The Activity group headed by Dorothea and her staff Lupe, Verlene, La Vada, and Dominick are superb providers of a variety of games, excursions, and entertainment here at Avamere. There are many choices available on a daily schedule as well as a celebration of seasons and holidays during the year. Always personable , friendly and informative they know each of our names. We always are included and have a great time!! This is definitely a highlight and adds to the quality of life at our community.

I've been living here for four years. I'm happy to have Lupe as my housekeeper; she's helped me a lot because my deception isn't perfect. She's a very kind person, and I just hope she stays here for a long time. I have such a great time at Dororthea's activities that I don't have time to get angry.

Nancy was a great resource. Perfect person to have in that position. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Answered all questions and explained options. This was the 5th of 6 facilities I picked to check out for my mother-in-law and Nancy made it the best of all 6. Not immediately, but in the next few months, I will be working towards a placement for my mother-in-law and will contact Nancy again.

I have lived here just over two years and I find it has great employees. I especially would like to complement Debbie, who is a server in our Dining room. She does outstanding work getting things done for the residents and she is always cheerful and talkative. When you place an order with Debbie, she gets it back to you very quickly. I appreciate that Debbie is always in a very good mood, which is very important here as we are mostly quite elderly and it’s always nice to see a smile.

The restaurant in there has the best food ever... they have a professional chef and a professional pastry chef...We went to at least four different places before we decided on this one.. The wait staff and kitchen staff are amazing.. I usually sit in a certain area two or three days a week having lunch with my friend Brad who's living there and Ive had servers such as Philip, Eddie, and Debbie... I see Jose and Michelle from the back of the house when they have friday barbecues, which are free to visiting guest.. The chef also comes out and visits the tables often .....can you believe it..There are many other servers that have been there quite a long time and it 's nice to see that they stay for such long periods of time as there is absolutely no tipping whatsoever... I hope that Avamere pays their staff appropriately so they can keep them there as they are amazing. I am lucky we found Avamere and that the food is awesome and the wait staff in the restaurant is amazing... I'm focusing on this because I used to be a server for years and understand completely everything about it... If I had another hour, I would talk about the actual other employees throughout the facility as well as the nursing staff, the management, the front desk, all amazing, kind, thoughtful and they bend over backwards whenever needed or just go out of their way without being asked... I highly recommend Avamere which is one of the most decently priced senior living places in this town..

A wonderful property. Caring staff. Events/Crafts/Live music/Outings, and the list goes on. Avamere is more like a destination resort. The dining room is an especially extraordinary place. I stopped by to have lunch with my relative, and most people were pleasant. The service was slow, which wasn’t a concern, but there was one staff member (she was not wearing a name tag) who was not very friendly and appeared irritated with the residents. She was rude and had an attitude.

Over the past year, I've learned how difficult running an assisted living facility can be. And I believe Avamere is doing a fantastic job considering all of the daily issues that can arise. Just over a year ago, before my 97 year old father moved in, I was always worried about his care living at home with minimal assistance. After moving into Avamere, I can now sleep peacefully at night knowing the care he's getting. His overall health has actually improved for many reasons including a new social network, regular healthy meals and exercise to name a few. He'll be 99 this year and is showing no signs of slowing down. Thank-you Avamere ;^)

Parking for guest is not very good,especially in the heat. Also pick up and drop off of residents is difficult when they have walkers and wheelchairs. I have seen visiting medical workers parked in the handicap parking, not emergency services. Employees that I have encountered are very friendly and helpful.

My grandfather moved in a month ago and we are very pleased. The staff is eager to be helpful and make us feel welcome. Avamere feels like a home with lots of friendly people and positive energy. There are numerous outdoor, shaded and furnished patios. His room is spacious and bright. Maintenance and housekeeping keeps the place in good order. They have a nice variety of entertainment. The food is excellent. Free lunch BBQ"s on Friday's for family and friends. Visiting our loved one there has been something we look forward to doing.

Moved in-laws to Avamere in March. The staff is great, especially Caprice and Nancy. Med Techs are very accommodating, the restaurant is open all day, facility is very clean and good bus trips for residents. We love this place.

My father and I visited a number of places and settled on the one that is the furthest from me. Avamere at Cheyenne has restaurant dining! We love it, family are invited to eat with their loved one for a small price but the Friday BBQ lunch is free. There is at least 6 activities a day which is another reason my dad and I decided on Avamere. I personally love the director he has a heart for the older generation and knows how to hire the right people to help make their lives better. I thank God for Nancy, she encouraged me to look at Avamerep. My dad has been in Avamere for a few months now and he is definitely doing better than at home. My mama and I met with Tegan on July 28. We were impressed with Avamere, and Tegan answered all of our questions and put our minds at ease. She helped us navigate the process of moving into Assisted Living. She introduced my mama to residents and made her feel at home. On moving day, Nicole met us and welcomed us and there was a welcome sign on my mama's apartment door. We are very happy with the choice to move to Avamere and I am so pleased with the friendly, caring atmosphere they have in place.

Trying to find a good place for my sister was not easy - but thanks to some wonderful resourceful people they guided me to the right new home for my sister and I am very happy. From the beginning of the process Tegan Dein, Manager at Avamere was extremely helpful, attentive to our needs and responded every email and text message I sent with precise information and excellent customer support. The day of admission she was there for us to help us do paperwork and get my sister situated. I felt a feeling of comfort, knowing my sister will be in a good place she can now call home. I want to thank Tegan for being such a great advocate and expressing her caring ways. This was not an easy transition, yet - she made sure we were taken care of. We appreciate you Tegan! As for Avamere, it is a clean place, they have many activities on site with different choices for every resident. It is a nice building with clean decor and courteous staff.

Avamere at Cheyenne is amazing place! We looked high and low for a place for our 84 yr old mom. Assisted living comes in all shapes and sizes and oh my gosh....so many different levels of care 😮 My mom is somewhat independent but, now needs help with day to day tasks. I found Avamere to be a perfect fit for my mom. I immediately felt warm and fuzzy when I walked into the building. It has such a positive energy. The staff is kind, caring and very upbeat. The real test came when I brought "mom" to check it out. My mom felt the same. Fast forward, mom moved in a little over a week ago and to my amazement she loves it! She has made new friends and loves the daily activities. She says the food is very very good! I am overjoyed for her. She has regained her independence and dignity and most of all, I love that I can be her daughter again 🙂 Thank you to all the staff at Avamere for making my moms move so easy and seamless! Tegan has taken my calls for a year and a half. She educated me on assisted living and most importantly what it’s like for elders and their families. She made us feel not alone. We recently moved mom into Avamere at Cheyenne. She absolutely loves it. Mom is participating in various activities such as, Bingo and exercise, and has made new friends. The facility is clean and updated. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. We are glad that mom is getting the help she needs to stay as independent as she can be. Tegan made the admission process much easier than it might have been if not for all her hard work. The whole family is so grateful we found Avamere at Cheyenne.

I got the opportunity to volunteer here. If and when it becomes necessary for me to live at an assisted living facility; this is the one I would go to. I have seen several of these places both here in Las Vegas and also a couple in California. This one "takes the prize". I was given a tour by the BOM (Business Office Manager) DeAnna and met many of the residents. They were all happy and seemed to enjoy living there. DeAnna was very professional but also showed some fun loving spirit. The decor is very welcoming and I enjoyed my visit there. I even got to play bingo with the residents while I was there. Good times.

Thank the Lord for Tegan and the rest of the staff at Avamere! I was so sad when I had to make the decision to put my Mimi in assisted living. All the stories you see on the news really are scary. Right from the beginning Tegan and the rest of the staff made me and my Mimi feel right at home. I feel like Tegan will treat her as if she were her own Mimi.

I was so sad and scared to have to make this huge decision for the well being of my mother. She was extremely scared to have to uproot her entire life and make a change like this in her 80's. The team at Avamere at Cheyenne held our hands ever step of the way. From the first tour to the move-in was seamless. My anxiety settled the moment I stepped foot into the building. I will forever be grateful for the staff of this facility. Knowing this may be the last place my Mother will ever live is sad and scary. Loved this community. Tegan helped us get my grandma situated. Explained every step of the process. The staff made my grandma feel welcome and help her in everyday stuff. Tegan always checks in on her and makes sure she never feels alone. I highly recommend this location.
