This place is awesome. It is everything needed for all phases of Senior Living from independent living, assisted living, and limited memory living. The rental houses are so beautiful! Complete with garage, front porch and patio. The food is great and it even has a superb menu. You are served at your dining table, like a fine restaurant. I absolutely love this place! Everybody is so very friendly and helpful. All the residents I saw were joyful and interactive with each other. My tour guide, Roy Dean, is such a great person who shows care for everybody. A person everybody would benefit from his friendship. I cannot imagine anything anybody wanting to live in Mesquite, near 4 interstate highways and Town East Mall could not love about this place. I wish I would have taken pictures.

Moved my mom here after a series of falls and hospital visits at their sister assisted living place in Sachse. This place is so much more suited for her and she is a totally different person after they took over her care and her meds. She has been here 6 months and you wouldn't recognize her from back then as she was thought to only have days to live. The food is good and plenty of choices. There are some MEAN people who live there and it took her a few weeks to learn who to steer clear of but there are more nice people than mean people and she has finally gotten into a good group of folks who appreciate her as a friend. This was FOR SURE the right decision for her and I highly recommend taking a tour if you have a loved one needing assistance. I would go for lunch and hang around and watch the residents afterwards and you will notice most of them have smiles and nice greetings to say which is a great sign if you only have a short time to judge.

UPDATE: Now that my mom has lived at Cambridge for a year, I want to come back and brag a little more. I wish I could give Cambridge 10 stars!! We came in with so many emotions a year ago and if I knew how my mom would thrive, we would have moved her in a couple years prior. I visit my mom every day and have come to know and love the residents here along with the amazing staff at Cambridge, The staff here is the BEST! The office staff, med aides, caregivers, dining staff are all outstanding and I could write a compliment for everyone of them (Kidi, Janaye, Elaine, Bess, Fran, Amira, Zia, Mary Ann, Neomi, Charity, Ann, Angie and Maria, just to name a few) . Tina, the activity director keeps all the residents engaged and active, providing activities for the residents and their families. She does an outstanding job! Ray & Ray Jr keep the place in perfect maintenance and the new director Tracy seems to be just what Cambridge needed. Roy Deen is the Residence director and he is the backbone of Cambridge. He makes his presence known throughout the facility and every residence loves him. All the staff is very hands on, offering love and hugs to all the residence. The staff work so great together and it shows. I can't imagine my mom anywhere else and I am so so thankful that we call Cambridge her home. ***** Wow, wow, wow! I cannot say enough great things about Cambridge Court, Roy Dean, Elaine at the front desk, Kitty and everyone else that we came in contact with. We got to talk to several of the tenants and they all love it there and seem to be so happy. It’s such a clean, beautiful environment and the rooms/apartments are adorable. The chef has been there many many years and cooks for these residence like he is cooking for his family. The food is absolutely delicious. If you were looking for an assisted living residence or memory care or an independent cottage, I would highly recommend Cambridge Court.

On very short notice, I was searching for a new place for my husband. I visited several facilities and when I walked into Cambridge Court in Mesquite, I was immediately impressed. I met with Levi Malone and he answered all of my questions, was extremely friendly, professional and personable. I knew right away that Cambridge Court was the place we wanted to be. The staff is excellent, the facility is beautiful, clean and well kept. We made the move within a week and are so very happy to have him there. The food is great, there are lots of activities, and he is able to go outside and motor around in his wheelchair and seems so much happier than where he was before. When we got notice that we had to move him I was very distressed but can say now with all sincerity that I am so very glad we did. Cambridge Court has met all of our expectations and then some. They are a great group of people who truly care about their residents and families. Thank you.

My mother lived at CC for 14 years (2009-2023). And I would recomend it based on our experience. If it had been as bad as some of these reviews, I would NOT have kept her there. Is the staff perfect? No. Did we weather ups & downs with change in ownership and or managent?, yes. However, I NEVER had an experience where managment did not address a complaint or concern I brought up. There were times when we didnt like the answer, but come on, even the boss has a boss. And if bad enough, we have the option to inform the State of mistreatment. Thank God, My mom was NEVER mistreated, yes, she had aids from time to time that we complained about. But mistreatment was never allowed or tollerated. Luckily, I was able to advocate for my mom regularly. Many of the elderly don't have that support, so maybe sometimes a concern is overlooked. My biggest issue was when they scaled down staff, and expected more from the few remaining...that's not a good way to provide appropriate care. However, Carrie and those on the Wellness Team, heard me out and problems were resolved. The previous Director and then Carrie, went above and beyond multiple times,for us as moms health& abilities changed through the years. They were a God Send. I'm SO appreciative of the compasion shown to mom and our family. Thankyou all, and God Bless.

The place was beautiful. They treated my Mom with respect. They gave us reasonable prices. The place was clean. The reason for the 2 stars is i was needing a lawyer dealing in Elder Law and the lawyer they referred me to cheated me out of 5,000$. I found out later that the person that referred me to the lawyer group has a relative working at the lawyer's office, making me think that money is being transferred for referrals. My Mom passed away before the lawyer group could do anything. The lawyer group would not give me a full refund, a partial refund or even use the money toward any of their other services. Basically I paid 5,000$ for a few copies. The name of the lawyer group is HLM Assurance Group, John Marshall (Estate Planner).

I have a parent that has been at Cambridge Court for about five months now. The facility is bright and clean, and the people are warm and friendly. One person that has helped our family make this transition easier is a lead medication aide named Leslie. She’s always there when we have a question and truly goes beyond and above in every aspect of her job! She’s been an angel! My mother was an advanced Alzheimer's resident. I would visit frequently, on different shifts and days. The staff were always responsive and professional. Mom was engaged in activities, she was calm, and even when she couldn't recognize me, she was never stressed or afraid. Everything was always clean and the food was good. We were able to have little family parties to celebrate birthdays and holidays. They helped my whole family, not just my mother, during the progression of this terrible disease. We will always be grateful.

I have had a family member residing at Cambridge Court for about 4 years. It has been a wonderful experience. Whenever I have visited, I have been greeted with a smile and pleasant conversation. They listen to my concerns or complements. If I have questions, they answer them or guide me to someone who can. The facility has a home feel to it with decorations and furniture in the hallways. They decorate for holidays and special occasions to give the residents a festive environment in which to live. The facility is kept clean. Even after several months in quarantine last year, when I was able to visit, everything was surprisingly clean. The aids that I have known there are kind and helpful. They seem to truly care for my relative. They are helpful in the daily activities from helping with cleaning up and dressing, to help with straightening up the room, and getting them to meals and activities. During the quarantine, they helped me to communicate, they helped deliver gifts and snacks, and they let me know when something was needed. The med aids are also very helpful and keep me aware of needed supplies or medicine needs or problems. I am very pleased with the care that is given to my relative. I would recommend Cambridge Court for assisted living.

My mother has made Cambridge Court her home for 18 months. It has been a wonderful experience. The staff are caring, patient and consistently give me the feeling they love their jobs. I have been extremely impressed by something many may feel is insignificant - the facility always smells good! I love the fact that a pleasant person is going to be coming to her room numerous times daily: to give her medications, empty trash, give a reminder of meals or events taking place. And they even check on her through the evening. My previous concerns about her living independently was her falling often and not being found for hours. Assisted living was the answer. My family and I are so very thankful for Cambridge Court Assisted Living Facility and the wonderful staff lead by their top-notch leader, Joy Pepper. My mother-in-law was there soon after the facility opened. She lived their for almost nine years. We went through five directors before Joy came. She brought so much "joy" and fun to Cambridge Court. She brought stability and good care. She surrounded herself with a fantastic staff. I know that they have some staff who come and go but I believe, on the most part, that they come and learn how to love on and care for the residents and get so good at it, that they receive offers for other jobs. Joy then gets to work to find others to take their place. She surrounds herself with good people! Cambridge Court was "home" to my mother-in-law. It became "home" for us, as well. We never felt like we were intruding or not welcome. We fell in love with not only the staff but the residents as well. In fact, my mother visited many of her friends there. When she turned 90 after the unexpected death of her closest friend, she began to tell me that she wanted to move to Cambridge Court. In a way, it was a difficult decision for me (at first) because she lived five houses down from me. However, I knew that it was the best decision for her! My mother became very actively involved and loved every minute of it. She loved the residents, her beautiful room and the wonderful staff! I think she also loved the food and that everything was always so fresh and clean, and she didn't have to do any of it. 🙂 Without hesitation, I highly recommend Cambridge Court Assisted Living Facility. We have wonderful memories of our twelve plus years there that we called "home" for our loved ones! Thanks to Joy Pepper and staff for so many good times and for loving on and caring for our most precious family!

I placed my husband Darall in the Memory Care at Cambridge Court about three months ago. This was a very difficult decision to make, however Darall has settled in well in the Memory Care. He likes the meals, the aides are very kind and caring and when ever I visit or drop in the facility always looks very clean. The staff always listens to any concerns one may have about one's loved one and they quickly address it. So all in all I am satisfied with the care Darall is receiving at Cambridge Court.

My wife has been in the memory care community for three years with Alzheimer's. We looked at a number of places and as soon as we met Joy pepper the executive Director and David Barnes the Director of Marketing went on a tour we New we had found the right place because the building is nice and very clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The price was also a part of the reason we picked Cambridge Court. I have called them and they have called me at all hours of the day and night to keep informed on how your loved one is doing and problems that come up. The food is good and you can visit any time. If you are looking for a facility whether it is Assisted Living or memory care I would highly recommend Cambridge Court.
