Clean facility with vegetation and wildlife to enjoy around it. Owners are a local family so they can often be found on site checking in with staff and sharing a laugh or story with the residents. There’s personal accountability there that you don’t always see. I work at an apartment community in the area and when I have a long term resident ready to transition from living on their own to assisted care, this is the first place I recommend!

We needed some place where mom would get the same or better care than her family could give her. The setting and family like atmosphere at Chesapeake Cottage Assisted Living at 6625 Whitesburg Road in Snow Hill, Md. was the ideal setting. Most staff are on a first name basis with the family members, especially Miss Ty and Alissa, along with the manager Mikesha Ballard. Always encourage the clients to participate in activities or events to stimulate or engage as their ability allows. The cook, Mr. Matthews always prepares home cooked meals along with fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms and markets when available. The setting is quiet and quaint and just minutes from Salisbury and Snow Hill, Maryland.

Greatest LTC facility in the area, they took excellent care of my Aunt Nellie Whoopie for several years and made sure her meals were warm and her room warm and welcoming. Is suggest you check this place out right away if you have a family member needing care in their latter years!

Absolutely the kindest group of folks I have met. I have visited many assisted living facilities and this one tops the list. Their small family atmosphere is perfect for someone with FTD. My spouse has been struggling with dementia for quite a few years and I have been searching for just this type of caring atmosphere. The owner, Seth, is the kindest person I have met in an owner. He truly cares about both residents and the family and goes out of his way to make both feel comfortable. Mikesha, the manager has been there for over 10 years and is dedicated to providing the personal touch for all residents. She is truly invested in every residents well being. She is a pleasure to speak with and makes you feel comfortable and confident that your loved one will be well cared for.

The choice to opt for assisted living is never an easy one, for the resident or their family. However, the staff at Chesapeake Cottage were greatly appreciated during a very difficult time. Mikesha and the ladies who worked there treated our mother with kindness and patience. She was well fed and kept clean and cared for. Our family and friends were able to visit freely and always welcome. I honestly don’t know how we would have coped without them!

Really enjoyed the staff especially Mikesha, when I first toured she said her residents family members became her extended family and that is definitely true. Even when we had to get Hospice involved at the end, they were so attentive to make my mom's final days pain free and she was well taken care of. I am eternally grateful for the great care.

Chesapeake Cottage Assidted Living is the best place for your family members, if needed. They were absolutely wonderful to my mom. Mikesha and staff took the BEST care of mom. My father was a resident of this community. First Chef I would love to thank you for all the wonderful meals. My dad loved to eat and you made sure he always had seconds. Next the staff was wonderful always cheerful and helpful. The great room and bedrooms were always clean and smelled nice. My dad called the staff his baby dolls and laughed with them a lot. I only had one minor issue and that was the nurse on staff at times would not respond to questions directly. May you all be blessed.

A year ago we were in dire need of a place for my mother-in-law to go I contacted Chesapeake Cottage Assisted Living and spoke with a lovely man named Mr Seth he was so very helpful and was also able to hold her spot for a year until we were able to get things situated and for that we were very grateful we love this place the staff is great the facility is always clean you feel like family when you walk in the updates are amazing the activities awesome hands down the best place on Eastern Shore
