Every time I have to go vote, I get to go to this retirement center and have the best time of my life there! Staff is awesome, and residents are so friendly to stop and talk to on my way through! Surroundings are peaceful and lively. You get a down-home feeling as soon as you walk through the doors! I am thinking about moving there just because it would be a great help to have the company and friends to hang out with day to day. I have a lot of medical issues, and my husband does also. It would benefit us to have nurses close by and somebody who actually cares if we live or die, to be honest about it all. The older we get, the harder it is for us to maintain our own home, and this is the answer to my prayers in the future, when the time comes, I know where we can and will be moving to!

Wesleyan is a nice place to live. But the management and some of the staff need alot of work. When I first came here the food was good head chef Robbie was an exceptional chef. But sadly he left for some reason. And our new head chef Michael so far I am not impressed. I've been a head chef in a nursing home, and we put out better food then we are getting now. They serve to much pork which I don't eat. For religious purposes and also it's a choking hazard. It's always so dry and overcooked. Same with the white meat chicken, the grill chicken is terrible it's always so dry. These residents here deserve better food. The cafe has better food , then the rose room . I give Wesleyan 3 stars 1 for excellent nursing care Linda she's excellent and caring. Sandra she's excellent and caring. And I also give honorable mention to Jayme and Kristy are very sweet and caring. The activities are fun and Anastasia and Ryan make them fun. The hospitality and dining staff need alot of work, either train them right and weed out the bad ones. Housekeeping always clean my room and bathroom always with professionalism and attention to detail Maintenance does an okay job, they are slow to respond to work orders, I've been waiting over a month to have my Air Conditioner fixed. It's been looked at. I thought this was supposed to be a Christian based home. It doesn't feel like it. This is supposed to be my home and it just doesn't feel like it. It has changed a lot since I came here.

September 3, 2025 My sister was placed in Wesleyan Village's Beacon House a few years ago. She appears content, which is important to her family. Several Nursing Homes were considered before she was placed in Wesleyan Village, Elyria. Wesleyan had a couple of huge benefits that other Nursing Homes didn't offer: Residents could keep a pet as long as they could care for it, which was extremely important to my sister, and Wesleyan won't throw you out on the street when your money runs out! The only two complaints I have at this time are; it's really hard to get anyone to answer the phone in that unit and they have a large staff turnover. Biggest complaint is the exorbitant price for care, like all Nursing Homes! That said, Pete & Lisa are the main nurses I've interacted with in Beacon House. They're both great! I'm thankful for the care they give my sister and attention to keeping me updated about her wellbeing! I I will update my post if anything changes.

We recently moved our grandmother into Wesleyan Village, and the experience has been exceptional. My grandma is blind in one eye and has very limited vision in the other, so finding a place where she felt comfortable and supported was incredibly important to us. Ashley and Shelley in Sales, were amazing throughout the process. They made everything so smooth and stress free, not just for us but for our grandma as well. Their professionalism and care truly stood out. Since moving in, my grandma has raved about how kind everyone is. She Loves Terri! The nursing staff is so friendly and attentive, Michelle and Pete are always making her feel at ease. The facility offers a variety of activities, including bingo, coffee and donuts, and even outings to local stores. It’s wonderful to know she has so many opportunities to stay engaged. One unique feature we appreciated is the on property apartments available for out-of-town visitors. My sister and I stayed in a comfortable two-bedroom apartment while helping set up our grandma’s studio apartment. It made the transition so much easier for all of us. Wesleyan Village is a warm, welcoming community that we feel very confident in. We’re so grateful our grandma is in such a caring environment. Highly recommend!

At first I was distraught with the idea of placing my mother in assistant living. This was the only place I was interested in after viewing a few others. The administrator and other staff members help make this experience a healthy and bearable transition. My mother has her own "apartment" with her personal items. The accommodations are welcoming in addition to other amenities. I asked my mom daily how do you like staying here? "It's nice." Are the staff being good to you? "Yes they're nice."are you being good? "Of course I am" The nursing and assistant nursing staff are wonderful. They make sure they assist you with whatever you need and answer any questions that you may have. I had to let go of my selfish desires of wanting to be my mother's caregiver. I had the privilege of caring for my mother for 3 years with a progressive diagnosis of Alzheimer's. It is a shocking truth and devastating fact that this diagnosis is quick. She is thriving in her environment (memory care unit), it's safe and she loves sleeping in. The staff take care of making her bed, dressing her and making sure any other needs are met. I want to say thank you again Wesleyan Village

I recently had the pleasure of touring Wesleyan Village, exploring both the independent and assisted living wings. From the moment I arrived, I felt a genuine sense of community that truly makes Wesleyan Village stand out. The variety of activities available”ranging from arts and crafts to sports-watching parties”offers something for everyone and creates a lively, engaging atmosphere. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the impressive range of services and amenities provided. I was also impressed with the physical rehabilitation options available, and the opportunities for spiritual growth and counseling reflect a well-rounded approach to residents' well-being. A special thank you to the Director of Marketing, who was knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic about the community and its mission. I highly recommend Wesleyan Village to anyone considering a senior living community that offers quality care, a strong sense of connection, and a full spectrum of activities!

Great facility with great staff. I was a resident there for 2 1/2 months. I had a badly broken ankle and required monitoring and therapy. Couldn't have asked for better. Thank you everyone at Wesleyan village.

I would like to give many thanks to the administrator, Diane Graham. Whenever she was contacted with any questions, she would find time in her extremely busy schedule to answer them in a timely manner. Everything gets followed through and completed in the best possible way. Thank you for being so caring, we need more people like that.

My mother lived here for 10 years. And when she was getting close to the end of her life, her one wish was to make sure she died in her bed. So sadly, I say I lost her. But I was able to make sure it was in her bed at the villages. Nurses always responded to my wishes or my beliefs if there was a problem and took care of it right away. Thank you to everyone at wesleyan village for all the assistance they gave me. My mother was Dorothy Sander

Hello Mona I just wanted to take the time to say Thank You from my dad Nelson Velez and myself. Everyone has been so great with him and myself, I cannot tell you enough how much you have all meant to us. Everyone that we have come across has either been super helpful or just simply very kind we appreciate all of you. The visit with my dad and his wife was amazing you all made the transition so smooth for them and for me. You see they hadn’t seen each other for over two months since he had his stroke. Since my dad’s stroke it has been a lot on my plate, but again you guys have really made it better for me and I thank you. Thank you all for all the support you have shown him and myself. My dad wasn’t happy he was coming here he wanted to be home, but all the staff from the Healthcare floor, Physical Therapy, Billing. Nursing, Maintenance and security ( I apologize if I forgot a department) have made it great for him he has made a second family here. I come to visit every day and he is always so happy and tells me who he talked to and how they made him laugh or got to know him for him not his stroke. I think he will be leaving soon but that wouldn’t be happening if it wasn’t for all of you. I know things might not always be perfect but you guys sure have made it seem or as close as possible. Working here and at the daycare defiantly had its benefits but let me tell you I will defiantly be spreading the word about the village and its staff. Thank you again feeling blessed, Nelson Velez & Isabelle Velez
