Maplewood Darien was fantastic for my Aunt when caring for herself at home was no longer possible. She settled in quickly thanks to the lovely attentive staff, enjoyed all the activities and the constant company of other residents and the staff. On all my visits, Maplewood was always clean and fresh and certainly didn't come across as your "standard" care home. All staff were lovely and really seemed to take an interest in the well-being and happiness of my Aunt. Management were always responsive to any queries, suggestions or concerns and I was kept up to date on my Aunts health and well-being at all times. Couldn't have chosen a better residence for my Aunts last few years where she was safe, secure, well looked after and cared for by all management and staff. I am extremely grateful for the staff at Maplewood at Darien for how they have helped navigate my grandmother moving to a nursing home to assisted living. They communicated effectively and were very helpful/diligent with helping me transition my grandmother to their facility. My wife and I had a wonderful tour with my mother-in-law. Even though she is not at a point to move anywhere, it gave us a great idea of the best that is out there. The team was welcoming and the residents all said hello. When we are more serious, this is the place we will come back to.

Absolutely stunning establishment from top to bottom. The outside of the building is well maintained with a stunning street view of the flowers and professional landscaping. The staff are beyond exceptional, warm hearted, kind, and caring people. The food smells, looks, and tastes exceptional.

Maplewood continually tries to improve the living and care experience for my loved one. The care is professional and well managed by the staff. The director is delightful to work with. The facilities and amenities are very attractive and well maintained. The environment is caring, friendly and pleasant to reside in. The variety of social and musical options enhance the living experience. Outings are well thought out and enjoyed by those who participate. The chef is very open minded to suggestions from the residents and provides healthy attractive meals with many options. Maplewood meets our expectations for assisted living and memory care. Vaccine administration was very well organized and completed on time. Spa ,doctor and dental options are accommodated when needed.The new nursing staff is excellent and easy to reach. The staff is very friendly and open to suggestions and requests. Overall a nice place to call home.

My mother has been living at Maplewood at Darien for the past 18 months, and as we have all endured hardships since the pandemic, I must say that Maplewood has handled this delicate situation with the utmost care and integrity. The staff is professional, and the facilities are very clean.

Went to tour the place, great environment, peaceful and friendly, the staff were very nice, food was GREAT, compliments to the chef! The Culinary director was nice, so was the front desk when they greeted me! You can tell they care about the residents that live there! 5 stars!

Very friendly and attentive staff. Was greeted right away by the concierge and was asked if I could be helped. Community is very clean and updated. The executive director showed me around and greeted the residents that passed by with a smile and by their name. She seems very caring and dedicated to her position. A real people person. Will definitely keep this in mind for the future for when my parents may need a place to settle into when they need more help. I highly recommend.

My aunt lived at Maplewood Senior Living in Darien and loved it. I was very pleased at the attention she got from staff. She participated in activities, which she did not care to do when she first moved in. The activity staff was so warm and nurturing. My aunt Muriel turned a 100 while she was there, and they threw a huge party for her (even made the local news) Muriel would said she didnt like all the attention, but she couldnt stop talking about it. Maplewood had a very open and welcoming atmosphere not only by the employees but also the residents. I am nothing but pleased by the care my aunt had received and highly recommend taking a look at this assisted living.

Caring and detailed oriented staff members. I have been living in this community since May 2018 - i have seen many changes throughout the years - some are good , some not so good. The renovation is nice but it really doesnt match the needs and residents culture. Food is good, activities and concierge team are very helpful - Excellent staff overall .

The Team at Maplewood Darien have been amazing since we transitioned my Mother there 3 months ago. You really get a feeling of community from the very beginning and the staff are 100% involved with my Mother's day to day routine. Everyone on staff knows my Mom and they all know me as well! Carrie Hammond and Susanne Bengtsson did an amazing job of helping us get my Mother moved and settled in quickly and they were there every day to reassure her about the move. I no longer worry about her every minute of the day as I know the staff makes sure she is getting to all of her meals and activities and not sitting alone in her apartment all day.

I have a family member who has been a resident at Maplewood for two years and he is thriving under their care. They provide a wonderful environment (bright, clean, a place anyone would be glad to call home) but, most importantly, it's the exceptional staff that makes Maplewood a cut above. The staff is professional, friendly and caring and "know" each of the residents, not just by name, but by what they like, what they don't, how to best engage them in the myriad of activities that are offered on a daily basis.The result is a unique level of personalized care that clearly differentiates Maplewood.

The entire staff made the transition for my parents from their home in Darien of 60 years, to their apartment at Maplewood, far easier than we expected. They are a staff of dedicated, hard working, loving people who do their best to fulfill each resident's individual needs. My parents always felt well cared for. In addition, the facility is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. It gave my family and I great comfort and peace having them there and knowing they were compassionately and safely being cared for.

Maplewood is a great place to call home. The facility and grounds are beautifully maintained with plenty of community areas including a garden. The Dining room has white linen table clothes and serves a refined menu with a wine selection. The rooms are generous and have private phone, wifi, cable and individual heating and cooling to accommodate each residents needs. They provide medical, prescription and transportation services. The staff is attentive and caring and maintains a high level of communication with the family. If you are looking for a special place for someone special this is it!!!!

My Dad is here and he really likes the place. He was able to create his living space to his desires. He has made it his home. The staff is very pleasant and attentive, and informative. The grounds are beautiful. The common areas are quite clean and well appointed. The parking garage has numerous spaces. The building has a very bright appearance because of the atrium design. I feel confident that me Dad is getting the best care possible.
