My mom has lived in this home for several years. I visit often, always unannounced, on various days/times and am greeted by friendly staff at the door. The facility is clean and my mom is always cared for in a professional manner. Communication is frequent and I appreciate the updates so I am never surprised. My mom is non-ambulatory which has not been an issue.

I would recommend Genesis Manor VI as a place to care for your loved one. They provided excellent care for my brother for over 5 years. The staff is compassionate and very attentive. My brother had Huntington's Disease, a very difficult and serious disease to care for. Genesis Manor gave my brother the best care possible. They were always concerned for his needs and provided for them the best anyone could of. I never once worried about the care he was receiving. They helped give me peace about a very difficult situation. The staff at the Alta Loma facility, where my brother was, are excellent. The facility was always clean and well kept. They always let me know when my brother needed something in ample time for me to get it. They were willing to discuss different options for his care when he had difficulties. I always felt they went beyond what was expected of them. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care my brother received. I truly never had a problem in over 5 years. I would urge you to strongly consider Genesis Manor VI.

My mom who suffers from Dementia moved into Genesis Manor VI 3 years ago this past September. After searching for quite some time I found Genesis Manor VI to be the atmosphere I was hoping to find within a home for her. She receives home cooked meals daily, I always find her clean and in fresh clothes and her room is always neat and tidy. The caregivers and owners have been wonderful to both me and my mom and if a doctor is needed they are very prompt at contacting them and then updating me on the situation. I would recommend that if you are looking for care for a family member that you contact them, they are fairly reasonable in costs, listen to your concerns, contact you immediately if their is an issue and have an open door policy.

We as a family could not praise Gerry Markie and her team enough! Our father age 83 suffered from congenital heart disease. He entered Genesis VI after our mother passed away. He was apprehensive in leaving his home but understood that he was unable to care for himself. Upon arrival he was immediately welcomed by Gerry and her amazing staff, her care workers, Josie, Eric, Boy and Letty. The home setting was much easier for my father to adapt to as he had spent many weeks in various nursing homes recovering and they seemed understaffed and uncaring. Genesis VI was always clean, and there was a minimum of 2 workers (sometimes more) to a maximum 6 patients. They cooked very healthy meals paying attention to all of their residents needs. Helping to cut up their food or feed if needed. They helped to bathe and dress. Laundry was done nightly and my father's clothes were always laid out for him. They accompanied my father on walks and made sure he got out for fresh air and sunshine. The activities centered on the abilities of the residents and our father made good friends with them as well as the staff. The staff was always helpful in getting my father ready to go, whether it was to the doctors or just a family outing. Gerry Markie was instrumental in handling the mountain of paperwork involved with the Assisted Living Waiver Program that was a great financial help. She strictly monitored my father and his medical needs. We never felt uncomfortable with our father living there. They gave my father 24 hour superb care!

We chose Genesis Manor VI for my mom because we really liked the community and appearance. The residents are more alert and awake then at other communities. My mother was in a different community and the residents there just seemed like zombies, I was there 5 or 6 times to visit and no residents said anything they would just sit in front of the TV and stare. Ever since moving my mother here that dope stage is going away and she is more awake and alert. The residents here say hi and are actually talking. The food here is wonderful. We are very happy with Genesis and would recommend it to anyone.
