Choosing the right home for my mom was a very difficult decision, but as soon as I found Tranquility it really wasn't. When we entered the front door, it felt right. The residents were very happy and well cared for, my mom moved in a few months ago and we couldn't be more pleased. The family enjoys visiting and participating in activities with mom and the other residents. The staff are very responsive to answering our questions and are very patient with us.

The Strong Organisation

It's like a family here at tranquility, with very friendly and caring care givers. They cater to our seniors with tender loving care. Our administrators too always have a listening and understanding ear to reach us at our point of need. This is why team members keep giving their best all to our seniors. I remain fired up, and always ready to go. My gratitude to all team members, who help make things happen here, to remain tranquil.

My Mom's transformation since moving to Tranquillity has been nothing short of astounding. She was reluctant to move into assisted living - VERY reluctant - but living alone in a large split-level home after my father's death wasn't going well. With the advice and support of Executive Director Terri Miller and the Tranquillity staff, we made the transition. Under their care and supervision, Mom's health stabilized. She's going to exercise class every day, making floral arrangements, winning at Bingo and enjoying friendships. In choosing Tranquillity the keys for me were the quality of the facility, on-site medical care and the staff engagement I observed. Everyone is responsive and always informed about what's going on with my Mom. Best decision ever.

I have so much to share about our experience with moving our 88-year-old mother to Tranquillity. My brothers and I didn't realize mom had dementia until last summer, during a visit together to where she was living independently, at which point we all really saw that she had lost her short-term memory. After the Assisted Living facility closest to my one brother turned mom down because they didn't have enough staff to handle her overnight panic attacks, that facility recommended I tour three other nearby facilities, one of which was Tranquillity. Tranquillity was hands-down the friendliest of the three, and the longevity of the staff there was the thing that clinched it - a culture of respect, competence, and joy pervades. I can see how they've kept so many of their staff for over ten years in an industry fraught with turnover. Mom is now very glad to be there (she definitely wasn't at first!) and has now made real connections with other residents and staff. She plays cards with other residents, participates in almost every activity - keeping actively engaged lessens her anxiety. Moving a loved one to Assisted Living is a traumatic experience for the individual and their family, laced with the peace that comes with knowing they are, now, safe and cared for. Mom has been there 3 1/2 months as I write this review. It has been and continues to be quite a journey, managing her panic attacks and sometimes difficult social behavior is an ongoing project. I live 2,000 miles from mom; my youngest brother lives 1/2 an hour away. I have her medical and financial Power of Attorney, so I work together with my brother and sister-in-law to manage mom's care. It is a complicated communication. My mom and my brothers' ongoing goodwill and trust, coupled with Tranquillity's wonderful staff, have made this difficult journey of memory loss one colored with love, laughter, and true caring. There have been challenges, no question. We have been able to work them out with staff, who have been compassionate and dedicated to supporting both us and mom. I am so very grateful to have found Tranquillity and that mom can afford it.

Bright and beautiful spaces to live and visit in! I am always impressed by how the community is so well taken care of whenever I visit, it is always clean and welcoming. They have a wonderful caring and experienced team. The engagement calendar has a fabulous variety of things for the residents to choose from- outings, music, exercise, crafting, church and spiritual offerings, social events and more! I would highly recommend Tranquillity to anyone looking for Assisted Living or Memory Support options for their loved ones.

While I do have some slight issues with some parts of Tranquility, overall, I think they do an excellent job. Theyre very clean, always on the ball with cleanliness. The staff clearly care, and do their best to make everyone feel at home. The grounds are well-kept, the floors are nice and shiny. Theres good places to walk, and a nice patio to sit out front. The staff and the residents are all nice and friendly. My cat is also treated very well, along with our other friends cat, and our other dog friend. Pets are very well treated.

Sent on behalf of Betty Tabaka I have been a resident of Tranquillity at Fredericktown for almost 3 years. I commend the entire staff for providing a caring, engaging, and safe environment. The challenge asks that you identify specific staff who have made a difference in your life at Tranquillity. For me that is impossible, I would be assured of omitting some very special person. Virtually every staff member, regardless of their individual role, has enriched my experience and showed caring, empathy, and attention to the emotional details, particularly during the pandemic. I live in the assisted living component of the facility, but this sentiment extends to the staff in the memory care unit as well. Although I dont have constant contact with them, they greet me with smiles and encouragement on every engagement. The staff also has embraced my special needs grandson with open arms, nurturing his exuberance and encouraging his positive interaction with residents and staff. Kudos to the ENTIRE staff. The person to person touchpoints make all the difference and make this a special place to live! I trust this will count for more than one vote in the challenge.

Since covid has precluded being able to visit with my mother in the facility, my review is based on my experiences prior to the restrictions and the more limited interactions with non-direct care staff during the covid quarantine. For the most part, the majority of staff I have interacted with do their work competently and conscientiously. There are some staff who are exceptional in their concern and care for the residents. The facility is well kept and clean. I would normally give a 4 star rating since there have been some experiences that would preclude me from wanting to give the top rating. However, a higher rating is deserved given the extraordinary circumstances of having to do their job in the time of covid and the fact that there are those good people working there and they appear to have risen to the occasion.

Not only did they do what they promised they did more than we couldve ever expected. When I first moved to Tranquillity I was not ready for assisted living. I was feeling lonely and angry, until I met the wonderful staff and residents at Tranquillity. They made it a point to spend lots of time with me. They took me out to eat and to my appointments. I love all the nurses because they take the extra time to make sure that my questions are answered and my needs are met. They make me feel like I am special but when I talk with my co-residents they tell me they feel the same way. I would highly recommend everyone who is nervous about moving to know that Tranquillity will make you feel at home.

Tranquillity at Fredericktowne has always welcomed my clients with open arms. Their care team is top notch as well as their activities and programs. The culinary skills are also impressive providing restaurant style dining with tasty meals in a lovely dining area filled with an abundance of natural light. The building is always clean and offers a variety of room styles from studios to two bedroom options. In an industry with high turnover, Tranquillitys team has a remarkable length of tenure with some team members being there for 2 decades! Most importantly, this is a community that truly ages in place. When care needs increase, they will offer the care needed and work with hospice to support their residents. I continue to refer my clients to Tranquillity because my past clients have given steadfast positive feedback on the quality care provided.

I would definitely recommend Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. They took such good care of my Dad. My Dad loved living there and I always felt he was well taken care of. He loved his meals too. He was insulin dependent and they kept his glucose under control even though he had a sweet tooth. He also had some dementia, so they always kept an eye on him. They now have a dementia section for dementia patients. A special thank-you to all the staff plus Esther and Terry.

It was not an easy decision to put my dad into assisted living, but my fathers needs far exceeded what my brothers and sisters and I could provide for him.. In the weeks after he became a resident at Tranquity it was clearly the right choice. His mental and physical health improved rapidly thanks to the therapy sessions. He was no longer so reliant on his walker and his speech and accuity cleared up as well. Most importantly, he became friends with the staff and other residents. Its clear that he is happy and feels like he is part of a community and no longer a burden to his children.

The staff at Tranquility is wonderful and the care they have displayed to both of my parents has been exceptional. It is confusing and difficult for a family to handle all the aspects of a move, (LTC insurance, handling of personal items,...), especially with two parents with totally different physical and mental needs. The staff has gone above and beyond in accommodating my parents while constantly keeping in touch with the family regarding their affairs. The home like atmosphere is comforting and they offer many activities and outings to their residents.

The staff at Tranquility went above and beyond our expectations in making Bill feel welcomed and at home during his time there. From the first day when so many of the staff and residents stopped by to introduce themselves and welcome him through his final day when they were checking on him and doing everything possible to keep him safe and comfortable, Bill was treated respectfully and lovingly - like dear family. We were contacted anytime a question or concern arose. Activities and opportunities were always available. He was encouraged to be social making us pleased that he didn't just exist in solitude in his room. Great relationships were formed, and we knew he was in great care. Tranquility is a wonderful, caring environment.
