A lovely community tucked back in the heart of town. The internal team is quite welcoming and the center feels lively and engaging for residents. The external outreach team, Shannon, Amber & Becca in particular, are lovely to work with; truly invested in quality and the continuum of care.

A Goldilocks Option for Senior Living My professional organizing company has been assisting a family with a loved one at Highgate at Paoli Point for about two years. We visit with the resident once a month, or more if needed, and provide a clear-eyed view of his living and care situation back to his family. This community neatly fills a need for aging residents who do well in their own small apartment, supported by a dining room, minimal nursing care, and group activities. The staff and residents are friendly and caring. Unlike other senior living facilities in the area, the building isn’t too large or stuffed with overpriced amenities. This may be the Goldilocks of senior living in this area. It is not ideal for seniors who are bed-bound or who have significant or rapidly worsening medical needs. Since our client has lived there, we’ve seen facility repairs like a ceiling repair and an elevator repair take longer than we’d like (there is a second working elevator just steps away), but neither changed the quality of life on-site, and were eventually addressed. The place is always clean, smells good, and seasonally decorated. I would like to see them bring back their van service, but we’ve been able to arrange transportation through Surrey Services and Uber when needed. Residents are able to keep their cars. The parent company, Genesis Healthcare, is re-organizing, and that has led to a bit of staff turnover, but we’ve always been able to reach staff who are able to address resident and family concerns. People genuinely seem to care about the residents. I hope Genesis continues to keep this facility open, as Highgate at Paoli Point provides a safe home for seniors at a moderate price.

The Renaissance of Highgate Paoli: I've just come from four-days of visiting at Highgate with my 75-year old brother. He's been living at Highgate for over a year and is happy, healthy and well-entertained. Yes, the facility has been through some challenging times, but has emerged as the gem it's meant to be. We both love the elegant look and feel of this classic building. The entire building is now immaculate and has been beautifully decorated for Christmas. I live in the Midwest and have been managing my brother's care from afar. I've spoken at length with many of the staff and was greeted like a long-lost friend when I arrived. Reception knew where my brother was and what he'd been doing that day. We had a chat and a laugh about my gentle, sweet brother.My last evening there, my brother was sitting down to play Bingo with the other residents, and joined by a local group of boisterous Girl Scouts.There's now a lovely happy, holiday feel at Highgate Paoli.

I am so grateful to have found this place for my 86-year-old father, who needed a memory care unit. If ever you opened a pamphlet or website with hope that it would live up to all that is said, this would be the place. From the first interaction with Reese in admissions, to the transfer day when my dad was greeted by all the key managers, it was a wonderful experience. The program director in charge of the area, Nicole, was kind, knowledgeable and handled everything with a compassionate professionalism. The place is very clean and organized, the staff compassionate, and communication was open for any needs. Dad loved the loved the food and the occasional events like live music. It gave me peace of mind to know that he was being looked after by loving, capable hands. Many thanks to Highgate (Paoli Point Senior Living).

The staff is caring and has great communication skills. My loved one has been there a week and a half and they have gone out of their way to try to anticipate his needs as he isn’t very verbal. When I’m visiting the staff pops in often to see how he’s doing. They all have made this incredibly difficult transition easier than I could have imagined.

I am a Hospice Care Consultant for Compassus Hospice. We have used Highgate at Paoli Pointe for several patients on respite, and the quality of care has been impeccable. They delivered seamless, fully integrated care with our Hospice team, providing the patient and family with comfort and peace during a difficult time. They make a wonderful care-delivery partner.

When our father Vernon Newhouse fell at his assisted living facility, he ended up in the hospital. After a lengthy stay at the hospital, then a nursing home, the family decided he needed further assistance. Being Dad also has dementia, a facility that could accommodate him, was the main priority. After visiting a few places, and even being admitted to another Memory Care facility (the distance and size of facility was an issue), I found Highgate at Paoli Pointe. The tour and information provided by Reese Castellano-Lowy made me feel really understood in what our Dad needed. The ease of choosing a rooms floor plan, to the personal needs of a parent with dementia, was all such a smooth transition, it's been such a relief. Dad has lived there now for a few months on the memory care floor, and he's become a new man. He is content and back to his old happy ways. The staff on the memory care floor including Nicole Battaglio, the Memory Support Director, and head nurse Mary, take care of Dad like he's their own family. Most importantly, our Dad is safe. My MIL resisted going into a home but seems very happy here. Update: Now that she has been there for a few months, she still seems happy. She has regular hair appointments, family is able to visit and take her out for visits, and the staff keeps up well informed and updated on her care.

Our experience with Highgate has been great so far! We moved my grandmother in about 2 months ago and have nothing but great things to say thus far. The staff is friendly, communicative, and very caring for their residents. They respond to emails regarding any questions you have very quickly and informatively. My grandmother seems to like her experience so far as well. They brought puppies in a few weeks ago for the residents to play with which I thought was very nice. The facility itself is very home-y feeling which was one reason my family was drawn to this place. From the layout of the building to the decor, my grandmother seems very at home here.

I moved in here in July with my service dog Sarah we could not be happier. The staff have gone out of their way to make sure that we feel at home. Sarah is very comfortable here she’s made friends with many of the staff. The food it’s good and everybody that I’ve met like it here making friends with the other residence is difficult with the COVID-19 restrictions. The nursing staff is excellent they care you’re quick to serve and our friendly. The whole property is being renovated as materials become Available.

I have a loved one living at Highgate at Paoli Point within the Memory Care Floor also called Homestead. The accommodations are nice in that she has a little "apt" with an area for her bed and a separate living area plus a full size refrigerator which I can keep stocked with treats. I like it in that she has her own space yet I have the comfort and peace of mind that there are staff that check on her. She gets her meals in a community dining room where she has been seated with others she can chat with. She enjoys the food and company. The staff is very caring and gets her involved in activities as much as she wants. There are music events and visits by dogs as part of pet therapy. Events get residents involved and engaged which is necessary when dealing with folks having dementia. What I have noticed is that the staff knows all the residents by name, both on the Memory Care floor as well as the Assisted Living floors. Although my mother had a difficult time adjusting at first (which I have found is typical when dealing with this), she has settled into a routine and that has been for the most part by the staff. I would recommend this facility to others.
