My room. My decorations. NOISY lazy employees. 100 "patients. VERY slow with coffee and water. Underripe fresh fruit lot's of canned stuff. Employee lounge looks very well appointed. No water for half hour at breakfast. Slovenly kitchen and serving staff.

I brought my Mother here for an intake evaluation. Shavell, Debra and the front desk lady were wonderful. Nida, the RN who does the assessment was terrible. She wouldn’t listen to my Mother when she asked her questions and Nida kept her music loudly playing while speaking to us. Nida told us we most likely wouldn’t be accepted because my Mother has SSI. I told Nida over and over again I would be paying for my Mother so she would be private pay. Nida then called her Business Manager in front of me and they came to the conclusion that we couldn’t afford St. Francis. “They can start private pay but most likely wouldn’t be able to keep paying that way. I agree.” Nida said in front of us. Nida was rude, dismissive and went out of her way to make us feel like we weren’t good enough for the facility. Nida also informed us the new Owners weren’t taking SSI people or people who used Sutter Pace program because those people don’t pay. What a horrible woman and if what Nida says is true, the Owners are horrible as well. Lucky for us, we found another place that was wonderful. They didn’t have a problem with me paying for my Mothers stay nor did they feel it was necessary to treat us poorly because I am doing so.

The residents for the most part are happy and friendly and the care givers are caring. There are activities for the residents on most days so they stay as busy as they want to. One of the biggest things is they offer several church related services each week. The food is good and it is the type that most seniors seem to like. One of the big things is it is affordable.
