Placing a parent outside of their home is a hard call. But once the dementia really set in it was very clear that we needed to get my father to a place where he would be well cared for and safe. I live out of state and navigating the eldercare system is a roller coaster of info and experiences depending on who you end up talking to/connecting with.I met Jennifer (community relations) and Leigh (facility director) and immediately felt like I had people looking out for me and my father. And the staff in the memory care unit were amazing! They would send me updates and pictures on the reg or if I asked. Jennifer would go visit my father and facetime with me so that I could see and interact with him, since I live outside of Florida. I was allowed to be in the memory care unit as much as I wanted when I came to visit and I got to watch the staff take care of all the folks in memory care. They were great! Letting residents help when they could and gently redirecting them when they needed to be. When things started to go downhill for my father, everyone was very communicative in letting me know what was happening. And despite the sadness, there were sweet moments of laughter and happiness to be shared. That is something I was very grateful for.Thank you to the memory care unit at Forest Oaks and Jennifer and Leigh for taking such sweet care of my father (and me).

My dad became a resident two weeks ago. To say I was apprehensive is an understatement. My dad has lived on his own for the past 20 plus years since my step mom passed and got very set in his ways. But since being at Forest Oaks Ive seen a complete 180 out of him. Mona was great getting him in and the staff has been outstanding.

All of the staff are very helpful, they are very tolerant, they are extremely caring of thier charges. They also maintain a helpful and understanding of relatives concerns and make every effort to accomodate them. The facility is clean and well maintained. The meals are varied, appear well balanced and nutritious. The residences are offered a selection of entriees at the evening meal.

Checked my mom with alzheimers in today. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. My mom wasnt happen but hopefully settle in soon and maybe make new friends. My office is very close and I can visit frequently.

Over the years I have encountered many long term care facilities and I must say that the staff at Forest Oaks genuinely cares and loves their residents. I know that it is difficult for the residents and families during the pandemic but the staff does everything they can to keep the families updated on their loved ones.

Forest Oaks ALF in Spring Hill, FL is one excellent facility with caring staff, great and dedicated leadership with the ultimate goal to provide tender loving care and safety to their residents. ALF staff are caring and respects their residents as individuals with personalized needs and wants. They uphold their mission and vision and adhere to safety guidelines, rules and policies of a top notched assisted living facility. I would refer my patients to Forest Oaks ALF anytime for their excellence in clinical and safety standards.

My mother was a resident there before she died and my family found the staff very kind, caring and accommodating. Mom was suffering from Alzheimer (believe me it is suffering) and Lindsey and Nicca took especially good care of her. They were willing to let her assist them with chores and stay in their areas where she felt comfortable. Leigh Dingle (director) and Mona Herreid (community relations) would take time out of their days to let her sit with them and visit and they always had time to listen to concerns from my family.

Wonderful experience with the staff at forest Oaks! The housekeeper (Amanda) went out of her way for my mom, and the aids were very compassionate and helpful. The entire staff were very professional and caring. Giving a shoutout to these special people that helped my mom in their own special way. Thank you Lee , Mona and Art. Also Debbie, Kelly and the night crew of aids that were so wonderful the night mom passed. The Ward family is forever grateful to you all. ?

Use to work for this place. A place to call home I miss my family from there. Wumi is the best, she literally cares about every resident like they are her own blood. I highly recommend either working for this place or even taking your loved one on a visit.

Forest oaks assisted living facility is hands down one of the best facilities in Spring Hill, they have the most kind, caring, compassionate resident care assistants. They make sure all needs are met to the best of their abilities and to make sure everyone feels at home. I really want to give a shout out to second shift and Wumi Moonan whos always putting in 110% to providing care and the quality of life to the residents. I cant thank you all enough for what you do.

Lindsey takes great care of the residents. She shows sincerity and that she truly cares about them and you can tell every resident loves her. She is a natural and a great caregiver and asset to the facility!

Art Chatraw is an excellent asset to your manager team at Forest Oaks! As maintenance manager he is there to help in a moments notice when something needs to be fixed or repaired. He keeps your facility in tip ,top shape! Art is so helpful & caring to the residents and to my sister who resides there .He's always ready to lend them a helping hand, make them smile and laugh with a joke or two or a funny story. He is a fixer and gets things done and you have no worries when Art is in charge!

Jane Schooley is a great person. She gets my father to his appointments on time and he enjoys being a passenger in the transport van. Jane is patient and has helped a lot of residents with other things as well. Thank you Jane for being a dependable person and caring for others.

Amanda Brown is very personable and very helpful. Her smile light's up the room. She keeps the areas in the building very clean. Beth Davis is an asset to the kitchen. Love her soups . Personality plus. Great cook... Ann Miller is very compassionate and takes the time to listen. She explains how a medication works in laymens language so you understand and is patient and caring.

Ann Miller is a very caring and responsible medical technician. I never worry when my sister is in Ann's care. She always gives her medications on time. Ann is always there with a smile and makes sure all the residents in her care are comfortable and happy. She not only takes care of the meds she is involved in their total care. She gives showers and makes sure everyone knows when it's time to eat! My sister really likes & trusts her as I do! She listens to your concerns and resolves them as quickly as possible. When you leave after your visit you have no worries because Ann is there!

Jane Schooley is friendly, dependable and a very hard worker.She does very well getting the people to their appointments along with her other duties. She works very well with my wife. A deserving 5 on my rating. Ann Miller is a caring and professional person. She attends to the patients needs as they were her own family. She does extra activities to help the morale of the patients. Very well liked Throughout the facility. Diane Bliss does very well keeping a tight reign in the dining hall. Knowing the foods of all the people and serving them quickly. She has a friendly greeting for each table. She has a 4 star Dani Hawk is a med tech, helps Patients in many ways. She is attentive in many ways, and has taken good of my wife. Need assistance, information or just plain help . Stop at the front desk on the right as you enter the facility .
