Courtney was very friendly and professional she provided so much information about the facility. We walked away with a lot more knowledge of the process than we had prior to the visit. She also provided us with a tour of the facility.

In July 2023, we had to move my 93 year old father (a Navy Vet) from Va. Beach down here to Walnut Ridge Assisted Living. From day 1, Courtney Shelton was a tremendous help by explaining the whole process and what we were about to undertake. She and Katie Reilly made the process as painless as could be. My father has been living at Walnut Ridge now since July and he is still adjusting somewhat but for the most part he has adjusted well for a 93 year old. The staff as a whole at Walnut Ridge are great and very accomodating. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to place there loved ones in an assited living facility.

The staff at Walnut Ridge have always been professional and polite when I have been there. Very grateful they allow us the opportunity to come and praise the Lord Jesus through songs and share a message from the Bible with those who desire to attend. Such a sweet atmosphere.

My brother had a stroke in January and after a long stay at a rehab hospital it was time to find an assisted living! I highly recommend Walnut Ridge Assisted Living in Walnut Cove! Came to visit our mother, grandmother and great grandmother. As a nurse and director, I am so happy she is here. The staff were exceptional. Warm greetings, attentive, and always willing to talk and inform the family of any progress or problems. Her room was beautiful and I love that they encourage socializing with the other residents. I’ve seen many assisted living facilities but I was throughly impressed. Our grandma seems adjusted and comfortable.

The times I have visited the facility it smelled clean, appeared well organized and had a comfortable atmosphere. The people I spent time with seemed well adjusted and content with their surroundings. The staff was familiar with who and where each tenant was. There is a check in and out. I have no complaints at this time.

There is no place like home, but Walnut Ridge is the next best thing. My mom has been there almost a month and everyone treats her like family. If you have a loved one looking for the care they need you should call and take a tour.

We have three dear friends currently at Walnut Ridge. It’s comforting to see them settle into a home-like environment. Life doesn’t always give us what we want but it does offer alternatives. We appreciate each measure of comfort and care they provide.

New to the Walnut Ridge Family, bringing our Aunt here. My sister and I both have been pleasantly surprised at how smooth the staff has made this transition for us. Angie Bailey has been a blessing in helping us, she has made the process easier and been such a sympathetic listener. She has given us the support we so needed in making this decision. The facility is so clean and welcoming, and all the staff we have met has been friendly and helpful. We hope that this will be a pleasant "home away from home" for our Aunt.

My mom moved to Walnut Ridge in February of this year. She acts and feels better than she has in years. The staff has been very helpful and supportive and genuinely cares for moms well being.

The resident care at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living is beyond amazing!! We never worry about Daddy because we know the team members treat him like their family!!! They have keep us updated on what is going on and they go above and beyond with sending us pictures!!

Went to visit patient at Walnut Ridde Assistated Living and was very upset in condition I found the patient I was visiting. I am retired and have worked at hospital 42 years and never found seen this manner before. Nurses and staff in front lacking on checking on their patients they are getting paid to take are of. Shame on this site and condition I found this patient. I got help to assist me in helping clean and change this patient. I do not advise anyone unless they have someone close to check daily on a patient to be placed here. My rating for this Walnut Ridge Assisted Living is 1 out of top rating of 5. ⭐

My mother is doing very well here at Walnut Ridge. She had just turned 99 years old so it was getting to that time to put her somewhere. My mother enjoys the many interactions with more people, she loves the activities that she participates in, and the staff team takes good care of her. I was worried at the beginning, but honestly this was the best thing that I could have done. My mother gets three meals a day and she loves the food there. She has a prescription for one medication and they help administering it to her regularly. She receives assistance about three times a week for her bathing and she loves it because it makes her feel better. She has a small private room so she has her independence and privacy, but someone is occasionally checking in on her making sure that she is OK. She is very happy here which makes me happy. The location is very convenient as well because it is about five minutes away from my sister and I. I just feel so appreciative for the care that she gets.

I am so pleased we found this community it was a such a good choice. My dad is very happy there he really likes it. The location is just perfect for people to visit. The staff is wonderful very friendly they take their time with the residents and families they are very interactive with the residents. The food is fine here. I really have the piece of mind knowing that he is here and he is being taken care so well.
