Administration poor, not responsive, poor communication, not helpful. Most caregivers were good and seemed to care. Social worker particularly lacking. Good luck.

Keep getting billed for wives' rehab which was already been paid by Medicare and Anthem. Have sent them proof of payment twice and have not heard back. Just received a third notice. Billing is postmarked out of San Francisco CA.

Worst experience ever. Zero stars. My husband was there for 3 hours and couldn't get staff to assist him to the bathroom. He soiled himself and no one would help. I cleaned him up myself and put him in my car and took him directly back to the hospital. I left a message for the administrator and am still waiting for a return call--3 days ago and no return call. Do not go here.

The staff was mostly wonderful. They are short-staffed and morale is WAY down since the business was purchased by individuals rather than running as a nonprofit. One of the employees even quit because they "could no longer handle the neglect and abuse."

New ownership and management has decimated this facility. Cut staff to the bone, put inexperienced management in place who has never run a facility before. My MIL has been neglected and left in bed for hours, diaper not changed, not showered. Awful, awful awful

Mom was thankfully not at Manor Grove for very long. She was there for a rehab stay. Staff can be caring, but it doesn't matter if there isn't enough staff. When I asked admissions for a copy of the contract they had Mom sign they told me "we don't do that". Seems to be a typical corporate chain now.

Brought Grandma for a respite care weekend stay back in May. We picked her up a day early and found her DOUBLE DIAPERED. She also informed us the care staff brought her to someone's funeral/memorial during her weekend vacay. In addition, they told us they would pay the bill for her meds they forced us to order because the staff wasn't knowledgeable about procedures. Turns out we would've been allowed to bring her meds from home. We didn't need to order an additional $100 in medications. We've been told by multiple staff that they would pay the bill and it's been 5 months and still it's unpaid. Now it's under new ownership and new staff and are insisting they know nothing so they won't do anything. They're lucky we didn't report them for double diapering grandma. The least they could do is refund her the unnecessary expense they forced us into. Oh. forgot to mention, they didn't give her meds correctly either. It took her about 2 weeks to recover from her weekend there. Never bring your loved one here.

This 100+ year old facility was run by a nonprofit until a couple months ago when it was bought out by private investors who live out of state. They cut staff immediately and in some cases before replacements could be found. You can ignore the previous reviews and I would encourage you to visit the facility and talk to residents and families before bringing your loved one here. Likely more cuts to come...

I just want to say that I am a student nurse and this nursing home is by far the best!! The wound nurse there is just amazing as well!! They take really good care of their residents. If I ever had to choose a nursing home for a family member of mine it would be this place.

Everyone of my Patients are like Family and I treat them as such. I fell in love for each and every one of them. Now I left nursing behind. I left because now I'm getting to old to take care of the ones I love now since I'm older.

The staff was VERY good. However, the administration assured us our family member would absolutely be able to remain as a Medicaid resident after private funds ran out. Some years later the funds were exhausted and we were told she had to leave WITHIN A WEEK because they had no room for her. We were NOT told an “emergency Medicaid bed” could and should have been declared. G’ma was effectively “kicked to the curb” by Manor Grove! Get EVERYTHING in writing if dealing with this company.

Both of my parents were in hospice at this facility. Having experienced other facilities in the area, Manor Grove far exceeded our expectations. The staff was wonderful and provided excellent care for my parents in their final days.

Manor Grove has been a huge blessing for our family. We researched a number of nursing homes and decided to send my wife's parents here. We're so glad we did. Manor Grove feels like a community where everyone who works there knows the residents and truly cares about them. My wife gets calls when something seems off with her parents - when they had a mild cough, or did not seem as happy as usual. We were amazed that they were on top of it, and let us know! Both my wife's parents have very challenging behaviors often and Manor Groves consistently works with them. They have incredible patience and are true professionals. We go visit them regularly, and you can tell they are really well taken care of. I hope we don't need a nursing home for a long time, but both my wife and I have said that if we ever need it, we would both want to be in a place like Manor Grove!

We had an elderly friend that we had to place in Manor Grove and then she was placed on hospice. All I can say is Manor Grove took excellent care of her the staff really cared about her and took wonderful physical care of her. Manor Grove may seem dated when you walk in the door but look past that the care they provide is stellar!

I deliver prescriptions to nursing homes and so I get to see behind the scenes in a lot of facilities. What impressed me about Manor Grove was seeing staff engaging with residents, treating them like truly cared for family, above what I have seen anywhere else. The residents seem happier and more alert. If I had to go into a nursing home, Manor Grove would be my choice.

Our Aunt lived here and did very well. Anytime we had an issue it was dealt with. She had some wonderful caregivers and some we still stay in touch with. I believe you have to stay involved in your loved ones care!

Physical therapy and occupational therapy staff excellent and caring. Saw aids sleeping in the halls at night and medications were not given at appropriate times. Food poor.

Manor Grove is an outstanding facility. Over 110 years of senior care in a beautiful setting near downtown Kirkwood Missouri. Huge century trees abound overlooking water features, courtyards, patios and gardens. The staff offers truly personal care for your beloved family, you will be amazed.

The staff are WONDERFUL!! I was greeted with a small gift basket from management. I never had to wait when I turned on my call light. I NEVER felt that I was a burden to the staff. Everyone was so considerate and helpful. I had a private room and the place was so clean! And I didn't have insurance other than Medicare. GREAT place. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Full disclosure, I don't know anyone who is a resident here I have been servicing them for about 15 years and can say that this facility is clean, well staffed, and well maintained. I would sleep well at night knowing that a loved was in their care should I ever be in that position.

Manor Grove provided the medical care and rehab services I needed to recuperate from a double femur fracture repair. The staff was top notch and I cannot say enough positive remarks to reflect the actual experience I had....i.e., staff came in just to see how I was doing even when they were assigned elsewhere; the progress I made showed on their faces as they watched me daily; they listened to my needs and helped me as best they could; Rehab Joan and Lesley ... WOW!; If you need a rehab center and are willing to work hard--Manor Grove is an excellent choice.
