As a hospice worker, I have interacted with the team at sweetbriar for 6 years. Throughout that time many of the team members have remained consistent. The current manager, Nicole, has always been great to work with and she is who I look to when an urgent placement is needed because she works efficiently. I have a lot of faith in this team and I love the building with its courtyard, rose garden, cozy living room. It’s homey and sweet just like the name says.

I would like to say that the staff at Sweet Briar is amazing from there front desk worker Izzy all the way to the facility director Nicole Hample. The care staff are always so helpful when it come to the residents and family members, I've seen alot a care facilities and this one makes the residents feel like there right at home. five stars for sure.

We would like to provide Sweetbriar Villa’s staff with a big five star shoutout! Nicole, their Executive Director, is quick to respond to clients needing to be admitted. She even worked a Saturday and Sunday to make sure a resident would be ready for a Monday move-in. As we move residents in at Sweetbriar the caregivers are warm and supportive. They immediately make residents feel at home and make sure their needs are met. We look forward to working with Sweetbriar’s staff with many more of our clients

My wife was diagnosed with leukemia and entered HOSPICE We had to end up after a short time entering assisted living.. sweetbrier signed us up, took our money and unfortunately she passed 3 days later. I tried to contact the person who I thought was ahead of the financial end, not once but numerous times with no success no one has returned my calls about what my financial obligations are, or if .any of my original amount will be refunded or what. I find this completely unprofessional. And when a family member went to pick up her belongings they pointed her to the room and she had to pack them and it was noted that the toilet was not even flushed. Nice facility but not professional personnel.

The staff at this place made this difficult transition easier. They were all very friendly and helpful. They were patient with all of our questions and I feel comfortable knowing they are taking good care of my grandparents. I will definitely be recommending Sweetbriar Villa!

Sweetbriar Villa, even though it's part of a for-profit corporation (like 98% of all assisted living options), operates with a human face. My father lived at Sweetbriar for four months before passing in late January 2022. The last 2 1/2 months he was on hospice. I appreciated that everyone I interacted with always showed me how much they care about doing the right thing whenever possible. The 'maintenance' director always did SO MUCH MORE than just that job description, and helped with safety, and fixed things BEFORE anyone else noticed. The care staff was always under-staffed - not their fault - but they always did the best they could with the people they had. In particular, J*** always gave special care to my dad <3. The executive director had to walk a tightrope of pleasing her corporate penny-pinching 'we only care about Return On Investment to our Shareholders' supervisors (my description, not hers), and trying to do her utmost best to ensure quality, humane care for my father. I felt like she really cared and made a difference in my father's last months. This smaller facility doesn't have as many resources as some larger places, but residents don't lost in the shuffle, which is huge. Due to COVID, and my father's condition, we had ZERO choices on where my father could stay. We were lucky my father ended up there.

I do not have a loved one in this facility, but I have had a chance to interact with the staff several times as part of an outreach program I'm involved in. The staff's excitement and enthusiasm for our project was so apparent, it is obvious these folks really care for their residents and their experiences. Every interaction I've had has gone back to how our project will benefit the residents, which really warms my heart. These employees care about what they do and the people under their watch.

My mother in law lives at Sweetbriar. We are extremely happy with the staff. Brandy Harris is a blessing , she enteracts with the residents, knows them by name, she has sat with my mother in law as she was up set, she has dementia can not remember where she is at, Brandy sat and calmed her down. Most places you don't see the director helping their residents, getting someone food to them, getting them a drink. She ia a one of a kind, we will miss seeing her smiles .

Very accommodating and friendly. Brandy has done a wonderful job helping through this difficult transition. All staff I have interacted with have been very friendly and helpful. Note: this is during the pandemic where they could not be as accommodating to visits as everyone would have liked.

I was worried when it was time to find placement for Mom. But as a nurse, I had prior good experiences with Sweetbriar Villa and this was my first choice. It exceeded my expectations! Mom has LOVED living there. She has fun at BINGO, arts n crafts and especially singing. She calls me 3 times a day to report on her delicious meals. I think she is happier there than she was living at home with me for 12 years. She’s enjoying making new friends with the other residents and the staff.

They have done an amazing job during the pandemic....keeping the residents healthy and happy. Moving my mom to an assisted living facility was very emotional and stressful.
