My mother is currently a resident in the memory care unit at Exton Senior Living. In the past year, she has been in four different facilities. This is definitely the best of them. Initially, I wasn't happy about their assessment and decision to put her in the memory care unit. I quickly changed my mind when I saw the level of care that she is receiving. I visit at all different times and I have never found my mother in her room. She is always with the group engaged in some sort of activity or watching a movie with the other residents. They always have an eye on all of the residents. They dont allow them to stay in bed. They get them up and dressed and try to keep them busy throughout the day. The staff are very friendly. Ana, the director, is a huge asset. She is very involved in the care of residents. My mom calls her the owner. I was impressed to see her go around and say goodbye and good night to everyone when she was done for the day. She keeps my family up to date on the needs of our mother. I've never seen someone in her position be more involved and dedicated to their job. Her dedication rubs off on her staff. I feel comfortable that my mother is getting excellent care. Better than she could get at home. They do a family dinner every month and invite the entire family to come and enjoy a meal together. The chef does a great job. He too cares about his job and checks with us regularly to make sure that everyone is happy with the food. There may be other facilities out there that look nicer, but none that we have found that care as much as they do at Exton Senior living. Thank you all.

Mom moved into memory care in 2023. The team here is wonderful and always has been. Ana, PJ, Linda and the entire team every day finds the person inside of you who is still there despite the challenges that life presents to someone with severe dementia. I am grateful for the love and caring for my mom and for all of the residents. They play games, have Trivia (yes Trivia!!). They sing, they learn, they share. You cannot fake caring for people. When your loved one has Dementia, life is hard. I found great peace knowing that not only was mom OK, she was safe, taken care of, and loved.

I can't say enough good things about Exton Senior Living. The staff genuinely care about their residents. They make a point to get to know each of the residents and they take great effort to have daily activities for them, whether it's activities or crafts or musicians being brought in, even chair massages! The facility is always very clean and all of the residents are all well taken cared of. The staff takes time to do the 'little things', like make sure a female resident is wearing their favorite earrings or headband in their hair. The meals are impressive, complete with table cloths at meal times to make dining special. Exton Senior Living also encourages family involvement and plans special activities like family dinners with their loved ones, and other events. Family can visit any time. The staff 'behind the scenes' is also very professional, efficient and responsive. It's been a wonderful experience and the team at Exton Senior Living provides wonderful 24/7 care for our family member (no wonder they get so many rewards and accolades in their industry). If you're in a situation that requires 24/7 care for your senior family member, I highly recommend Exton Senior Living.

My friend is living at Exton Sr. Living and I continue to be impressed by the facility. It is wonderful how all of the staff work together and come to assist a resident when needed. I have never seen any employee in a bad mood or unfriendly. They provide scheduled activities everyday for any resident to participate. No worry of meals, getting their medicines when needed, laundry, cleaning and not having help close by. The facility is very nice, but it is the people/staff that make it a great place!!!

I find this community to be very inviting and charming. As a community based social worker, who goes to several facilities, ESL has happy residents, nice care staff, and a clean facility. The management team is professional, compassionate, dedicated and kind! They have a great selection of activities and outings. The level of attentiveness overall enhances the care and comfort provided. My patients I see here are so happy with the quick response call bell program and that their families can scan a QR code to see the daily results. This is impressive to me! Way to go, ESL!

I recently accompanied a client and son on tours of assisted living facilities in the West Chester/Exton area. By the end of the day, it was unanimous--Exton Senior Living had won. From the moment we arrived, we felt the difference. Sincere and genuine team members who truly go above and beyond to make residents feel at home. My client moved to Exton Senior Living in December 2023. Each time I visit or call, she goes on and on about how grateful she is that we found this gem of a place. Exton Senior Living has been absolutely fantastic with my grandmother! Making the transition from living in her own home to needing assistance with daily activities was really tough for her. The staff at Exton understand -- and they care for her with love and respect. My sister-in-law reached a point in her need for care, and we felt completely lost and out of our depth when trying to research and find an Assisted Living facility that not only could care for her but could provide a safe and comfortable new home where she could thrive. Finding Exton Senior Living was a blessing. We live in a different state than our sister and I worked with Janet Mackay via email, phone and video. Janet went above and beyond helping us to understand our options and opportunities. My sister-in-law is all moved into her new 1-bedroom apartment. Took a tour through this beautifully decorated and super clean building with Janet. As we walked through the staff and residents smiled happily and we felt very welcomed. The front desk person was so happy and helpful, and the lunch we were invited to stay for was great. Looking forward to retirement and this being the next place I call home!

Firstly, the staff is incredible, sincere, and very kind both with residents as well as the visitors. The PT staff under Julie are professional and are dedicated to their jobs and their patients. In my opinion they do an excellent job. The place is clean and inviting. I give it 3.5 stars, my reasoning being I would like to see some basic amenities available to the residents. For example, napkins, paper towels, plates etc. And some refrigerated vending options for drinks, such as juice, soda pop, tea, coffee and late night snacks such as salads, sandwiches, ice cream etc. And a community microwave would be a nice addition. That certainly doesn’t seem like it would cause cost overruns considering the overall cost it is to live there. If I find myself needing quick answers or assistance I find Anna. She’s the best and she is always willing to accommodate me without hesitation to solve whatever issues or questions I have. A gigantic thanks to Anna!! One more thing, possibly you can come up with a different way for visitors to enter after 7pm. Calling the staff is an option, but it’s lengthy and it obviously interrupts the staff from their duties. Michelle La Rose

My mom has been living at Exton Senior living for about 4 months now and the transformation has been wonderful. She's eating much better and more often, making friends, enjoying the outside, and getting back into some old hobbies. She loves her apartment and not having to cook, clean, or do laundry. I love that she has as much privacy as she wants but is still being looked after and if she falls can be helped right back up. The whole facility is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff is warm and caring. I am thrilled that my mom is doing so well and that my sister and I chose Exton Senior Living for her!

We needed to find a place for my uncle quickly after he was hospitalized and needed personal care. I looked at several, but as soon as I walked into Exton Senior Living and met Janet Mackay, the Community Relations Director, I knew this was the place! Exton Senior Living is small and was recently totally renovated. The rooms are beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The staff is superb, knowledgeable and caring. When my uncle had a medical emergency, they knew exactly what to do and followed their protocol and kept me informed as he was being sent to the hospital. My uncle did not want to go to a personal care facility because he had lived in his single home for over 40 years but he agreed to go for 30 days for the rehab he needed. After 30 days, he asked if he could stay another 30 days, and after that he asked if he could make it his new permanent home!! He really enjoys conversing with the residents and attending the many activities offered! Exton Senior Living has taken a huge worry off my shoulders because I know he is receiving great care!!

We needed to find a place quickly for respite care for my father in law, who suffered a stroke, as we were traveling for work. We spent almost 2 hours touring the facility with Missy and fell in love with Exton Senior Living. The facility is beautiful and incredibly bright and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and kind, you can feel a real sense of family at the community. During my father in law’s stay, his health declined and he needed to go to the hospital. Chris and Missy regularly checked in with us and also helped us in making the best decisions for my father in law and his care. Upon discharge, it was recommended by the hospital that my father in law find a permanent placement somewhere, without hesitation, we chose Exton. The level of care my father in law receives is excellent and we truly love the facility. He will remain with Exton until he requires skilled nursing care. We’re so grateful for the community.

Our situation was extremely complicated. The plan was that our parents go to Exton together, they were transferring from another facility, Alyssa S. was amazing helping us coordinate admission! We (my brother and myself) live out of state, further complicating things. Thank goodness we have 1 sibling that is local but, boy did she have a full plate with everything that was going on. 3 days before transfer Dad had a massive seizure and was admitted to the ICU. We were unable to leave mom where she was, so we had to transfer her to Exton all by herself. With all of this happening during the pandemic, we had to drop her off at Exton and were unable to help her settle in or come visit (due to Covid restrictions). Mom has cognitive issues and gets very confused, so this situation was extremely overwhelming for her. I can’t say enough about how well all the staff supported Mom and made this impossible situation more bearable for her. Mom never had the opportunity to see Dad again due to Covid restrictions. Sadly, he passed away about 3 weeks after she got to Exton. Again, the staff was exceptional in helping support her (and us) during such a difficult time. Monica, the director of the Memory care unit is amazing! She kept me up to date on moms progress as she settled in. She even sent photos, I was shocked at how well Mom looked and she had the biggest smile in her face! This is the short version of our story but, suffice it to say, we have been extremely pleased with our experience with Exton Senior living, most importantly our mom is thriving and loves residing there!

Exton Senior Living is one of my favorite communities! Tracey and Alyssa go above and beyond for their residents everyday and treat them like their own family. They are always helpful when families and prospective residents visit. My team and I have also worked with Jacqui, Shawn and Ki Ki. Ki ki is always smiling (even behind the mask!) They treat every resident with such care and compassion. I'm thankful to know such a caring team that goes the extra mile, even during the most difficult of times.

We were looking for a place for my dad. He has Parkinsons but is still pretty much all there mentally so we wanted a place that would keep him active. Exton Senior Living certainly seemed to fit the bill. What drew us to a different community was that due to my dad's limited resources and declining health, his need for a facility that has skilled nursing and welcomes Medicaid pushed us to select another home. The staff at ESL was awesome and they were very definitely first choice for many aspects of senior care. I would highly recommend you give them a good look. Ask for Amber.

We were at a crossroads with my mother trying to find a place for her to live. We were told by all places we were looking that she was not qualified for assisted living but instead needed skilled nursing. We were then told about Exton Senior Living and how they accepted residents that needed more advanced care. We met with Amber who was extremely courteous, thorough and efficient. The facility was beautiful and quaint. There were many different living options and the dining was very flexible to eat as you wished throughout the day rather than set times you had to go. We were sold at the first visit that this is what we wanted/needed for my mom. Amber and her staff were patient as my mom fell into further health issues and unfortunately passed before she could become a resident. With our initial experience, I would strongly recommend giving them a look. Everyone we came in contact with that had experienced ESL had all great things to say.

I highly recommend Exton Senior Living. It is a clean, caring, loving environment. We wanted a safe place for our mom who has dementia and needs assistance with medication and some of her daily living activities While looking for the best place for her, we felt Exton Senior Living had the most home and family feel. We felt such a friendly air as we toured and then as she became a resident we saw how caring and loving the nurses, the director, and the staff really are. Everyone is known by name And greeted with respect. The size of the facility is perfect. My mom is able to navigate her way around and there are many activities scheduled for her to participate in. The staff makes sure she is encouraged to be involved. Within her first week, she is already participating and feeling more at home. Amber has been extremely helpful and supportive with the process. Jackie the nurse, Stephanie at the front desk, the therapists, and Manny, who has been there for many years, have made all the difference in knowing she is going to get the respect, care, and attention we desire for her. Thank you Exton Senior Living for providing a friendly, safe, and loving community for mom to live.

Several years ago, I was faced with the decision of moving my mother to a facility with a Memory Care community. I had toured several places before seeing Exton. I didn't know much about what my mother actually needed, just that she needed assistance. She was able to walk on her own and could still carry on a pretty lucid conversation at times. I needed to find a place that would stimulate her and keep her active. As soon as I walked into the memory care neighborhood I knew this would be home for her. The residents were singing in the activities space with some of the staff members. The rooms were very clean and the whole neighborhood smelled like fresh baked chocolate chip cookies (which were available anytime). The residents were engaged, happy and well taken care of. It was like a little city inside of a big city. It was small enough that my mother would feel protected and safe, and if she wandered couldn't get lost or wander far. The staff was so helpful and answered all my questions. I moved my mother in the following weekend and she called Exton Senior Living home for several years. She was able to continue to have her lucid moments along with her not so lucid moments but more importantly, she had the support of great care staff, wonderful activities staff and management that was second to none. I could call any time of day or night to talk to her or ask about her. I left here several days a week knowing that she was happy, well-cared for and safe. If you are looking for a place for a loved one, I would encourage you to tour Exton. In a time when we are so busy and have so much on our plates wouldn't it be nice for someone to say, "Hey, I got this for you."

Exton Senior Living is a bright and friendly place where you feel right at home when you walk in the door. The staff is always willing to help out and the residents are always doing something. The food is also fantastic. There is a nice little lounge where residents and visitors can get a cup of coffee or a cold drink at any time. The apartments are clean and bright. It's a great place for a senior who might need a little extra care or even secured memory care.

They were wonderful to my mom. The staff gets 5 stars for sure. Amber, Stephanie, Manny, Brenda, Abbey, plus so many more to mention, were wonderful to my mom both in personal care and memory care. They really go out of their way to treat people very nicely and bridge the gap during what is usually a challenging time in a families life. They offer great activities and encourage their guests to participate, but they don’t over do it so to speak. Their PT AND OT faculties are also wonderful if your lived in is in need of that service. My only suggestion for improvement would be strictly aesthetics, which is the only reason I would not give them a 5 star review. Exton Senior Living Certainly deserves 4.5 stars for sure.

I didn't know where to turn when my Dad was coming out of the hospital with a broken rib and other medical problems and I wasn't able to take care of him as I was living away for a few weeks. I called, and Stephanie put me in touch with Sue who was so understanding. I drove over and met with Amber who set me up so that Dad could come right from the hospital to respite at Exton Senior Living. Stacey was fabulous and made sure he was all settled when he got there. His two room suite was really great! He had the top of the line apartment/room I think/two baths, large bedroom, large living room with little fridge and kitchenette. The care was fabulous. Dad stayed an extra week after beginning some unexpected chemo at a local oncologist to be sure he had caregivers around if needed. The nurses checked in three times that first night and kept tabs on him for the week following his treatment. Florence, one of the nurses and in fact all of the nurses were FABULOUS. Everyone went out of their way to make my Dad's stay perfect. They took fabulous care of him. The food was great and Sakina, "Qwi"(sorry if I have that wrong), Jeffrey, Brandon and Reagan and others in the dining areas all were fabulous in seeing that my Dad had great meals and they were so sweet to him. Along with Stephanie, the other ladies at the reception desk were wonderful and treated me like a friend and my Dad like a family member. Everyone went so far over and above that when a recliner that was in my Dad's room caused back pain, Stacey talked to a family member of a recent resident who was no longer there to see if her recliner could be used for my Dad. The family member agreed and maintenance (the maintenance guys are fabulous too) moved it in for my Dad and moved the old one out. They don't have recliners as a normal piece of furniture in respite so to find one that suited my dad - they just went so far above and beyond. Anything I asked of them they did. I can't even remember everyone's names but I think it was John in activities, Fred who drives the van - everyone treat the residents like members of their own family. I am forever grateful to this great place for all they did for my Dad and will use them again for respite. Thank you all and if I forgot anyone by name, I apologize - I am grateful to you all.

I placed my wife at Exton Senior Living three years ago because of dementia and I have never had any regrets. She is safe, happy and content. The staff has often gone above and beyond what you would expect. Even providing clothing for her when her own clothing no longer fit. This place has been a blessing from God to me. I know that my wife will be taken care of even if something were to happen to me. God bless the staff at Exton Senior Living.

My mom was very well cared for in her short stay for 4 weeks. The staff was very friendly and attended to her so she was made to feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place . I interacted with Amber and she is an extremely pleasing person who responds very promptly. I had to leave mom in Exton Senior when we were away in India and Amber would respond any time I called to update me. My mom enjoyed her stay there too with her own room which was very comfortable. This place is definitely one to look at if you are considering an assisted living.

After bringing my mother to West Chester I first put her in another facility that had a memory care unit. After about a year I found it wasn't the place for my mother. I then searched the area. I happened upon Exton Senior Living. In this facility the residents that needed Memory care were treated like human beings. They made my Mother a priority like all the rest of the residents. I knew she was being cared for. They have full time nurses and the knowledge to not only care for my loved one but also help the family members that would visit feel comfortable and help them through this emotional time. My mother passed the end of January but I still go back to visit. Great place if you need help with any member of your family or any friends that need help. I consider them definitely five star!

When the time came to move my parents to Pennsylvania from their home in Massachusetts, I was fortunate to have found Exton Senior Living. I was immediately impressed by the warm, inviting atmosphere, and the sensitive and caring manner in which my concerns were addressed. The move was complicated, as my mother had to be moved via medical transport because of her health, but Kara went above and beyond in helping me to coordinate everything between hospice and medical teams in both Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Once we arrived, the entire staff of Exton Senior Living welcomed us with open arms and went out of their way to make my parents' rooms comfortable and to alleviate any concerns I had about their care. Unfortunately, my mother passed away only 2 weeks later, but the staff continued to care for my father for 8 months until he too passed away. My father was legally blind and had mobility issues, requiring much care, but the staff was very caring and treated him with dignity, always making sure he was involved in whatever activities he could participate in. My husband and I were also treated like family, and any concerns that we had were quickly addressed. I can't stress how impressed I am with Exton Senior Living and would recommend it to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one.

I can only sing praises about Exton Senior Living. As many of you have experienced or are experiencing, it is a very hard decision to place your loved ones care in someone else's hands. Trusting that their daily needs will be met, making sure that they are happy and transitioning socially, eating, drinking is very stressful. All of which I worried about with my Mom. I've witnessed the kindness, compassion and respect that is given to each and every resident. This IS NOT a facility; it IS a community -- family. The care my Mom received far exceeded my expectations. In her final days, she was tenderly cared for by each staff member that entered her room; even if the staff wasn't scheduled to take care of Mom, they stopped to say hello. They made her final days peaceful and respectful. I have the upmost respect for everyone there. AND I could never thank them enough for their love and compassion. Oh, did I mention that their Recreation Department and staff is top notch - upbeat, personable! A TRULY HAPPY experience.

Upon visiting 6 other facilities in the area I decided on Exton Senior Living for my Mother. I am so happy with my decision. My first contact was by phone with Kara, and immediately I felt a sense of comfort and reliability. I was given 3 days to find placement for my Mom and they made it happen, and most of all, it was stress free. On my tour, everyone in the facility was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help in any way. The facility is clean and the residents are happy and well attended to. It feels like family. I am very happy with my decision and highly recommend becoming a member of the Exton Senior Living Family.

Walking into Exton Senior Living you are immediately embraced by a welcoming community. Staff has been with the community for years and are quick to help in any type of situation. From Personal Care to the Bridge to Rediscovery, there is always an activity or event going on involving the residents. I always look forward to visiting Exton Senior Living!

At Exton Senior Living you get a sense of comfort.The residents are very comfortable and happy.The staff plan many special events that incrude the residents participation such as the Mummers and an art show featuring the handiworks of the residents to name a couple. There is also a memory care unit which is so important as seniors age and their memory needs change.
