During the tour, Laura introduced us to the compassionate staff whose professionalism and warmth were evident. It was clear that the residents receive personalized attention tailored to their unique needs, fostering a sense of dignity and security. I am not a family member or a friend. I am a Hospice CNA that came to provide services to a patient.. Laura was very pleasant and respectful not only to patients but including us as visitors. She was very unique, and she showed love, and kindness when I saw her beautiful roses in the back yard, when I saw the birds, and dogs that she had, and her cooking always smell good. It made me feel welcome home. And her care giver was amazing to. If I ever run into some one that needs a home . I would recommend this facility. Moving my aunt from her home into assisted living was a difficult and emotional decision, especially after trying to keep her at home as long as possible. She has been at Miramar now for 3 months and has adjusted well, thriving socially and even gaining weight (quite an accomplishment for her). I do believe the smaller family-style environment at Miramar has benefited her as has her companionship with the family’s pets. I am truly pleased by the way the owners actively manage her care 24x7, contacting me with anything out of the ordinary and with suggestions about her care. They are so knowledgeable and have so much experience. Having my aunt there gives me so much peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by such caring, loving people.

We researched & visited many assisted living facilities (ALFs) for my husband's 85 year old mother who has dementia and was falling often at home. We were actually ready to sign a contract with one of the larger, resort-style ALFs, but thankfully we decided to look at one more facility, Miramar... As soon as we spoke to Laura, we knew this was the right place for Mom. Miramar houses a smaller number of residents (6), which means the care-givers know each resident and provide personalized care. We are 100% confident that if Mom were to have another fall, which is less likely in a safe environment like Miramar, she would immediately receive help. In a larger apartment style facility, who knows how long it would be until someone checked on her. At Miramar, she can choose to socialize in the living room and to eat in the dining room, but since it is a home setting, it is a very short walk from her private bedroom (no stairs). If we had gone w/ an apartment at a larger place, she would've had a long (unassisted) walk down the hallways, would have to navigate the elevators and find her own way around. We feel confident she would have gotten lost, leading to her being unlikely to leave her room. Laura, her husband, her staff, and even her own family are amazing with Mom. Laura is very knowledgeable, she is a skilled, capable care giver. She kind and patient. We are certain Mom is safe in Laura's loving care. Laura is also an amazing communicator. She is always professional, always responds to our texts, emails or calls in a very timely manner. Laura has an in-home care primary care physician (and podiatrist) who will visit the residents at Miramar, which is huge since we live out of state and are not there to take Mom to doctor appointments. Laura handles coordinating the scheduled appointments w/ the providers. She also keeps track of and administers Mom's medications. We are so thankful we found Miramar! PS - Laura has small pets that have a therapeutic effect on Mom. Petting the "doggy-dog" brought a smile to Mom's face that we've not seen in a while!

I personally appreciate the hard work, care and overall positive loving environment Ruben and Laura have created. You can really tell all of the 5 star reviews are heartfelt and written with the most sincere appreciation. This home absolutely destroys any nursing or caregiving facility I have ever visited. I would even go as far to say that the late stage medical system should be embarrassed they can't match this level of quality.
