For activities, she has the pupils from Eldredge Elementary School doing arts and crafts with the residents. Everyone, including the students, have a good time. The teachers and parents help. Linda is also in charge of all of the holiday parties, including getting the live entertainment. Its always a full house with family and friends. Rain or shine, she always makes it happen!

Evelyn has lived at Anchor Bay for the last 3 1-2 years but over the last six months have been the most challenging for everyone. Thanks to the staff at Anchor Bay, she has been kept safe and happy. Its impossible to recognize one person. I havent found one person I dont like! They are all very nice and helpful. Its a great team! From reception, housekeeping, dining, activities, transportation to maintenance, etc... everyone plays an important role in making my stay here as pleasant as possible.

My father moved into Anchor Bay a year ago on labor day weekend. I have been consistently amazed by the high level of friendliness, compassion and care given by all the staff. Id like to note two especially fabulous staff there: Darlene, the main Receptionist and Johanna Schiffer. Darlene always answers the phone and greets people at the door with a smile. She always makes the extra effort to connect us to the person we need and we never know when she is having a bad day though she knows when we are struggling with an issue regarding our father. Johanna Schiffer, Senior Director of Memory Support, has gone above and beyond to help make life better for my father with his increasing dementia and does it with sincere cheer. Thank you Anchor Bay for making the transition to Anchor Bay as smooth as possible for my father and his children.

I have been at Anchor Bay at Greenwich for 5 1-2 years. The staff are great and very helpful. Linda G. and Vicky M. are super at coordinating our activities (exercise, bingo, Tripoli, Family Feud many other fun games). On Sunday, I look forward to crafts with Vicky. It is fun doing the crafts and we have a lot of laughs! Vicky and Linda are kind and helpful, I dont know what wed do without them. It makes Anchor Bay Greenwich a special place!

Linda G. always has a smile on her face every day and makes the best of mixing up the daily activities in challenging times. Gail the med tech is very good about coming in to check on me and is good at her job. She also does a great job with my hair! Vicky goes the extra mile to darken pictures and supply me with sharpened colored pencils for my coloring projects.

Jerry is my choice, as well as my familys, for the employee who has made a difference in my being here by being the first staff member I got to know. He made my apartment livable. He is always pleasant, knows his job, makes helpful suggestions and has the ability to provide supplies when needed. He is always on time, is an all-around nice guy, and always waves or says hello.

My mom has been at Anchor Bay for a little over a year. Ive visited twice from Colorado since then. This assisted living home is just that, a real home, for their wonderful elderly who have lived full lives and deserve to to enjoy this last journey with each other and to be respected by the people who serve them there, in all capacities. From the servers in the dining room, to the office staff, to housekeeping, and then on to activities, it is obvious how sincerely everyone serves their clients, who are truly their friends as well. The activities that are constantly, week after week, day after day, planned for the clientele is surpassed by none. This organization is so well respected in their immediate and outlying communities, that vendors reach out to Anchor Bay when they are planning their entertainment and activity schedules for the following year! Anchor Bay has first choice for their residents. The execution of the activities always considers which residents are participating and ensures that every resident gets the most out of each event, even if that means personal attention at times. Linda and Vicki are simply amazing at what they do. Their creativity and endless energy put them at the top of chatter for Anchor Bay residents. They are so respected and appreciated by everyone , colleagues and residents and families alike. The building is undergoing renovations, but honestly, I do hope they do not lose the homelike feel from the character that the common areas exude today. Its so intimidating for new clients, with a tremendous sincere reach-out from present residents, looking to share their wonderful gift of home and friendship, to the staff who would love to welcome and serve more of their senior community. There is no one thing... My parents are comfortable and happy at Anchor Bay at Greenwich. The staff are compassionate and invested in the residents happiness. They have never not had the time to speak to our family, over the phone or when we just drop in. There have been some challenges over the past three years my parents have been there and they always graciously listened and that was often enough. Transitioning our parents from home to Anchor Bay was anything but easy but Dawn, Darlene, Brooke, Linda, Vicki, Johanna, Pat and those whose names I cant recollect are why I know we made the best decision for our parents.
