My father was in a memory care facility in Lincoln for nearly two years when we suddenly had to move him due to the care facility closing down. This was a very stressful time. It is not easy to find the right place in a short amount of time. We were so happy to find Solano Life House and to be able to have my dad in a memory care facility that was much closer to where we live so we could visit him more often. Mary Felix is the administrator. She came to Lincoln to assess my dad and I immediately felt comfortable with the sweet passion she has for aged folks! Moving my dad to Solano was the best move for all of us! The staff at SLH are amazing! They are so caring and are always engaging to the residents. My dad loved it there even though he had Alheimer's. I was always greeted with a smiling face when I went to pick up my dad to take him to lunch. The staff are so accommodating in making sure he was clean shaven, dressed and ready to go when I got there. There was always someone talking to my dad and telling him how handsome he was or uplifting him with praise. The staff at SLH are amazing, and truly care for their clients. The food is amazing and the Medical Technician's know there job! A big shout out to Annette, Susie and Michelle! Thanks again, for making my dad's stay comfortable and caring. Love you all!

Our family had a great experience at Solano Life House. My father was there under hospice care for over four months in the spring of 2022. We visited him several times a week and every time we found the staff welcoming, the House clean, and he and his fellow residents well cared for. There are a range of residents there from Alzheimers patients and those under Hospice care to those getting some extra assistance. They all blended well there and the staff genuinely care about each one. Many on staff have been there a long time which is a testament to the environment.

I had mistakenly moved my Mom into a corporate place that promised the moon but quickly found they could not deliver the care she needed. I needed to move her and fast! I toured Solano Life House, met the manager, Mary and many of the care staff. After the previous place, we were looking for anything negative before moving my Mom again... but we found nothing. My Mom had many problems from her stroke and had dementia setting in. Solano Life House knew exactly how to provide the best, supportive, loving care for her. They even taught ME how to better understand her illnesses. Most importantly Mary, Porter and the med techs. directed me to highly qualified medical professionals to address Mom's problems. I visited Mom a lot. Each time I would come, she was being loved on, talked to and engaged to her current capacity. It always surprised me to see the amount of teamwork that went on in order to provide the best love and care from the staff, not just for Mom, but for all the residents. There were many debilitated residents but I would see happy, smiling faces fully engaged with many activities. The food is truly home cooking and GOOD! One day my Mom had missed breakfast and lunch due to an illness. When she finally was ready to eat, I asked the kitchen for something mild, like soup, and the chef said she would make her some. I said to just open a can, like Campbells or something. She said, "that's not healthy! I will make her some chicken, vegetable soup. It will be ready in 45 minutes," and it was. By the time we got Mom up, she was eating her healthy, homemade soup! There are many outings for capable residents like Farmers markets, church, nail and hair salons. For others with difficulties, there are frequent visitations by kids from a nearby school, singers, entertainers, piano player etc. The staff also plans many events for the residents to participate in - for example, 4th of July, Taco night, Thanksgiving, just to name a few. The setting is as close to family as I could have found. When I left for the day, I knew my Mom was WELL taken care of! Unfortunately, Mom recently passed away. I came in several times after and received lots of hugs, along with tears from the staff. Several said to me, "Losing them is the hardest part of the job, because we love them too."

Solano life house is a wonderful place to have person you care for live and be cared for. The staff is very kind and professional when dealing with people in there care. We saw them give a hug when the people needed it. The rooms are very clean and kept up to a very high standard. Our friend liked the food very well, she gained weight and she did need to. If needed, I would place any member of my family in SolanoLifeHouse.

To the staff at Solano Life House. I have a dear friend who is a new resident in your Facility. She seems Happy and says she's very Happy there. The Staff seem to be very caring, helpful and experienced in assiating the residents. I am sure most of them would rather be in their own homes but at this stage in their lives, they are fortunate to have a place like yours to call home. It's very clean and well kept. Thank all of you for your care, hard work and the service you provide not only for their Families but Friends as well!

My mom lived at Solano Life House for nearly 4 years and I was very pleased with our experience there. I originally placed her somewhere else and that was a HUGE mistake! Once moved to Solano LIfe House she began to feel safe, and eventually began to smile again. The care givers and other staff hugged her, joked with her, and genuinely cared for her and her happiness. As a family member I always watched how the staff cared for not just my mom but everyone living there. Their care and concern seemed to be consistent weather a family member was present or not. The facility manager Mary and General Manager Porter were always open to suggestions and very responsive as my mom's needs evolved. I highly recommend and have referred several friends to bring their family member to SLH. Actually three of them also placed loved ones at Solano Life House and are all very happy with their decision to do so. Placing my mom in a facility was the hardest thing I ever had to do but once at Solano Life House it was the best thing for my mom!

My father in law lived here for just under three years and we were all very happy with the great caregivers who treated him like extended family. Even more importantly, he loved it there because of the kind and personable staff. The staff to residents ratio is higher than the corporate owned care homes we toured and the administrator at SLH is very focused on making the care personal. We saw fancier care homes, but none had the quality of care or personal attention here. We were very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend Solano Life House and the added bonus is that they charge a flat rate for care, unlike most care homes.

I currently work at Solano Life House and have never had such a rewarding work experience. When I leave at the end of the day I feel fulfilled and look forward to seeing the residents the next day. The staff is truly a team. Of course not all jobs are perfect and there are days when we all grumble, and may be short staffed, but even then we pull together (Management included) and get through the day. Solano Life House believes in pet therapy, music therapy, and taking care of residents and each other. Hugs are very abundant and freely given. When looking for a care facility you will be pleasantly surprised by Solano Life House. I have recommended family and friends to the facility. I know your loved ones with be well taken care of at Solano Life House.

I would highly recommend this facility for anyone that is looking for a home for their loved ones. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and will to go the extra mile for each and every resident. As an employee I love working with everyone, team players, everyone helps each other. If you’re looking for a place to feel at home and also love to interact with people then this is the place for you. You get that one on one time with the residents while working. Everyone is very supportive and willing to help you if you need it.

Solano Life House has a friendly environment. The staff warmly greets family as they enter. They sincerely care about the residents and treat them with courtesy and dignity. The staff involves the residents in daily activities and regular outings. They do their best to take care of all the ongoing needs of the residents. The meals and snacks are nutritious and appetizing. I would recommend SLH. It is a demanding job for them, but considering cost and atmosphere, they are excellent.

Have you ever realized that by making mistakes we learn so much more about what is actually right? By making the right decision we may never know how right it was or why it was right? I'm learning this lesson over and over again including with my mom and the choices I am now forced to make regarding her care. For anyone in Northern California with parents needing dementia care Solano Life House is a wonderful place. It doesn't look fancy because it isn't. In fact I originally placed her elsewhere because it felt a bit too institutional and stark for what I thought my mom would want. She is there now because the first home told me they didn't want to keep her. Well I am so glad they did because Solano Life House is a wonderful place. The caregivers are amazing, kind, compassionate people. They are so gentle and respectful of each resident. Everyone there including the maintenance staff "gets it." They are angels! Every time I visit mom I am more convinced that my second try was the "right" choice!
