Loved living here until the pit bull on the first floor attacked two tenants and sent them to the hospital. The pits owner walks the dog around the outside of the building and in the parking lot. The pitbull will growl and bark at you and the owner, being a smaller lady does her best to hold him back but her screaming at him seems to aggravate the dog more. Lease is almost ending, I'm looking for a safer place to call home.

I have lived here for 5 years at first it was a lovely place to live, but no longer. The management has changed everything, no meals, no activities, nothing, plus a staff that doesn't care. Today I am sitting in my apartment with no air conditioning, which has been out for a week. And on top of that we have no water today. The lobby and other areas do not have air conditioning either and I've been told they won't be getting any. I even bought a fan and asked if they could help set it up and they refused to help. I am a legally blind and 74 years old. Don't move here.

Lulu and Francisco were very helpful and curious. I would recommend this place to others. They are what most places should have. The answer any questions that I might have. My wife and I just wanted to say thank you both.

They used to serve to residents, now they do not. They remodeled the outside & lobby, increasing rent. No longer have safety pully or housekeeping. Very nice staff, but the prices have increased, yet the services have been cut. This is housing for seniors who don't have a lot of money. I find that disappointing.

The place is ok. When I first helped my sister move in they were (still are) under renovation. We were told about all the activities they offered and how on Fridays there is day trips and different things. Also how they take you to your appointments or grocery shopping. This place is bare minimum. I talked to other residents and they used to provide meals and cleaning services plus transportation. A new company took it over and decided to make it a 55+ community instead of senior living more focused on older seniors. The place is pretty expensive for what you get (a basic apartment and happy hour on Wed). The community isn't gated so anymore can access the facility pretty easily. I feel sad for the elders that are left there after the other company took over. They have to figure out how to get their daily food plus pay high right.

Beautiful place, tons of activities! Kay really helped my mom and her husband to get into senior living place quickly and went the extra mile to give them a guest room to stay in while their place was being prepared for move in! Thank you so much, Kay!

Robert has such an outstanding personality. Its so warm welcoming and homey. The kitchen is amazing with the best meals. The kitchen staff is so helpful and kind. The desserts are all ways so delicious. I get so excited to try them.

My father has lived here for almost 4 years. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the current Director, Robert Coe, has really made a difference since he came on board in the fall of 2019. His personality and enthusiasm is infectious and has transformed the atmosphere of the facility in such a positive way. I am very pleased with how my father is cared for and treated; it puts my mind at ease.

My mother who is 91 years old has lived at The Atrium at Carmichael for 10 years now. She has a very comfortable apartment and enjoys her life there. The staff is always very friendly and helpful to both family and residence. There is a great group of people who live there and I can say that we have made many good friends over the years. I highly recommend the Atrium at Carmichael! Robert Coe the residence manager goes out of his way to make sure the residence are safe, happy, and well taken care of.
December 2020
My mom lived here for eight years and just recently moved for increased care. She loved it here, she had made a lot of friends, and the staff treated her like family. Many fun activities for residents, and even during COVID they found ways to help the residents with extra activities when families werent able to visit. There is a great on site hair salon run by Joyce for those who need it. Executive Director Robert Coe came just over a year ago and has really focused on improving residents experience from activities, dining, facility maintenance, and most importantly, the health and well being of the residents.

My Father in Law lived here the last four years of his life. We had our ups and downs with minor incidents (mostly caused by Dad and driving his scooter too fast). Since, Robert has taken over as Director the place has turned around 100%. Robert really cares about the residents and will listen to you. The food got better and the place became cheerful. I would recommend Atrium to anyone who is looking for a senior living place. I admired watching couples eat together in the dining room. This is a perfect place for older people who dont want to cook and enjoy socializing. They have many activities. We originally chose Atrium because the cost for a one bedroom apartment was less than other locations studio apartment. The rent does go up every year but I am sure that is true everywhere. To top it off the scenery and the duck ponds thru out and under the facility make for a very relaxing atmosphere.

Visited mother inlaw. Nice facility.
March 2020
Looked a many places to which I could relocate and The Atrum (Independent Living) was the best selection for me. The grounds are manicured, dog friendly and the many ducks enjoy all the lovely ponds. The open Common Area is lively, enjoy a Wed afternoon cocktail or participate in various activities-classes or just vegitate in you own studio, one-bedroom apt or, if you require a live-in caregiver or need more room, you can choose the 2-bedroom apt.. There are reserved well-appointed guest suits for family and-or friends instead of utilizing hotel sevices (reservations available). I could go on with more accolades (laundry, housekeeping, utilities and 2 prepared meals-day) but the major reason I reccommend highly that you and family consider The Atrium is THE STAFF!!! They are enthusiastic, exceedingly helpful and it began, for me with the Executive Director and Sales Mgr. I am delighted that I am a new resident and look forward to a bright future!!!

My mother in-law lived out her days here. Right in the middle of town, yet very peaceful. Running water and ponds throughout the grounds, full of ducks and birds, pet friendly, friendly neighbors, overall decent place for the money.

This is a nice affordable place. My mother moved here after having a heart attack and stroke. After my mother lived here about 3 - 6 months, I spent a quality time vacation with her. I waited until she got settled before my extended stay. She has a capable kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. She lives by herself. Meals are provided twice a day: For lunch and dinner. The week meal menu is published in advance. A day before your meal you can place a special order to avoid something unsavory. You get juice with every meal and a double desert if you wish. As you might have gathered, the social entertainment revolves around food. Everyone is assigned a seat at a round table. Everyone at the table develops something close to a brother and sister relationship. Sometimes the group even throws a pot luck party. It was cool. I liked this eating table arrangement, as your dinner table gives you instant friends. You find things in common to talk about, and maybe even have words over, but you get over it and meet again for the next meal. I'm physically disabled myself and was instantly accepted. I felt good being there and it made me think about how I would be happy living in an assisted living situation like the Atrium. The staff are nice, and there are planned events like going out to a restaurant for lunch once or more a month. Going to the mall. Going grocery shopping. DVD movie night. Cards. Bingo. A pet bird. And more. It was very nice, when we went to lunch. You get to meet new people, for one thing. But on the way home the bus did a little neighbor dive through. I thought this was great. The entire bus was talking about what they were seeing. Shops, restaurants, houses, everything. Signing up for external events is near the coffee/tea room. Self serve coffee and tea is available all day by the way. Sunday mimosas where tasty too. The grounds are nice with ponds and ducks. My mom's place had a patio door that led to the internal courtyard of the complex. She had a few potted plants to take care of along with a small table and chairs. We opened the sliding door in the evening and morning for a cool breeze through the screen door. Staff unobtrusively check attendence at every meal. Some one checks on you if you do not show for a meal without prior cancellation. I normally don't write such long reviews, but it is my mother staying there. Any you might be looking at your mother or father staying there too so I thought you might be interested in the details. I feel good that my mother is there. Altogether a stayed 7 consecutive nights and days on 1 occasion then another 5 days and nights shortly thereafter. Honestly, I wouldn't mind staying there myself actually.
