We're incredibly grateful for the care our father received during his three years at the Royalton. This was our first experience in an assisted living environment and the team at Royalton made his transition as pleasant and comforting as possible. His caregivers took a personal interest in his health and well being and didn't hesitate to contact my nearby sister whenever circumstances warranted. I would highly recommend the Royalton to anyone seeking a homelike setting for their family member.

There are not enough words to express how grateful we were with the staff and care team at Royalton Place. From the first day to the last they were top notch.My husband, Rusty Law, entered into hospice the same day we entered into assisted living. There are always a few hiccups along the way, however the love and care that was given to my husband, who contributed to the community for years was unsurpassed. We extend all of our gratitude to their team. And to Tenderly Hospice who were amazing in their support. As a home health nurse working in facilities and care homes, I’m typically critical in looking for the good and bad in places” and I’ve had the privilege of seeing patients at Royalton Place and can’t praise the team of enough for the great care they provide. The food is visually and aromatically delightful, and the outside grounds and gardens are a peaceful place to chart after seeing patients. The residents are lovely people.

Royalton is a friendly and caring place for your loved one. From the moment Susie welcomes you in you feel valued. It is small enough that everyone knows every resident’s name. My husband and I have been holding weekly Bible studies there for almost 25 years and have seen many improvements over the years. They have lots of activities and individual attention. I would definitely recommend Royalton for friends and family.

I visit Royalton on a weekly basis, and have opportunities to interact with both residents and staff. I’m impressed with the caring attitude of the staff that I come in contact with. Angela (activities director) does a good job of keeping things busy. Most of the residents seem happy to be there. I would recommend Royalton to anyone looking for a place for their loved one to stay.

I realize that 5 stars is perfection but I will stand by this review because - although no one can ever truly be perfect - it is definitely possible to get very close. Beginning with the friendly voices that answer the phone (Susie and Sandy!) that set the tone, to the dining staff that takes extra care of my mother's special dietary wants (i.e. hot peppers and salsa) and the care staff that treat Mom with the utmost care and respect even with the smallest things, this is a great place for my mother to age in place for her remaining years. Thank you isn't enough but maybe this review will let others considering Royalton Place discover this gem in the heart of Milwaukie, Oregon.

the staff at Royalton are like family & treat dad like family, they are so supportive & actually caring. They give him his privacy but are there to help when he needs it. The food is always good with multiple options each meal. The carpeting could be replaced & shows it's wear but you can see the cleaning staff work to keep it at it's best.

Our father moved into the Royalton in September of 2023. It is hard for anyone to move from their home of 40 years. The entire staff at the Royalton has made his transition a caring and friendly experience. Always a smile with personal hellos. I have found the staff to be informative and easy to work with. The facility is small enough to give that personal feeling and large enough to have a good foundation.

I don't care what you read or what someone's past experience was. No assistant living or memory care facility is 100% perfect. What matters the most is the love and care that the staff gives my parents each and every day. Making sure they are safe and cared for. The laughter and joy I see & experience when I walk in the facility. From the front desk staff, the dinning room staff and residents that live there. Everyone is family to me. The caregivers are very intuned to the needs of the residents and will go out of their way to make sure their needs for the day are meet. Bottom line is this. I can go to bed at night and not worry about my parents. Their needs are meet and they are safe and happy. All thanks to the staff at Royalton.

Our 83 year old brother has been kindly and professionally cared for at Royalton Place for 6 months. His recent medical tests show significant improvements and we are grateful to Royalton for their help. Staff are warm, caring, and skilled, and we recommend Royalton strongly.

My dad needed to move to an assisted living facility a year ago, as he did not have the ability to cook and clean on his own. We found Royalton Place and my dad enjoys being there. I visit often (usually two or more times a week) and I always see all staff addressing the residents by name and enthusiastically. It does not feel institutional but more like residences. They have tons of activities (and I wish my dad participated more) including bus trips, professional musicians playing, celebrations, and bus trips each week. When my dad moved there, the staff made sure to do introductions to other residents, so he could find a set of friends including to sit with in the dining room. My dad loves the food and I can join him (and his buddies) for lunch or dinner for a small reasonable price. The med techs are on top of the medications and the RN can coordinate with my dad's doctor. They have helped me such as printing out daily blood pressure to bring to his medical appointments and conferring on his physical therapy. Some downsides of Royalton - they do not have an onsite or visiting physician. They could clean the room more thoroughly - his cups often sit in the sink too long or the bathroom needs a cleaning. All in all, we are happy with Royalton and my dad is doing well there.

My dad chose to live at Royalton Place when he needed to move to assisted living, after having visited his mother-in-law there many times in the past. The facility is clean, modern, and has a friendly non-institutional appearance. Though I never ate there, I do recall some mouth-watering smells coming from the dining room. The staff are very friendly and helpful, from the receptionists to the nurse to the assistants. They went the extra mile to help out during all aspects of my father's stay there. When he went to the hospital for long-term health issues, he couldn't wait to get back to his apartment at Royalton Place. I have to say that now that dad has passed on, I will miss the staff there. Our experience with Royalton Place was very positive.

We checked out this care facility for our mother Annie on line and in person. At every step we were impressed with the quality of the people working there and the soft gentle care that they gave each resident. We would hear the girls say "I love you" often to all the people there in the memory care wing and by the time mom passed from her dementia, we felt that she had the whole staff family around her and us supporting us to the end. We cannot thank them enough for their wonderful work caring for mom and making us feel welcome in our many visits this past year. We will recommend them to everyone that wants to hear of a good place where you don't have to worry about your loved one being ignored. Special thanks to Christy, Samona, Alexy, Karen and Naomi for their loving care.

Royalton was recently bought by Cascade Living Group this year and they've done an amazing job of upgrading care, training staff, etc. I encourage anyone who's looking to move a loved one into a senior community to check it out!

Royalton Place is a great place i have been to soo many other facilities and this place tops it. the staff works as a team they communicate the residents look very happy and the buildigng is beautiful. The food tastes great and the service from the staff kitchen make u feel like you are in a resturant and not is a dinning room. The facility acomidates for assisted living and memory care witch is soo nice.If you want great care for your loved ones Royalton Place is the Best

The staff and caregivers are extremely friendly and caring. I love the games director always super high affinity with all patients and creative. Whoever puts on events is choosing a good mixture of performers, inviting churches, who do a wonderful job. The menus with soup and main dishes are good looking and tasty. The dining area and recess areas always clean and looking nice with flowers. A lemon water stand by reception keeps everybody hydrated. The only negative aspect is the daily sugar desserts at lunch and dinners. For memory care patients especially counterproductive as Alzheimer's disease etc .will worsen tremendously with sugarintake as per latest health research.

When my mother was ready for assisted living, we were lucky to find Royalton Place. The staff here, from the executive director on down the line, were all caring and attentive to my mother's needs. The facility is beautiful and meals are delicious. Residents are given a chance to engage in various projects, exercise programs, and off-site activities. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be valued and respected.
